Travel / Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by chichii: 10:55pm On Mar 09, 2010 |
oyewolejos: By the way, the reason i am looking now is because interview slots get filled fast at US embassies especially the embassies in Nigeria. Some embassies post dates 8-10 weeks in advance. If you understand how the appointment in Lagos/Abuja works please explain better instead of getting edgy unnecessarily. Ill keep checking, thanks for your reply. |

nethacker: nethacker, Am in yankee oh, we will be done with school May 14th or 15th. I dont want to renew too but my parents are insisting i must renew. I am tired of arguing with them so ive decided ill just come home to renew. I was initially thinking of Canada but it doesn't seem as safe as previous years. My first renewal was in canada. So nigeria looks like my only option. The appointment system is confusing. I have all my documents ready but i cant find an appointment slot online for may, Any suggestions |

does anyone know the procedure for renewing student visa's in Nigeria. I tried the website and there are no available interview date for May in Lagos or Abuja, Its ridiculous. Plus they've changed the forms to DS 160, Nigeria's name is not on the list. Is there a different proceedure, If anyone has extra info, please let me know, |

This might not be the case for you but you might be able to learn a thing or two. Politics / Re: Nigerian, Miss Mma Okafor, 19, At Northern Illinois University, Wins Internship by chichii: 9:05pm On May 08, 2009 |
biina: I agree with you Blina, Goodness gracious, its just a freaking internship, If you work hard and do the right thing you are expected to get one or two internship before the end of your university career. Nigerians do really make a mountain out of nothing. We should say congratulations but her achievement is not extra-ordinary. Yes, she has done well but if you know responsible students in the US you can find several other examples with the same or even more accomplishments. This just shows how ignorant some Nigerians can be. The other day, people where shouting about a Nigerian student turning vegetable oil into bio-diesel. The educated ones would know that this is not economically feasible. Yes its an improvement but of what relevance is it. Mr poster, some Nigerian students get internships with Multinationals, Fortune 500 companies, congress, FBI etc Its not a big deal. |
