I have been following the trend right from the beginning and I most say it is a very informative trend please house I need urgent reply on a problem I have and I would so much appreciate it if an honorable member of the house could be of any assistance........ my real age is 25 years old but in my international passport my age is 32years (and there is also mistake in my place of birth) because of a stupid mistake made by the issuing passport officer.I tried my best to correct the mistake to no avail before I left for Dubai to save enough money for college....currently I secured admission in one of the schools in Ontario and in my LOA the inserted my passport's date of birth(32yrs) instead of my Waec's age(real age which is 25)....so my questions are 1) how badly will this mistakes hunt me and my dreams and prevent me from securing TRV 2) would it be better to swear an affidavit stating that the passport age is a mistake and my real age is that of my waec 3) what other proof do I need to present to support my affidavit(currently I only have my birth certificate, baptism card and waec result) Am open to suggestions from gurus of the house and remain blessed |

Linafloxy:dear if u trust yourself tu well.....go ahead write d post ume (which must not be less than 85+) but if not, change your course to something like nutrition and dietetics....its an upcoming course |
Linafloxy:which course? |
Areaboyfriend:now listen very carefully.......its very easy for u to get med nd surg wit dah score, but u must sacrifice a lot of hours to ur books in order to do so....buy lots of past jamb questions...solve dem all as if your very existence depends on it.....and above all pray like dia is no tomorrow |
edward1106:u re very wrong.....2006 isn't the first to experience post utme...it was 2005 and secondly schools neva used your O level to grade / give admission ....my 1st nd only jamb until last year was written in 2005 and I used awaiting result all tru...scored 231....wrote post utme and scored 273 nd was admitted into med lab science...and like I said u people should stop scaring dis kids....last year I wrote jamb so as to fulfil my dream of becoming a doctor...scored 229 in jamb....wrote post utme and scored 79....was admitted into med nd surg on merit....so if I can do it...anybody can..so all d scorer of 206 nid to do ...is to read hard for post utme and pass well.... |
nasyl:its a general problem.....just play jamb addresses d problem....or ur sis have to wait till next year |
sparkleRed:my dear is neva tu low for med n surg...I scored 229 in last year's jamb...but scored 79 in post ume....and was admitted on merit(first list) into med nd surg...so even thou d scorer is opting for med nd surg....all he/she nids tu do is score like 82 nd above in d post utme(which is very very possible) |
tomzee2:don't let anybody deceive you....205 can fetch u admission....cos pume gives u a second chance to rectify u mistakes in jamb...am a witness....scored 229 in jamb... And 79 in pume nd was admitted into med nd surg...de sky is ur limit |
Imanuelle:I scored 229(med n surg) in last year jamb.......was scared i have lost admission that year, but to God be d glory I scored 79 in post ume and was admitted on merit into med n surg....so 209 isn't bye bye to you. Getting admission even in2 med nd surg...all u nid do is read harder to grab a very high score in pume |
Profcamsey:impressive... which school are you in currently? |
08112135086.........Medicine University of ibadan, pls do add me |
akinyeleaa:its highly unlikely/impossible for u 2 get into MBBS with 2 2......even though dey do, u must have an incredibly high post direct entry exam score (very close to 100)......and let's not forget that MBBS is a very competitive course |
silvermania:ur chances are ok,just purchase next year's DE form from jamb office... please read previous pages for more info (I guess sum wia in pg 51 and 52) |
giftforlife9:08112135086 |
ObeyDlaw:lol...your kofa page?...ok sir,I stand to be corrected but d above mentioned sch fee is what is contained in uniben's kofa site |
giftforlife9:aCcp fee for physical sciences is 45k but incase u choose to opt for MLS,accp fee is 65k and sch fee for physical sciences na 46k but if u opt for MLS sch fee na 49500k but like said before, all of these are subjected to change(increment)....GUD LUCK |
Madumere17:....if ur school gives it to you,dia is no p,all u nid do is forward it to uniben and de will definitely contact ur school to ascertain d authencity ...it depend on d faculty/dpt screening officer, some will demand to see it during clearance |
giftforlife9:hmmmm......d cost is subject to change oooo but make I still list d basics: DE form and registration: #7500(depending on ur location I guess) .....uniben Post DE:#3550 (u pay online).....u fit incur oda expenses for processing of the above listed forms which may include internet charges, transport fare to jamb office, photo copying expenses etc....on getting admission u go still nid to pay ur school to forward your transcript to uniben, pay acceptance fee, school fEes .....all dis are subjected to change...hope I was of help |
giftforlife9:okay if you fink dat dia is money in ICH than MLS all you need do is purchase Direct entry form from jamb office(currently its not on sale) and opt for uniben,ICH and submit your credentials and the jamb DE printout to any jamb office close to your vicinity nd then wait to purchase uniben's post D E form, write the exam and hope to score high |
Edoh10:nobody is saying SLT is same wit MLS...just saying. D re somewhat connected as both are connected to d laboratory(ofcos medical laboratory is not d only laboratory we have but in nigeria,I guess dah is. D d basic idea of a laboratory we knw) ,ICH and chem engr closer to SLT abi?...I fit no knw dah one shaa.. As me no sabi SLT curriculum |
giftforlife9:yes boss d do......but y opt for ICH when u are grounded in SLT?...y not go in for medical lab science#justadvising# but if your drm cos na ICH...gud luck |
Samlo88:that's correct sir.....by de time an ophthamologist prescribe a lens that will do more Good than harm to a patient will face malpractice suit due to incompetence(as per his field should be more of eye surgery ) or a mls face malpractice suit by wrong consultation/ interpretation of laboratory investigation(mls job is laboratory procedures to aid diagnose and not interpretation)....or an optometrist who mistakenly killed a patient during eye surgery(surgery is strictly for an ophthamologist abi)..... Only then will people start adhering strictly to dia field of expertise/specialization |
Samlo88:I believe that d issue wia by an ophthalmologist does the job of an optometrist is not the first neither will it be d only time you hear of professionals not sticking to dia scheme of service /specialisation....for instance in the medical laboratories you see pathologists(mbbs specialised in pathology) /resident pathologist(mbbs doing residency in pathology) fighting mls so as to carry out laboratory procedures.....when you visit teaching hospitals, you see resident gynaecologist/gynaecologist performing midwifery....some times u see an optometrist conducting eye surgery or a mls consulting in his/her private clinic, or a pharmacist conducting D and C(abortion)I fink a lil percentage of blame should go to governing bodies of individual health professions(NOA,MLSCN,NMA etc) and a larger percentage of the blame should go to the 'I DON'T GIVE A F**K' attitude of the FEDERAL GOVT in matters concerning the HEALTH sector... Professional SPECIALIZATION in Nigeria is a term we only see in books definitely not in practise. how many times have you heard of malpractice suits(abi FG no d see hw western country dem health sector de?) in Nigeria? ...y FG go even bother themselves nko?...when d get small headache, dem go enter private jet go yankee(I just pray say one day,one go enter one of the hospitals for surgery and NEPA go take lite and d lister no go gree start because diesel finish for it...lol) |
muhdy:go to the nearest neco oFfice and explain to 'em(it will only cost u moni, buh it can b done |
Samlo88:its most likely dat d were not offered admission because people (those admitted) scored higher....have a wonderful wEekend too sir |
Samlo88:gud morning sir...as you know, admission into any department via PUDE or PUTME is regulated by school senate based on d general performances of people who sat for the exam and I don't think dat individual departments have any say in who d schools awards admission to(d senate decides) so the fact that d above mentioned scores didn't fetch any of ur friends admission into mls means that dia are oda people who scored above does scores....and I also fink d prefer to take those with degree rather dan those with diploma(for instance let assume that two people scored 61 but one have a diploma result and d oda a degree result,d will definitely take d person wit degree result) anoda fin u ought to consider is wada if those that have d above mentioned scores are either in uniben's catchment area or among d education least developed states..have a love friday sir |
