DEFECTION: Labour Party Gives Mimiko 21 Days To Resign NewsPoliticsOct 30, 2014 The National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP) has given Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, a 21-day ultimatum to resign from office. According to a statement issued by the party National Publicity Secretary, Ikpe Etokudo, the leadership of the party took the decision after a meeting in Abuja. “The National Working Committee came to the inevitable conclusion that the constitution of the republic and provision of relevant section of the electoral laws must be respected by Dr Olusegun Mimiko and his new party.” The party cited the case of Dr Ajayi Boroffice, who was elected as a Senator on the platform of the party but defected to the other opposition All Progressives Congress (APC). “The National Working Committee (NWC) warned all those concerned to take the path of honour immediately or should expect to defend their deliberate raping of the constitution of the country within the next 21 days in court as well as be ready to face the wrath of workers of Ondo State in particular and the nation in general.” Mimiko was elected into office on the platform of the Labour Party but he recently dumped the party for the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Really not concerned about tribal affiliations per se. Thanks anyway. |
Planning for my wedding in a few weeks and need some dance songs for my reception, not necessarily gospel, but clean and without the usual booty-calling and sexually explicit contents. Suggestions would be welcome. |
Ahh, that's serious. Just when I tot I was gonna beat it! |
Sad. May he RIP. |
Very funny |
Nice n humorous, enjoyed it. Really beats me when ppl complain about reading stuff on NL. If u feel the information is relevant to u, pray read, if not, move your lazy bone to shorter threads. |
Whatever we do or say, it doesn't change the prophesy. Any lasting peace between Israel and Palestine only means the end of the world. Take it or leave it. |
tempem: Stop forming, bro. When did you have Nepa light last in your hood, and if you have, how long does it last? And if at all you're being favoured, those streets where you've seen electric bulbs on ask them, when last did they catch their glimpse of Nepa'ssir, this is not a debate about the availability of power or otherwise, just saying WHEN the power is available, we have a responsibility to manage it. |
Most shops and petty traders are the more guilty of this wastage. Even enlightened folks fail to see the need to switch lights off in the daytime. We shouldn't need to have pre-paid meters to do this. I also think the production of these energy-consuming bulbs be banned in the country or highly taxed to discourage production. |
We leave lights on, electrical gadgets and have no idea on power conservation. We use filament bulbs that consume more with short life spans. Even in broad daylight, you see bright lights blaring, and most of these people don't even pay bills. Can't anything be done by the authorities?.... My 1kobo |
Chinzzy: haylo peepsAnd u just registered yesterday. |
Timijo: Sit down there and be making jest of these kids, you will be surprise when they will grow up, catch up with you and leave you behind. Ishilove: Op, I don't know what you're talking about. One of my closest friends is a guy who I've known for 15yrs now( since secondary school). He lectures in Canada now, but not once has there ever been any awkwardness between us. There is almost nothing we can't tell each other, and never once have we ever had the issues you mentioned. He's a friend and a brother, and our friendship waxes stronger.CANADA, obviously not in regular close physical contact to be considered a friend. More like an e-buddy. |
bennyraz: What role will uchebo play?did u mean Flavour? |
I am an arsenal fan. I don't miss a game. My lady had to start supporting my club, as she didn't want me moody when we lost. Now she knows half the players. We go out sometimes to watch, other times at home. OP if she truly luvs u, she'll let u do what makes u happy. |
Its not so much about the singer @ idnoble, its about the lyrics of the song and the openness of the listener's spirit. Worship is about expression of love to God. @op, any song with meaningful lyrics does it for me, local or foreign. |
adexsimply: Michael Crichton's Timeline comes to mindmy favourite author and book. |
Shyna112: UBA AND UNION BANK SHOULD'NT BE ON THE LIST JOUr post reeks of ignorance and myopia. i don't even know what 2 say so i don't get banned till 2113. |
Withdrawal takes a lot of practice (with your 1faithful partner), but works so well once mastered. Its been a subject so much debate, but i can state that pre-ejaculate cannot get a woman pregnant. |
kingschild123: Please owning a car does not mean disobeying traffic rules and regulationssome people are just plain sad and can't understand sarcasm. SMH |
