Never felt this sad for a business that isn't mine in this state. NEXT really helped by employing hundreds of people directly and indirectly. Also those looting, some might even be patrons that sell their bread on the street.
Where was the police to control the looting?
Where was the fire service?
I hope there is CCTV recording to show what happened.
God help us in this country. |

Lol! I feel your pain, honestly I do. However now I'm going to cause more pain with my statement/question. According to the checklist on my profile, I require a PCC from Ghana, Uk and Nigeria, of which I'm in the process of obtaining that for the latter two; that of Ghana has been more difficult given I have no friends presently in Ghana. However, while searching through this forum on the issue, I discovered where someone mentioned that for Malaysia a PCC isn't needed till after the application is submitted, quoting the information on the CIC website. Comment is found here: https://www.nairaland.com/3999848/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/261#61308238So I decided to check the CIC website for the requirements for Ghana and it states the same thing for Malaysia. Basically, it states that CIC will send me a letter requesting for a police certificate after I send my APR. My dilemma now is, why will the PCC for Ghana be on my profile checklist when on their website it implies that I do not need a PCC before submitting my APR. Will I be able to submit the APR without the Ghana PCC? Will it affect my application in general? Should I wait for a request letter from CIC as the days tick by? Please help elders ednut1: people dont want to research that's the truth. Make i find my square root from this thread. Imagine someone asking me he saw price of wes as 140k on that cost estimate but is seeing $227 on wes website. Asking Which one is correct . I give up

Congrats! You mentioned you're Ghanaian, maybe we could private message as I need help obtaining a police clearance certificate from Ghana, I schooled there. QueenJoeffrey: Ielts It’s ielts victory!! Prior to sitting for ielts, I had read stories about how people got 6.5 in writing and that scared me to death. How I wish I entered the exam hall an ignorant fellow. First sitting, i got all the necessary help from my colleagues at work who had aced this exam earlier. I had prepped like my life depended on it since I so much disliked essay writing back in school. For the record I work 8-8 six days a week but I had to attack this monster with every fiber of my being. I always tried to hurriedly rush home and bury my head deep into my books till midnight. Honestly I don’t think there is any youtube listening and Cambridge practice test I haven’t taken while religiously reading sample essays on ieltsmentor page. I learnt ankasa! (twi) . @Chicyclass came through for me sending me some MOD writing book and I read the book page by page! I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I mention I remember the sentences like a child remembers his favorite rhyme. I sat for the exam for the first time in July Results : LRSW 9 7.5 7.5 6.5 Hmmm 6.5 in writing, as expected cos, I didn’t even read over my essay and I was so much gripped with fear so ... I remarked but it unfortunately returned the same. Instances like these make me wish I knew the future. I’d have saved myself the time, energy and most importantly my funds. Being someone who never threw in the towel so quickly, I registered for the next sitting in 28th September. Time to face this monster again head- on!
I saw posts about MOD being “more generous “ with their 7 than BC but I’m Ghanaian and we only have BC so I wasn’t spoilt with choices like my fellow Nigerians. Just have to return to my “dearest” BC, who haven’t in this case been so generous to its beloved.Spoke to @yemblaze who added me to an ielts WhatsApp group and @stencil also sent me ielt materials . Thank you so much ladies. I’m forever grateful. This time, I had to strategize. I decided to learn extensively for the writing so I started with synonyms of common ielts topics from a youtube page which was suggested by someone here. I also contacted @blissnenye to help me with the writing and she made sure I wrote an essay everyday. “An essay a day keeps ielts failure away” lol. Like I mentioned earlier, this was almost like a punishment being meted out actually it was since I hated writing essays. I’d rather prefer reading those online but this lady, “my punisher” ensured I wrote and insisted on it. She was really bent on seeing me do something I hated. I realised It wasn’t just about the money for her but she really had my interest at heart..She tutored me for a week and told me I was good to go. Thank you my Madam @blissnenye. So I Sat for the next sitting on 28th September and this time I wasn’t even looking forward to a better results COs since I had mixed feelings about the listening test. Results day finally came and I had LRS 9 9 7.5 and writing 6.5. Oo God! Not again! Hmmmm of course it would be writing, this devil keeps tearing its ugly head everywhere! What did I expect? I prepared so well so why 6.5 again.? What at all are they looking for?. I put in a request for remarking that same day results were released without taking my test report form. In mind, they should keep it until they gave me my 7. I prayed fervently for a positive outcome. Then on the fateful day of 31/10/2019 , I received a mail. Behold the change I was waiting for had reflected!!! From 6.5 to 7. I was giddy with excitement. Sleep and I had conveniently become enemies that night . if this is how excited it feels to get the required ielts scores then I have not the least of ideas how you all react when you receive PPR mail. Hope to jump, no dive into the pool and then wait for my ITA in the next draw. |

I understand it's annoying to get the same questions but most serious have researched and scoured the internet for information before coming here. I don't think it will be bad if after searching through the forum and not finding the required information, the person states it here and more experienced people copy and paste the link, if they know precisely where such information is. The truth is that the Nairaland search isn't very effective sometimes. Thanks for your patience. ednut1: if you type them all on google it would be found. Lets encourage research |

Please @yemiciea and @kpnick calm down. We don't need to see pages of argument. yemiciea: Make corrections with sense. If spousal sponsorship was that easy, everyone would jump on that and not wait for spouse to improve their scores.
Don’t send me back to my brother to educate ourselves. What happened to dropping whatever link you want to drop and noting that I might want to see the information in there.
Again I said what I said. |

Thanks for your reply. This might help newbies so pay attention. You have helped me understand the upfront IOM medicals is before ITA so since I don't have it I have to book an appointment (I didn't see any link on their site for booking an appointment so I sent them an email). Also, after reading through page 1, I have seen information on my question about the Work Reference letter, to which someone posted a format in which it was addressed "To Whom it May Concern", however the suggestion was made in 2016 and it didn't have any feedback to know if that it acceptable to IRCC, that's why I asked for clarity. For my question on whether all International Passports are needed, I have concluded that they are. However, I have four International Passports and scanning each page with a stamp, then saving in one PDF file might make the file size too large. I'll still go ahead with this given I am unsure on whether the system will accept this and/or whether it's "overkill" to scan each page (over 30 pages of stamp in all my passports). Finally, I still haven't found anything on obtaining a Ghanaian Police Clearance Certificate from Nigeria. I saw that for North Cyprus and UK, however, it seem as though I'm the first person having this issue. Thanks to all the elders in the house. Abeg no vex for my comments cum questions. Erigo23: Everything you asked has been over answered on page 1 go back and read before the elders para for u. Lemme help with one sha for the love of new month. upfront Medicals is when u do Medicals before ITA. Since you’ve gotten ITA it’s not upfront. Pls make use of the search bar all these ur questions have been answered. |

In addition to this, please do we have to scan each page of our international passport and merge into one PDF file to upload? Please someone should reply. ChidiT: Hello everyone. I am some of the lucky ones to get ITA yesterday, now comes the tedious part of providing all the necessary information and documents in 60 days.
Let's work together towards successfully obtaining every necessary document. As for me, I have the following questions:
1. I have to obtain a police report from Ghana (schooled there) but can't travel there any time soon due to work schedule. Please does anyone know how I can go about this from Nigeria? They provided a site but it's not functional (as expected of government entities).
2. For the "Employment Records", does the Reference letter have to be addressed to IRCC Canada? Can't it just be "To Whom It May Concern"? I ask this because I do not want my organisation to know about my plans yet.
3. "Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple)": Do they need my most recent passport or all my passports?
4. "Proof of *upfront* medical exam": Is this the medicals expected from IOM? Why I ask is because they indicated upfront. Will there be another medicals required in future?
Thanks for your anticipated response.
For those yet to get ITA, I believe this draw was high because a FSW hadn't been done in a month (Skill Trade was drawn two weeks ago). The CRS score will still come down. |
