Like every profession my dear, there are less proficient doctors. You just have to find a good one and stick to them.

I told a doctor i wanted to have a breast exam because i had a lump and he told me they only attend to women in their forties that i cant have cancer. I had to take myself to a lab.
They make u look like you are over reacting.
Yet they blame you for self medicating and waiting till the issue has gone out of hands before coming

This happens almost always. I've examined a couple of women who feel very ashamed and do not trust my intention. But before I start I explain the procedure to them, I get a chaperone and I make small talk with them while examining. This helps a lot and gains the patient trust.
The problem is that many Doctor do not follow guidelines for good patient management. I see it a lot.
So, if you feel molested and wish to pursue it further, that's within your rights as a human being.

I have a toshiba l300 satellite laptop. It goes blank whenever I plug in the charger or when I switch it on with the charger 'in situ'. If the its in safe mood it works fine except you can only do little in safe mode! How can I deal with this?

hey! congrats....u'll do Anatomy( gross anatomy, histology and embryology), Physiology and Biochemistry...and 4 General Studies courses( this is what we did in UNN. for textbooks last anatomy(gross), Indebir Singh(histology), T.W Saddler(embryology), Physiology(Gayton and Hall) and biochemistry(Harpers)

My advice to new med sttdnt: read/study like ur life depends on it, and also pray cos we need God in everythng. And abt wat to read, well read up ur notes, and text books... 'NEVER READ TO PASS EXAMS' Rather READ TO ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE cos wen u knw d stuff, there aint no way ur failn.
For DE, its better to just get a Cambridge A'level...its a sure bet. I mean i did dat and got in with no stress watsoever... Cya

the difference btw a Nigerian uni and d uni in uk is only in comfort, here u do most of the work in a stressful and grotesque environs: only determined mind survive.
The quality of 9ja education is great at least frm ma perspective- am a medical stdnt at unn and wat we're thought is d same as wats being thought in d uk xcept that we're 'practically' deficient.
If its fun u want, stick 2 d uk. Bt for serious hardwork on ur part with eye straining back acheing a little time wasting, then 9ja's ur man.

the problem with ASUU and even 9ja as a whole is in our blood! We can't jst build a perfect Nigeria when everybody is thinking of how to enrich themselves even to the detriment of others,
The govt has developd a kind of resistance to strike especially ASUU's, i mean with the freguency of the strikes and the funny demands, govt should be thnking of reducing the retiremnt age to <=60 and create a chance for younger generation,
We have to understand that ASUU fights 4 its interest only, We might as well drown in our cries,

it can't be compulsory, some people find it hard to pay the tuition already.adding abt 50k to abt 40k would make abt 100k, although its gud to have a laptop in uni, u can always do without it
