The series revolves around Meet Hooda, a spirited young tomboyish girl from Haryana who is the sole breadwinner of her family but also breaks societal rule books of gender roles by serving as a delivery agent. Her father was a police officer who sacrificed his life while in service, due to which Meet takes up all the responsibilities of her house and gives up her ambition of becoming an officer like her father.Her grandmother blames her for the death of her twin brother who died in the womb, subjecting her to emotional abuse her entire life while reminding her that she can never be like a boy.

Meet Hooda meets Meet Ahlawat. Though they initially are at loggerheads, they soon become friends. Ahlawat falls in love with Hooda’s sister Manushi after hearing her sing. In reality, it was Meet who was singing while Manushi was just lip-syncing the song. Meet Ahlawat’s wedding is arranged with Manushi. Ahlawat breaks his friendship with Meet and starts hating her because of a misunderstanding.

On the wedding day, Manushi runs away and marries Kunal leading Meet Hooda to marry Meet Ahlawat. No one’s happy about this especially Meet Ahlawat’s mom, his sister, and he himself. Many arguments and silly fights take place between Meet Hooda and Meet Ahlawat. Though Meet Hooda tries her best to prove herself at every step, Meet Ahlawat is unwilling to accept her as his wife.

Meet Ahlawat regrets his words and starts warming up to her. Meet Hooda takes care of her husband with great care, not leaving his side for a moment. Meet tries to get Manushi to face Ahlawat. However, she instead meets her mother, who makes her promise never to tell her in-laws that Manushi is back at home. Ahlawat throws Meet a surprise birthday party. However, Babita enters the scene and harshly taunts and scolds Meet Hooda for making Ahlawat overexert when he is injured and unwell. Meet Ahlawat stands up for his wife, explaining to his mother that he was the one who threw her a surprise party. He confronts his family members on the way they have treated and perceived Meet H. Finally, Babita understands her son’s point of view and accepts Meet as her daughter-in-law.

Masoom finds out that Manushi is at Meet’s house. She blackmails Meet Hooda, threatening to reveal this information to the rest of the family if she doesn’t divorce her husband. Meet acts aloof with Meet Ahlawat. Meet Ahlawat misses her and demands an answer from her for avoiding him. Later, Meet throws the divorce papers into a bonfire, and tells Masoom that she won’t divorce her husband. She apologises to Meet Ahlawat for not taking care of him without revealing the real reason, and she is forgiven. Meet Ahlawat is drugged, and he confesses his love to Meet Hooda, imagining her to be Manushi. Though Meet is broken by this, she dresses up as Manushi in an attempt to get him out of his drunken state, so that he can attend an important business meeting that he has been working towards for years.



Her plan works, and he is able to attend his meeting and performs well. Meet Ahlawat initially believes that it was Deep who had helped him out, but Deep clarifies and says that it was Meet Hooda who had helped him fulfill his dream. Meet earnestly apologises to his wife, regretful of all of the pain she had to go through and in awe of how much she cares of him despite all of the hatred and negativity around her. He wishes to start a new life with her.

At Meet Hooda’s house, however, Manushi has convinced her mother and grandmother for her and Parth (actually Kunal) to get married by acting like she is pregnant. Masoom brings Babita, Ragini and Meet Hooda to Hooda’s house on the pretext of giving Meet a surprise. In the midst of this, Meet’s grandmother finally accepts her as her granddaughter, finally seeing her for the good person she is and seeing Manushi’s real evil side. Meet Ahlawat comes to the Hooda house worried, revealing that the police had come to the Ahlawat house with the news that the goons that had beat him up were out of jail. He comes so that Meet can go back home under his protection. Masoom stops them from leaving, revealing that Manushi is at home with the hope that Meet leaves his wife. However, Meet takes his wife’s side, citing that if she had taken a decision to keep this secret, then she would have done it only for everyone’s happiness.

Kunal wants to steal Manushi’s jewellery, going as far as pretending to get kidnapped and demanding the jewellery as ransom, but his plans fail. Meet Hooda studies in the middle of the night in the kitchen so as not to disturb anybody. Isha acts strange around the family. It is soon revealed that she is being blackmailed by a few boys, who took photos of her in compromising positions after drugging her. The combination of the above two situations causes Meet Ahlawat to be convinced that Meet Hooda has fallen in love with another man, and decides to support her, even though he is clearly hurt. Meet Hooda finds out about Isha’s situation and goes with her to get the photos deleted and the boys arrested. Meet Ahlawat comes and both of them beat up the boys together. Meet Ahlawat’s misunderstanding is finally cleared.

Manushi finally finds out Kunal’s true nature and intentions, who runs away with her jewellery and she and vows to get back Meet Ahlawat after seeing their lavish lifestyle. Manushi tries to sabotage Meet and Meet’s relationship during the honeymoon, but all her efforts go in vain. Though Meet Ahlawat is initially shaken when he sees Manushi, with Meet’s constant support and trust, he is able to control himself more. Meet and Meet become closer through this trip and their relationship becomes stronger.

He suffers from memory loss and does not remember anything. However, he shows recognition with names like Meet and Sunaina (his wife). He starts to consider Meet Hooda as his friend. A day before leaving from Rajasthan, Meet Ahlawat sees photographs with Bhula Baba in them and recognizes Tej. Tej and Meet Ahlawat reunite. However, back in Chandigarh, Rajvardhan forces Sunaina to remarry as he doesn’t want her to spend her whole life waiting for someone who might not ever come back. By the time Meet tells Rajvardhan about finding Tej, Sunaina’s marriage with Ravi has already happened.

Anubha finds out that Manushi is at the Ahlawat house, and becomes extremely mad, and drags her out of the house. Manushi pretends to attempt suicide by drinking bleach. This allows her to stay for longer as the doctor mentions that she should not be stressed. Manushi attempts to get closer to Meet Ahlawat, and he is shaken and confused.

Gangaa 20 December 2019: When the judge asks her, krishna informs that she wishes to stay with her father. sagar and his family is ecstatic, while ganga ia aghast. she tries to plea that she wishes to talk with her daughter, as she would want to stay with her only. sagar’s lawyer denies that to be granted, as she might influence her decision. the judge sustains the objection.

Ganga pleads to the judge to let her speak to her daughter krishna for sometime, before he gives his decision. the judge denies asaying that kirishna chose to be with her father, out of free will, and hence, she shall live with her father father only. ganga is aghast as she is torn between eyeing krishna and sagar. she tells the judge that he cant do this, as krihsna means everything to her, and she wont be able to do this to her as a mother. the judge asks her to calm down, but she gets berserk, and continues to hastily keep adding that she shall not let krishna be taken away. the judge finally asks her to behave as this is the final warning, while the police restrains her. krishna asks her not to worry, as they shall all be together.

as ammaji tries to take krishna away, she tries to reach out to ganaga, who is meanwhile held in by lady constables, trying to wrench her away from krishna. a frustrated krishna reprimands sagar, that he had said that if she chooses him, then she could have both of them living together, then why isnt she be allowed to be with ganga, and take her with them. all are tensed, as ganga is taken away. sagar and ammaji try and convince her, that soon ganga shall join them. ammaji takes krishna away while sagar eyes ganga dealing with the police.



he apologises and says that he had no other option,m since her ego wont let her come to him, and he had to do this, and they might have to bear this pain for some days, after which they shall be together. he says that he isnt distancing krishna from her, but soon they shall be all living like one big happy family.

Niru is tensed as to whats the result, and just then, she finds madhavi and ammaji welcoming krishna into the house with sagar, while she is tensed. she keeps looking at the door, in search for ganga. ammaji performs the arti, while she is only concerned for ganga. sagar gets tensed at her concerns. ammaji tries to distract her from the delicacies prepared for her.

but she is tensed. they find niru in the balcony and holler for him. ammaji excitedly narrates what happened in the court, justifying it. sagar and madhavi are tensed though, as niru eyes them sadly. ammaji asks if she isnt happy. he stoically goes and stands in front of sagar, asking if he and krishna are happy. they get tensed hearing this. ammaji asks him to stop talking about all this, and instead showers krishna with all the love in the world.



sagar goes aftre her. madhavi and niru remain behind. she asks if he is happy, as for the first time, krishna has come with full possession, and their scattered family is becoming one. he asks if she is actually saying this, and asks her to understand whats ganga going through as a family cant be happy at the cost of the mother’s pain. zoya watcehs this, from the balcony, fuming.

Later, madhavi gets food for krishna, while finds her asleep in sagar;s lap. they place the plate and go out. sagar says that she fell asleep waiting for her mother. he asks her to let krishna rest as today was tiring for her. he asks her to stay with krishna, while he finishes some work. she asks what. he doesnt respond and asks her to wait by her side, while he comes back soon.

As ganga walks back dejectedly to the empty deserted house, containing memories of krishna in every corner, she is apalled and distraught. tears stream down her cheeks, as she collapses on the floor, crying her heart out. she finds krishna’s hand on her shoulders, and turns around and hurriedly hugs her, saying that she knew krishna would come back to her. but she finds that she is hallucinating.

meanwhile, Sagar comes to ganga’s house, but she doesnt open the door, and screams berserk and distraught, at him, from inside, saying that despite everything that he did to her since childhood, she always had a small corner in her heart, that loved him secretively, but today, after what he did, that love had died and taken its last breath, and now she has no more love for him, but only hatred. he is aghast as he hears this from outside, after desperately trying to convince her in vain. ganga is distraught and inconsolably crying.



Sagar continues to holler that their love cant end, while ganga doesnt listen to anything. he leaves frustratedly.

While madhavi and ammaji are preparing a list of what things they can get for krishna, niru comes and says that this isnt right. they have a huge verbal discussion, while niru accuses them of separating a mother from her child. ammaji says that after what she did, ganga rightfully deserved it, and how she doesnt have any regrets, and that krishna shall stay here only now, and not go anywhere, and not to ganga at all. he says that he shall take krishna to ganga. he storms out, while they are shocked.

As sagar comes back, and krishna wakes up, she asks if ganga came. he refuses but says that she shall come soon. she continues to adamantly ask where is ganga and that she shall eat only when ganga comes back, while he continuously tries to feed her. niru asks krishna if she wishes to go to her mother, and when she complies, he takes her hand and begins to walk out. madhavi and sagar try and calm him down.

he shuts them all up, saying that if she wishes to go with ganga, then she should be given that right, and not be lied to, as he wont stand that. krishna asks who is lying to her and why. she is distractedas sagar asks madhavi to stay with krishna, while he wishes to talk to him in private. he begs for a chance, and after much reluctance, niru complies. madhavi takes krishna aside, while sagar gets the chance to talk to him. he tells krishna that he shall tell her everything, after talking to niru. she asks if she wont lie. he complies.



Later, sagar says to niru that he knew he has lied, but had to do it, or else krishna would never have agreed to coming with him. he is oblivious that krishna is right behind listening to him. KRishna asks if he really lied to her. sagar confronts her and is stunned and speechless. he tries to calm her down, while she gets berserk and distraught, and starts fighting with him.

madhavi and ammaji come, and happily talk to her. she says that she wishes to go to ganga, and not stay here. ammaji tries to distract her, but madhavi asks her to have food first. krishna is least fazed by all this. they try to take her away but she continues to run around saying that she doesnt wish to stay here. he asks if she wishes to go to ganga, and she asks whether he shall take her rightaway. he complies, but asks her to hear something first and then decide for herself. but she is adamant on going and refuses to sit. he sits and says that he didnt lie, and that he promised.

he then asks if he told her that he shall get her mother today, and that they shall all live together, and they are so angry at each other, it will take sometime to calm things down, and begs for some time. he tries to point out how much pain and insistence it takes to get someone to accept their apology. he says that her mother shall forgive him too, and despite saying sorry so many times, she is angry but he knows she would listen ultimately. she is still adamant. they all get tensed. he gets tensed and reprimands her for not listening. the ladies get tensed.



they rush to sagar, while krishna makes a face and sits away. madhavi asks sagar to talk to her lovingly, as they dont listen when they are scolded. he takes the plate of food, and then comes to her lovingly. then madhavi takes ammaji away, so that they can talk in private. krishna refuses to eat when he asks her to. she throws tantrums, while he holds his ears and apologises, and says that he should have told everything, but didnt. he starts doing sit-ups, and tries to cheer her up. she finally relents and gives in. she comes and sits by sagar, and asks him to do the same in front of ganga. he wonders if it was that simple. they decide to get her back.

The next morning, zoya is outside sagar’s room, when she overhears krishna talking to sagar about some idea. ganga wakes up from sleep, and rushedly picks up, when krishna calls up. she pretends to be very ill, and starts coughing incoherently, when ganga asks her how is she. krishna continues coughing incessantly, to create the effect. ganga presumes that she must have been sick. She cries and says that she is okay, and then cancels.

ganga is all the more disturbed. krishna tells sagar not to pick up the phone. he complies, when ganga calls back. she then tells sagar that now they shall get ganga back, as she never deserts her in fever. zoya fumes and thinks that she wont let it happen..

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in its Vol. 1, No 11 weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar stated that there is no exemption on biometric verification for all candidates of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Saying that biometric verification will be the only mode of entry for candidates into its examination centres nationwide

The board has instructed that examination officials must adhere strictly to the rules, and that no candidate should be kept waiting if he or she cannot be verified but should be directed to contact JAMB.

“All examination officials, including security agents, are to ensure compliance with all guidelines, rules and regulations on the examination as strict adherence to the guide on compulsory biometric verification of every candidate is required,” the board said.

Sporadic shooting has been reported in the area, as seen in a video now trending on social media, but the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state have pointed accusing fingers at each other.

However, INEC spokesperson in Rivers State, Edwin Enabor, confirmed to PremiumTimes that the commission had cancelled the election in the affected area.

The spokesperson however, said that elections in the area would hold in another date.

According to him, “In Bonny, there was no election at all. The exercise there has been postponed. It will hold on another day.”

“Therefore voting did not hold in the affected registration area (ward).”

“The position of the commission is that election will be conducted separately for that registration area later.”

Meanwhile, the APC Publicity Secretary, Rivers State, Senibo Chris Finebone, has accused the PDP of being behind the violence in the areas.

In a statement sent to Vanguard, he said “PDP THUGS EMBARK ON WAR IN ABONNEMA. The general elections that took place across the country did not happen in Akukutoru Local Government Area due to the massive shooting and general violence perpetrated by thugs and cultists deployed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to disrupt the election in the area.

“Trouble started when the gunmen started heavy shooting in parts of Abonnema from Friday night. Before morning, it became obvious that both INEC ad-hoc personnel, intending voters and election materials were at risk.

“Reports monitored by APC Situation Room revealed that the shooting by PDP thugs moved to other parts of Abonnema making it impossible for any form of voting process to take place.

He also alleged saying, “Chief of staff to Governor Wike, Emeka Woke has hijacked with armed PDP thugs, ballot boxes in his home community of Isiodu, in Emohua LGA.

A 20-year-old undergraduate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Chitere Okoronkwo, pictured above, has been arrested by men of the Imo state police command for allegedly killing her boyfriend, Johnmark Osigwe.
Parading her before newsmen at the command’s headquarters on Tuesday February 12th, the state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, said investigations by the police, showed that Chitere and Johnmark were lovers and after they fell out, she allegedly masterminded his kiling on August 8, 2018, and afterwards fled to South Africa.
“Chitere Okoronkwo, 20, of Umualumaku village in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, was arrested at Ama-Wire Uratta in Owerri, Imo State by SARS operatives on Monday. She was arrested in connection with the murder of one Johnmark Osigwe, 24, at Nkwo-Orji in Owerri on August 16, 2018. It is important to note that the deceased was a boyfriend to the suspect.

“When their relationship got sour and ended, the girl demanded compensation. The deceased, due to persistent threats to life before being assassinated, had paid N1.8m for shop rent and N2m for interior decoration of the shop to the estranged girlfriend. Not done with the threats, she demanded N3m, which the deceased gave through a lawyer. Before the money was finally paid to the lady, he was murdered inside his Mercedes SUV.

“After his death, the lady fled to South Africa. Okoronkwo has confessed that she told a guy that she wanted the victim dead due to their misunderstanding” she said
The police boss said more investigations are currently going on and that the suspect would be charged to court soon.

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), has suspended its two month old strike.

Mr. Usman Dutse, ASUP, National President said this at a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to him, “we have decided to suspend our two month old strike; this decision was taken at the end of our National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

“We shall not hesitate to resume the suspended strike should government fail to review the Memorandum of Action (MoA) and ensure full implementation before end of May 2019.

“This is in view of the progress made in the course of the union’s negotiations with government.

“The NEC of the union, after exhaustive deliberations and in due consultations with the respective congresses across the nation resolved to suspend the current industrial action.

“This is based on the condition that government committed to review the Memorandum of Action to concretise the resolutions and ensure its full implementation by end of May 2019, failing which the union shall resume the action at its discretion.”

Dutse also noted that, the request for a revitalisation fund of N15 billion had been made by the Minister Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu in lieu of the NEEDS assessment.

He said government has equally made a public pronouncement on the issue conveying the government’s approval for the release of the sum as requested.

“It is expected that the funds shall be made available for disbursement to deserving institutions by April 2019.

“Equally, the approval of the NEEDS assessment report shall be pursued with all diligence to ensure a sustained and effective intervention in the infrastructure and other needs of our institutions,” he added.

The union president also said on the issue of salary shortfall, promotion arrears and allowances that N16.7 billion has been released.

According to him, the union was informed of the release of N16.7 billion covering agencies of government, including affected Polytechnics cleared by the Presidential Initiative for Continuous Audit for shortfalls and promotion arrears.


“A circular had also been released to all Rectors conveying increased personnel funding for 2019 and directing the payment of full salaries and allowances in Polytechnics.

“A schedule from the office of the Federal Ministry of Finance containing institutions contained in the phase one of the shortfall refund payments has been released.

“Our union notes that 11 institutions from the sector are cleared to receive funds from the approved tranche. Our union has been reassured that the next phase will contain more institutions.

”The government reported moves to review the instruments for accreditation to include such requirements. The union was informed that NBTE had been directed to cease further regulatory activities in such institutions.

“Document conveying the implementation of this resolution has been released vide letter ref: C/TEB.97/Vol.II/512 of 4th February, 2019 from the NBTE conveying a review of the guidelines for programme accreditation to include the issue of regular payment of salaries and allowances in institutions,” he said.

He said that it was equally resolved that the union be included in the multi stakeholder forum involving proprietors of all public tertiary institutions to accommodate Polytechnics/Monotechnics.

Dutse added that, it was agreed that the documents currently before the Head of Civil Service of the Federation be retrieved and reviewed to address the concerns of the union, and be presented to the board of the NBTE before the end of March, 2019 for approval.
