So many memories..... I read almost all the aforementioned in other people's posts above. May I add my Igbo novels collection: ~Isi Akwu Dara n'ala. ~Ukwa Ruo Oge ya o daa ~Ojaadili Those were my favourite Igbo novels back then, I was always the class Igbo novel reader, lol... wonder if there are current Igbo novels for our new generation. Asusu Igbo na-ana ana, Ndi Igbo ibem. |
botad:Who has koboko? I need to E-flog some sense into this child to reset his brain factory. afonja ko... ipob ni.... mtchewwww..... |
Realist2:My dear I don't know the victims, I only stated my opinion based on the original post. You can still do a follow-up on the story through the source as quoted by the OP and help them. May God replenish you, kind Sir! |
Very funny tale. Though that landlord is mean, imagine calling police for the couple. He could have left them in their act, but warn them to stay off his property after. |
ruggedtimi:My dear in this shIt-hole called Nigeria, that is the best time to travel, except for night armed robbery which many thought had become a thing of the past. May God help the common man in this country. |
That woman is crazy!!!! What if she had suffocated the baby while she was trying to catch her breath even when the baby's head had come out? Bad stunts I must say! Nothing beats lying down while putting your legs up in a squatting position to have a baby or maybe pool birthing. SMH for the woman |
henrixx:Haahaa... e pain you ooo... Chai....easy, ooo |
Ugosample:So what points are you trying to prove |
Not true. But most parents tend to dedicate their time in teaching their firstborns both academically and otherwise, than their other kids , with the belief that the firstborn child will mostly have attitudinal influence over other siblings. |
curvilicious:No matter what you do; you'll be gone someday.. This life oo this life...is real. Ooooooo This life is mysterious Now who can tell me what this life is all about There is bitterness, good and evil Ooooo....this life, wherever it leads... We must follow(follow), Ohhhhh this life.... No matter what you...... |
Almost all the replies are funny...lmfao..hahahaha.......... Thank you all for making me laugh... Airminem, nawaooo |
GreatOlu1:That one too,my friend, can be compromised. Money-sharing(looting) among our politicians has no barricades, 'no permanent friend;no permanent enemy'. |
iRyan:Yes I do, you don't want to know how much knowledge I possess about my root. Or do you? Well the point I was trying to make with my early post was because some people think having a Jewish DNA is a gateway to recognition, we are already doing great forourselves as a people. I rather preferred to be recognized as an Igbo without any "Jewish" attachment . (I love Isreal as a nation, mind you). |
Nawao in this age of numerous infectious diseases everywhere. If I was the mother, I would be furious and mad at the caregiver. I would only let her go after having my baby subjected to series of tests as prescribed by my paediatrician in the event that my baby is cleared medically. Then I would take my child out of that day care center for good, since it may be possible that issues like that are not discussed by the management with their potential employees during their recruitment exercises. For the care giver to have done such! Just negodu! |
yarimo:You didn't havehave to sigh, if you have the answers, do let us know, OK? |
Lalasticlala!! Please help push this to the front page. |
Please dear fellow Nigerians, something has been bothering me since last week, after having listened to and watched the news showing on the different local TV channels and radio stations in the country and most recently, the federal executive council (FEC) meetings presided over by the Acting President Osibanjo. Could someone tell me where our Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun is? Has she gone AWOL? Our country is in deep recession, people are really suffering! Bleeding!! We need to hear consistently from our Able Minister about the situation of things in the country. But we don't!!!!! So please tell me, WHERE IS OUR FINANCE MINISTER ![]() |
ovadozes:Me too! I am a full-bloodied Igbo who knows her roots, not some Jewish whatever! If I hear.... |
DonCortino:Goat! He deserves it. The protest shouldn't be about party but against bad governance.Enough is Enough! |
FlirtyKaren:Thanks dear. |
Mayflowa:Very nice comment you got there. Some spouses are intentionally out to frustrate their partners, they neither want to work on their marriage nor seek for divorce as you said. When I opened the post I thought I would be reading on suggestions on how to cope with the loneliness when those two you mentioned above (mending fences or divorce) become farfetched, but unfortunately was disappointed! The OP should remember that a person's best friend could turn out to become his/her worst enemy someday, so marrying your friend like some people usually suggest, is not a guarantee to a happily ever after married life. Let us know what do to curb this loneliness in marriage not on how to turn around the situation in the event that the options I mentioned earlier are out of it. Can someone please? Anyone? |
lacoach:Egbon, it is "academic excellence". Say no to tribalism, we are one! |
kabrud:Some people are damn so foolish! Imagine a grown up as the baby's mum laying blame on the so-called friend of hers as if she herself eats through her nose! I stopped sucking my tongue while rubbing my navel at the same time when I was in SS3(after my last WAEC paper). She should have let the child be!![]() |
Olisa but why now? What could have made you degenerated to this level? Olisa I knew way back while growing up in the Coal-city was a coolheaded guy! What happened to you? ![]() ![]() |
Drienzia:You got me, hahaha..... If you'd seen how I was so busy reading your post to learn about the cause of the ailment. May God Almighty bring the little boy help and heal him in Jesus Name, amen! |
rawpadgin:Haahaa, nawaaooo!! Lmaof the chair @ the above. Nairaland keeps fuelling a happy mood in me....hahaha |
Howmon:Hahaha, honestly that was the first thought that came to my mind immediately I read the post. Side business, HERE I COME! |
HAH:That your friend must be a liar who likes being associated with celebs due to complex. That's Yul's real age. He got married very early. |
@ Op dear, I can really relate well with you. I was one of the best in my class both in secondary school and in uni. Graduated with a good CPGA, wanted to work for a while to get the financial backup for my masters then(didn't want to bother my parents in paying for my fees after uni). But guess what, non of my plans were working no matter how much I tried to get a good job back then, all the jobs I was getting were paying peanuts, changed tactics in writing job application, sometimes I got invited to a dream job but may pass just one or two stages, at times after rigorous processes I wouldn't be called back, in fact in a particular job selection in which I thought I had landed a job of six figures pay, having gotten my employment letter, the company suddenly became bankrupt after my two weeks of resumption. At some point I started having this strange feeling of something being wrong with me. I shunned marriage proposals from numerous good suitors then, all in a bid to have financial dependence before settling down. I prayed, fasted, lived a decent life as a young lady but I wasn't making any headways. Social media was not helping matters, whenever I logged in , my friends and classmates were always uploading their achievements and lifestyles that I stopped using facebook, etc.,so as to maintain my sanity(honestly I was getting jealous), I kept questioning God. Year in year out, it was the same old story, eventually I met my husband, got married, today I have kids, have got my masters and other professional skills, practising my dream profession. Why am I telling you my history? My years of struggle and depression taught me something,"Never compare yourself to anybody". When it is your turn to shine, so long as you keep your head up, nothing, no one can stop you. All you thought you lost during your years of famine, shall be restored to you in one full swipe, such that in that state, you may be ten times better off than your mates you were comparing yourself with. Acquire skills, see if you can move your mum's business to another dimension as other posters had suggested while you keep writing JAMB if you so much desire paper qualification, but remember, you are in no competition with no one. Keep your head up, socialize freely with people and put God ahead if you are a Christian and do your thing. It's well |
joycesims:Ngu is ashes from burnt dried oil palm fruit fronds. Also better than potash used for igba ncha or food catalyst for different Igbo dishes. A very good alternative to potash especially for those who usually develop stomach ache or frequent stooling after eating meals prepared with potash. |
...99% chances of armed robbery
when I was in SS3(after my last WAEC paper). She should have let the child be!
