The promise of the Messiah was to Abraham's seed (Isaac) before he was born. Staying on the seed, Isaac had Esau and Jacob. God chose Jacob and of Jacob's children He chose Judah. God said the Saviour will come from Abraham's seed but He made the choice of which tribe He will come from. The promise was to Abraham. Jesus need not be of the tribe of Levi to be the Saviour. The promise was to Abraham's seed. God made the choice if Judah one of the seed.

The Levites we're chosen out of the 12 tribes when they acted on God's instruction. God separated them from the other tribes for the purpose of offering sacrifice and attending the spiritual issues of the people and the temple. The requirement for this service was full dedication without having to do any other job. This demanded they should be taken care of as they will be married and have children. God did not want their attention divided and made the other tribes responsible for providing for them and also the upkeep of the temple. The temple needed musician who would use trumpets, utensils for sacrifices just name it and one of the ways of providing this is through tithing. The occupation of the people at the time was more of farming and rearing of animals, blacksmith, Goldsmith etc and this constituted the offering and tithe given. in our time we have different skill sets hence tithing (monetarily) is the only was to pay our tithe for the running of the temple.

The first time the mention of 10% was made was before the law was given. Abraham was successful in a battle and 10% of the spoil he gave to Melshezedech. His seed continued in this line and in Malachi, when they neglected the temple and caring for the priests, having departed from God, He God said they were robbing Him since they refused to care for God,s buainess. We daily engage in the workplace battle for 30days to earn a salary and also do businesses and 10% of our earning for a financing of a cause u believe is it too much to ask?

When Jesus was in Earth, He never condemed tithe. He said the Pharisees gave tithe of the smallest things but never paid attention to the weightier things of the law like taking care of the poor and widow and fatherless. He went further to say that unless our righteousness (which included tithing as this act was counted as righteousness) exceeds that of the Pharisees, we will not see the Kingdom of God.

Every cause on Earth is financed -good or evil. So is the Church, and one of the ways to do this is to give tithe. The New Testament church which started in Acts gave to finance the gospel. People sold houses and lands and properties to do this. Can we truly say we can sell our houses and land to finance the gospel? That would be really excellent.

Jesus did not come to break the law but to fulfil it. Giving to the kingdom business has it's own blessing. Seeking yea first the kingdom will include doing whatever is necessary (tithe, offering, donations etc) to move the kingdom ideas forward.

we may argue that some pastors use the church money for themselves agreed, however we should focus on accountability from them but this we cannot do from the outside. If u belong to a parish, church. Join the house fellowship. know how it is runned. Just get involved and seek leaders to be accountable. Just the same way we should do with political leadership. Don't fight the giving by people, fight for accountability from the leaders.

as much as we love his eloquence and grip on national issues let it be known that alot of Nigerians are more eloquent and also grip of National issues. what worries me is that all the time he spent as Senate President should have been used to make adjustments that will benefit the people. he should have moved for the reduction of the Senate recurring expenditures in salaries and allowances. he knew the subsidy was fraud he never made any move to call the executive to order and move for the impeachment of the president. how may bills did the Senate pass on housing, education budget, security to benefit the people. am not saying Bihari is fantastic but let get real with our politicians. that are there for their gain. he should have called young Nigerians long ago to find out want can be done so the Senate can create a bill around it an pass it. what happens if he is president and the Senate has APC majority do u think he will be able to fulfil his promises. as Senate President he had the opportunity and still has in the next few months to make the changes required

U have only succeeded in showing ur wife d kind of person u are. U feel she is too expensive. U are letting d world know that u bought her off her parents. when we compare sin with sin, most of us will always be counted righteous. But when we measure ourselves with Jesus, then all sins will lead to condemnation. Don't measure urself with your spouse when they fall, measure urself with the standard - Christ and see if u can stand. Forgiveness is a crazy thing. what if she was the one that told u and asked for your forgiveness? The pain can be unbearable and u have every right to walk away. But e fit b u. Most times we say we cannot cheat but if we do/did, wld we be bold enof to tell our partner that we did. So if she comes to you nd says i messed up am sorry. She automatically gives you the power to determine her faith. To confess such error takes a lot of courage and u are left with the choice of putting her up for the world to see her shame or glorify her by act of forgiveness. If she is truly sorry, u have her worship for all ur life. Things may not get to normal immediate, may be not in a year or 2 but loving your spouse who cheats puts u on a level different from others. God will not hold u on account for leaving her, He gave the right afterall, but God will definitely hold u in high esteem for ensuring u did not allow the enemy destroy His great institution. Pain always gives us a new perspective of things.He knows u feel pain and may not get over it in time but if u allow Him, He will work u thru it. Go for counselling, pray, cry ...... but if u truly look at the pain u feel, u begin to understand God's pain when we choose other gods besides Him. Forgiveness no be for mouth, its in deed. U will always remember but making sure u dont rub it into ur partners face time and time again just as God does for us is divine. The cheating spouse can only be comfortable only as long as u show love. He/she will always feel guilty and this feeling can be killing and even make him/her lose hope for life. But constant love even when u know u should not give it helps both of u heal. However, when u choose to take revenge by cheating u have no rights as well. Your partner will never see u different from her/himself u both now are on the same level. U did take the high road. By forgiving u save her soul and the accuser cannot condemn her if u dont. Remember Jesus and the woman caught in adultery.... the question is where are the accusers.. are u one of them or would u like the Master declare even in tears and in deep pain ... neither do i condemn u

What do u mean by modern journalism? A man is invited to come on on air bearing in mind the employement scam going on in the country and was asked to give his organization's website and he is unable to do dat and u claim the journalists capitalised on his what - ignorance or stupidity. You must understand their job (channels) is to ensure that the correct infomation is what the masses are fed with. Sad, sad very sad. But at least we know that Jonathan has confessed that he knows those behind Boko Haram. He has also said he is slow in making decision because his family members have not been hit. Its just a matter of time. I dont how long but am patient and I know that justice will take its course. We will keep doing what we have to do: fighting them with everything we have. Yes over time she cld change but being single and both of u having plans for the future, u shd try to keep urself and watch ur weight.

My candid suggestion is 1st try and geta job and work elswhere b4 u decide to go solo. Just work somewhere first but if u insist on starting a biz, decide and learn under someone : 6months to 1 year and be grounded in the biz. Every biz has its own approach. Also in the course of learning, u will meet ur own contacts who will raise u up along the way.

If u need to acquire a skill, take ur time and get if from the best hands. Dont c 1 year as a long time to learn. The advantage in the long run when u have acquired the necessary know how on ur line of biz or trade will do u so much good.

Do we really understand wot an allowance is?
For me it like giving one pocket money.
From the topic, it is clearly stated that the wife is not working.
Why should I give her pocket money when I personally would rather prefer her working. Lets say her qualification cant take her into the corporate world then I will open a business for her. She has to learn how to make the money. I as a man know my responsibilities in the home, which by the grace of God I will not be found wanting in but until she makes effort to earn her own income, she might never appreaciate the value of my rising early and coming in late to provide for her. What if she wakes up one morning and the Lord has called me home, wot happens to her and the kids.
