Unfortunately, I won't be Flashing the ROM as it is based on 3.18 Kernel which isn't idle for gaming. (Same reason I'm not currently using AEX, they still on 3.18 Kernel and not 4.9.xx). Although they said they'll soon release another ROM with a 4.9.xx Kernel, I'll try that when it gets released.

For now, I'm still chilling in syberiaOS.

i was running a Chinese rom with lots of bloatware (ones that bricked my phone whenever I uninstalled with adb) so I can't be too sure but I think there's more battery juice now and it works smooth, like very smooth besides, the EU rom has the experimental Miui lab thingy and a few other personalization options I didn't notice on my friend's global rom.

Unlocked my RN7 Chinese Variant's bootloader, Flashed TWRP and Magisk(all tonight), Now I'm downloading the Xiaomi EU Rom because I don't trust the other available custom ROMs especially since they're largely unofficial and usually buggy from experience.

I have just started my enjoyment of this beast and it feels good to be back in the rooting games, already itching for some Magisk modules.

I'm waiting for the 2weeks to expire so I can unlock bootloader, what Edge does xaomi.eu rom have over Miui10, I'm torn between xaomi.eu or syberia rom

Gurus what do you think... Miui10. 3.5.0 global rom

U don't need Greenify because MIUI is very aggressive in dozing apps or preventing apps from running in background. I installed Donation version of Greenify because I'm on a custom rom, Omni ROM.
However, if you want to tweak ur phone just apply asap for bootloader unlocking because it does take at least 72hrs b4 Xiaomi allows you to unlock bootloader (check page 77 of this thread), then get Mi unlock app, and adb platform tool on your laptop to flash a TWRP on your phone. Sky is ur limit . Through twrp u can flash custom roms, root with Magisk, update MIUI rom/OTA update etc

Awesome, thanks, I wanted to use miui for a while before flashing a new rom even though I want to unlock boot loader root and flash recovery... My fear was encountering bricking if I do the update with a rooted and bootloader unlocked phone

Reasons to root your phone in 2019. I'm really enjoying these two Magisk modules, energized protection that blocks adverts - - u won't see any advert on your phone and YouTube Vanced - - u can play YouTube videos in background, no adverts, pictures in pictures etc

Boss I just picked up my rn7, I've always been a root user, if for nothing else to use greenify app to silent system apps zapping resources nd also debloating, I want to know if I can do ota update while rooted, or I have to unroot before carrying out update. If so, Is unrooting easy?

If you are a gamer and you love good photos and videos, I will advise those wanting to buy the Redmi note 7 to chill for the 64g or 128g storage, not 32g. Better still, buy from the touts here if you can't wait for jumia to have it. Xiaomi photos have good quality which are a lot of mb. If you install gcam, it even takes more mb for a photo. When you install games like PUBG and PES2019, how many gig will you have left for storage?

The Redmi Note 7 has no dedicated memory card slot, but it supports a memory card if you would forgo one SIM(but you can still get all with a hybrid SIM slot). Band 28? am not sure about that.

Dual 4G support is on alot of Xiaomi devices apart from the entry-level devices.

But the Redmi 7 on the other has a dedicated memory card slot.

Nothing like fake unlocking bros. Your phone may brick if it comes with a shop rom and you proceed to update

I'll be ordering on Monday for the rn7(my first xiaomi) and I'll be needing all the help I can get to unlock bootloader, install recovery, root, nd port roms boss... First question. Do I hv to send xiaomi any mail requesting permission to unlock bootloader or I'll just wait 15days after getting device before unlocking?

In terms of camera, they are just about on the same level (average) tbh and the choice of OS is personal in my opinion, Android one is minimal is design and subtle which I personally like and you get two years of update which means Android Q would be available for this device..

Cons: slightly dated processor and GPU.
Not so good camera

I love a good camera, Pardon my questions boss, do you think redmi 7 is a better option to the MI a2 lite in terms of battery and camera, I don't care much for processor. And is muiu better than android one in your opinion. Will there be updates like that of Android one program.
