To answer your question: Yes you are treated poorly if your accent isn't understandable. Also just because you did English back home don't mean jack here. So loosen up and mingle with the people you work it. Maybe you will learn a few things from them. You need a good accent to get ahead. Let's not even kid ourselves with that. It isn't a fair world out there so do what you gotta do! |
