This OP makes sense die! grin

I wish I were in Nigeria, I wouldn't have hesitated to be your host in my palatial mansion located somewhere within the cosy confines of highbrow Ajegunle city. Anyone who chooses to vist Nigeria and doesn't go for a grand tour of Ajegunle city has completely missed a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the other side of Nigeria IMHO.
LOL!@ the sarcasm.

No shame!
TravelRe: Dry Travel Section! by chika98: 3:45pm On Dec 27, 2011
Yup! The travel section used to be one of my favorite places to read up on. People talking about their recent travels and much more. These days it seems folks only pop 'round for "visa" advice. Anyway a lot of sensible people have moved on from Nairaland to that contributes to it as well.
CultureRe: What Are The Most Important Things To Know About Nigerians? by chika98: 3:38pm On Dec 27, 2011
The term "Nigeria " to most Nigerians don't mean anything. There's little to no unity. People pledge allegiance to their various tribes first before they acknowledge the country "Nigeria".

I was rather disappointed with the last 2 mission impossible and this film is back on track as the best. The film has a feel of the '007' franchise with a twist.

With the amount of designation and the bad guy to chase. This is old fashion action film which is back on track of the franchise.^^ grin grin wink

Yup I completely agree. It was very entertaining.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

This is the 4th in the series and for me it is the second best one after the first one. This franchise needs to get back to what worked in the first one and with Ghost Protocol they are almost there, the key ingredient of MI apart from action pieces has always been the complex plot where you had to keep track of the double crosses.
In this movie the action pieces are awesome, the scene with Cruise jumping from that Dubai hotel was off the hook, but for me more important was the fact that it had a credible plot and
how HOT was that girl? Hubba hubba!
I give this a satisfying 8/10

Now to watch Sherlock Holmes hopefully!
That girl is Paula Patton Robin Thicke's wife. Yes, she's a hottie but she totally blew me away in this movie with her hotness. Da.mn

@chika98

i have a feeling that 2012 fashion trends will see a lot people embracing their colourful sides without any limits like if the color of the outfit is age appropriate,or whether it suits your complexion or not, etc.
And what better place to try out your color blocking skills.

if you take a look at the other set with the pink and black ensemble that looks like a romper, you'll see the colour block sandals have no colours to match the outfit.
so. . .
Okay then like you said seeing it on you etc will make a difference. Keep em coming

You think the humans beings on Earth that go online a psychos? No be people like you, me and steve that are online?

I can speak for myself, I am very hot and any woman will desire me. I pretty sure steve is a good looking man too, but you will never know unless you at least get some initial contact.

This is the world of technology. You can engage remotely (Instant messager, skype, bb etc), so what is the harm in chatting on the phone or camera?

Abegi! Start initiating. Both of you put your emails on your profile.

TravelRe: What They Dont Tell You About America. From Someone Living In America. by chika98: 9:10pm On Dec 18, 2011
cicero:
Most of these 'America is not what you think it is thing' come from people who are finding it difficult to make a living or discipline themselves to live in America. Over the years I have only seen very few people living in America with such complaints. The majority I know are living in America and loving it.
Tell them! They're just finding it hard to assimilate into their new environment. They should move back to Nigeria then

One can tell when a man/women is desperate. Beware before you end up in the wrong hands. cool
Christianity EtcRe: Slaps Giving! By Bishop David Oyedepo by chika98: 11:22pm On Dec 17, 2011
"FYI

That was a spiritual slap.

The Almighty MOG strategically transmitted multitudes of molecules energized with his spiritual powers into the poor girl child's brain.

In a few hours, the witches that possessed the girl child will become dazed and she will be saved from the hands of "the foul devil"

She should be thankful for that dirty slap.

Nigerians. . . We are our own problem!!!"

Listen anyone who slaps me in the name of God or even Amadiohia will go to heaven and meet Jesus himself there because
I will freaking slap the living hell outta them right back. You don't f-ing slap me! Shior!
Nairaland GeneralRe: How Can We Overcome Feelings Of Rejection? by chika98: 4:19pm On Dec 14, 2011
iice:
Connect your logic with your emotions.
Aptly put! Then again how many people are logical or rather see things from a logical point of view when the heart feels something so strong?

They say time heals all wounds BUT one has to have a catharsis and make an effort to move on. Often times we're a victim of our own mind. If someone rejects you then move on or at least make an effort to. Someday someone who really fancies you will come around. It may take a while but it will happen.
Whilst you're looking out for someone else. . Engage in other activities. Pick up a hobby and get to know who you really are and what you're truly looking for. A strong sense of self plus confidence goes a long way.

Music/RadioRe: Wizkid's Pakurumo Video With Funke Akindele: Thoughts? by chika98: 4:03am On Dec 13, 2011
Mrs, Chima:
The women in the tabloid and TV doesn't represent American women because every "American citizens" aren't American born and skinny sells in hollywood. That's why skinny fad is popular in California and New York because many agents, directors, business owners, and entertainment artists demand skinny girls hence diet regime in every square mile of America.

Those American girls who are healthy doesn't get the highlight because they aren't a size 2 and they even looks much better than those celebrities on TV. Many of those celebrities are AIRBRUSHED and RETOUCHED.

There are many of before and after photos of celebrities and people are shocked that these celebrities looks different without makeup.

Skinny/Anorexia is what sells and it is unfortunate.
We're basically saying the same thing. smiley
Music/RadioRe: Wizkid's Pakurumo Video With Funke Akindele: Thoughts? by chika98: 1:23am On Dec 13, 2011
kokoye:
Another result of 'slave / poverty' mentality.

Who made 'skinny' the 'perfection'  . . .no be oyinbo?
You know the irony of the above? The way Americans are so up in arms about being skinny
hence the skinny actresses, pop stars etc one would think that everyone here is super fit
Do you know that 2/3rd of Americans are overweight? The average woman here is a size 12.

OP: The video is wonderful; Funke makes Yoruba sound really nice. Now who wants to teach me? grin
