Happened to me too. Bought cat pay when someone called it out here, when catpay mooned decided to go check and saw my trust wallet was swiped. I assumed it was because I was a novice.

That happened to me here too, two times in one night!
When I messaged trust wallet, they told me "one of your colleague there scammed you." I was in shock for days cause I thought that Crypto was too gigantic a market for Nairaland scammers to capitalize. Boy was I wrong.

As I was reporting it here I experienced the person enter my wallet to clear the transaction history on pancake swap. Very painful experience.

they either guessed your seed paraphrase,your device was infected with malware, capable of recording and transmitting your keystrokes, your camera, your saved passwords and bypassing/altering your authentication protocols or you logged in an infected WiFi signal.

Or there are some crypto that can become a gateway in your wallet... I don't know..
We are missing something, there is something unsafe about that trust wallet. I think we would find out in time.

How do these things happen

When I say they stole from my trust wallet twice (two different wallets). I can not emphasize how sure I am enough.
I stay alone and did not download anything.

All this pi miners self. I thought they said it won’t be listed on exchange and that it will kill BTC some exchanges listed it now (either fake or genuine) their hope is alive again. Get this straight, without being listed on an exchange, consider it practically useless. If it is eventually being traded on any exchange, it must die first (I mean there will be a huge sell-off first). Now tell me how different is it from crypto if it tows that line?

It ll be bloody and there must be a burn mechanism.

Let me tell you what I meant out of 20 or 21 people in my circle, sincerely speaking only one person know about crypto . So 20 or 19 of them knows nothing about crypto. Because of that, they hardly mine and they are doing it just because they are just being reminded of it. Even you knows what I am saying. Thank you for pointing that out, now my head is swelling. I really believe that information is power and I do not take this place for granted. I was told to ''choose to be kind and you will be right all the time'' I do not like to win arguments, I like to have a free mind when I am done.

The person who has made my life miserable with the mining of PI has never spent a kobo on crypto; this person knows everything about PI and what is expected. This is why we banter all the time. As history will have it though. I did not invite anyone to PI, like I said, I was laughing. I invited my other self, if you know what I mean.

Regarding your view on crypto-awareness, you are correct on the experiences you have. I have experienced it too; however, in my case, they know about crypto, they do not want to invest their money and lose it.

The actual statistics for crypto adaptation in Nigeria according to Kucoin and Coin Bureau is over 1/3 of the working population. This is actual crypto utilization ooo. = 5 transactions of up to a total of 1,000 USD a month of only BTC.

Now, imagine the actual crypto awareness.

You are in assumption. People understand very well how PI works. Only thing is, most people think it is a knockoff of BTC. You can say most people are following, do not believe but do not want to lose the opportunity . How can you just say they don't understand the only thing that can provide them financial freedom without taking a kobo. Don't forget the consistent update that PI provides.

It doesn't matter if they salivate lol. Exchanges are only part of the eco system so it won't really affect pi compared to how other coins are bieng manipulated by exchanges . Alot of people locked their coins including me. The idea here is to see pi as an actual currency so exchanges don't really matter. That's why there is no initial coin offering.

What's the essence of exchanging my Pi to fiat, when i can actually use it for exchange of comodities and services . Everyone should have it in their wallets just likee actual money. That's one of the fundermental design of pi.

Go through your pi browser under Blockchain, you will discover that out of 1.4 billion coins migrated so far only about 300m is accessible (not locked). The rest are locked. Most people who mining pi never understood what it meant to lock pi. So without the proper knowledge many locked 100% of their pi for 3 , 4 or even 5 years. Now after the migrating their pi to mainnet they noticed they have little or no available balance in their wallet.
That is why you rarely see people selling it out frequently and any how, not that they don't want to sell , but they discovered that they already locked and can't be reversed at the moment. So with this, the demand will be high at the moment.

I know, I started mining PI because I have a crazy friend who would kill me with wahala if I don't and he sees when I am not mining so we are consistently bantering about how we won't carry each other in our Lambo when e happen.

Anyway, I am not in need of the money if it involves my KYC. I like watching , after-all ,I am still Mining at a rate that most people wont and for a long time (3 years.)

hmm you underestimate if you think I do not have PI. I just laughed at the miners as they mined with all their hearts without believing in crypto.

I must confess that I did not believe in them. In fact, when I was asked to KYC I decline and signed to continue mining for another 3 years at a fixed rate.
