I think courtship should last as long as it truly takes the couples to know each other very well. The high rate of divorce happens to be, as a result of inadequate courtship. Why will u divorce him, for his faults which you know before jumping the broom. Yea i know, the BF/GF Thing? Its usually most atimes sexually oriented or just to be on par with our peers. Hence, forgetting the essence of such relationships. Proper courtship, must really help in the short run, cos in the long run people may change-in the short run you have time to learn other things about your spouse. |
Must we go about screaming the gospel about in the streets inorder that we will not be complacent? The shoutings were done when the Tvs, radios, tracts, etc, weren't available. But today, the best way of being a christian is by showing real christian love to our neighbours: other things follow this trend. |
Everybody is screaming bloody murder at what Siasia said, its not like he said that Abacha should be made president of Nigeria. Yaks failure to score that goal, could be attributed to anything, but my annoyance was how ordinary he took the matter, as if it was nothing to sweat about. With passion and effort he could do better. If us Nigerians are this vehement about our leaders, who would be complaining. Brothers, don't pop a vessel please: its just a game-to be enjoyed, not some violent fencing ground. Kaita shouldn't had fought; but he did. Nani of Man U, used to do that. I have never heard this kinda criticism directed at him, we rather fondly tell "how hot-headed he is". Guys chill, all we need are motivated, passion driven players, which are currently not there. On a more serious note, i think Nigeria will be a better place if we protest this loudly against bad leaders;the greatness or carelessness of a player does_for Nigeria |
English can die in Nigeria for all i care. We should worry about the deplorable state of our native tongues. Billions of people speak English, hence, it will make little or no difference to the British if it dies here, but we are going to be so sorry if ours die. On the other hand, whatever language you speak-be good at it! |
Ybutterfly, here u are making and unmaking beds with Alj harem, didn't our former president tell u what, peepz of his ilk did to him, but then u know nothing about Nigeria history, since u wrote in all whole-hearted ignorance that: Igbos fought with hausas. The igbos fought with Nigeria, as they were trying to secede, but then, it aint shocking u don't know it, your friends are true definitions of you, and history class was an abomination unto u. Nigerian funds was spent fighting the Igbos, who inspite of everything came out more sassy than ever. That bed your making would soon make for uneasy laying, but wait; since when did you guys start seeking out mercenaries? Bad habits die hard i think. I heard suya helps with the nightmares, cos this union wil be one hell of a nightmare for YOU |
Ybutterfly:aint u glad that people bother to insult "yoruba" peeps, how many other tribes except for the teeming igbos is been noticed. The sooner u get over urself the better, xbutterfly |
1) E tere ugba, e tere ose, mmiri bu isi ofe: no matter what, we should still consider the basics. 2) Nwata n'ata akara n'ata ego ya: whatever u do, is either to ur detriment or your own good 3) Onye a na a gbara ama o na e gori, onye a na-ebo ebubo, e kwetego: do not plans without the consent person you making the plans for. 4) O chu nwa okuko wee ada nwa okuko nwe mbombo oso: trouble makers, always end up in trouble themselves 5) O ji ihe nwata welie aka elu, aka gbu nwe ya mgbu o wetuo ya: whoever is holding back someone's success, soon, must tire |

Just so you'll know: we don't like it mixed! U have every reason to be ashamed, what? With ur ancestry one could so cry for shame |
its good to know that this matter is also of constant worry to other Igbos. The reason for this may be due to an inferior complex igbos-in general all Negroes have ingrained in them as a result of slavery, then colonisation once u know u have a problem, then its half solved. For the renegade Igbos to have a change of mind: their should cultural pride-let all the igbos (Negroes) start thinking the best of ourselves no matter whatever the likes of CNN, Times, Vogue, Rolling stone, etc, writes. |
Freiburger:wateva ghettochyk sounds like is anything but primitive. What gives the you german right to call ours a primitive nation. Save us ur useless germanic persuaded attitude. Why must we ever originate from some people: its high time West Africans stop this useless occupation with non-existent origins. Ts embarrassing, irritating and down right idiotic-can't other people originate from us. I love Ethiopians, but we aint just from there-husai! |
I feel that-especially the Americans-that eventhough their fore-fathers were slaves; they helped in building America-made it what it is today (talk about unpaid slave labour)-so inspite of everything they should be proud of their fore-fathers who helped build the USA, eventhough its mostly through:sweat, tears and blood. Truly, those descendants have a history most countries can't boast of. |
Sweet Fanny Adams! The Igbos are a tribe far different from the Jews. Okay, we have similar traditions-so what?! They are rather the lost tribe of the Igbos. Negro(i despise that nomenclature-do i have a choice?) is the oldest race there is. Hence, every other race sprung thence. So, the Hebrews may have sprung from the Igbos, not otherwise. It doesn't help our already corrupted mentality, that we are a 'lost tribe' of the Jews(caucasians), the nerves! |

some-but not all- igbos and yorubas have marked differences. Funke Akindele the actress looks very yoruba inspite of her beauty. Genevive Nnaji looks anything but yoruba or Hausa. Even if we're same, there's still bound to be differences, Its not like every child born of same mother looks alike. Both groups should be glad that they are grouped with our boko harmic, waring brothers |

@rockers, are u off ur rockers; accent is the ish here not the language. There accent rocks. FYI. if CNN decides that Nigeria accent rocks, then it means that every language in Nigeria, has an accent that rocks That CNN picked Nigeria 5th, doesnt we can't be the first |
@faakay, ur post was damn chauvinistic. @Tonsiville u sound down right common. Only the ekiti gal, made a sensible contribution Divorce just happenz wen couples become 2 'diverse' |

i don't know if any other tribe does that, but the fact that Abraham, Jacob, and the like did it, doesn't make it any *chic-er* than it is, i dread to think of the fate of a white cloth in that affair |
what kind of silly going-on is that? All this bomb business started in Nigeria, coz 'some people'decided to make it their business |
Beyonce, being painted black sounds like something out of a 1940's-or the like-American movie magazine. Why ever she allowed that, leaves much for speculation |
