Education › Re: DAAD Scholarships 2018-2019 (postgraduate Scholarships To Study In Germany) by chikeuz(m): 8:22am On Mar 05, 2018
Thanks for the response. I am glad it was not outrightly rejected at least. Hopefully this week we will be informed.
futureenergy:
It means the DAAD selection committee(s) have sat and drawn up list of selected candidates for funding. Not long after that, applicants would be notified if they are successful or not. That status doesn't guarantee funding.

I applied for a doctoral scholarship.

Are you for MSc or PhD?

If you status changes to selection made, what does it mean
futureenergy:
For this particular scholarship, the applicants would know the outcomes before the second week of March.

I am presently waiting for funding, which will come towards the ending of September. My enrollment date is up until the 17th of November at TUM. I recently asked TUM for an extension but they are yet to reply.

Will it still be possible for me to apply for the German visa late September given the fact that I will have funding and my enrollment date is still at least 6 weeks even from the first of October?

Culture › Re: Prostration Among The Yoruba And The Israelites by chikeuz(m): 9:11am On Nov 01, 2011
The culture of prostration is something of significance to people that put it to use. Inspite of this, it doesn't make it worth emulating, by those who has nothing with it. That Arabians, Chinese, Vatican, and the like practice it, doesn't make it any better or worse.

Mikel i think. Osaze is just fair, that aint handsome.
Since when did appreciating a man's good looks turned into man-loving? Typical closeted les*bian/ga*y mentality. Now i know really that when dry bones are mentioned, the old woman, Guys/gals just look inside of you, and know what you're about. Saying a guy is handsome doesn't make you ga/yer than you are already. Capisce?
FYI. Gals weren't asked cos Naija gals don't normally watch sports, so they won't know(eventhough most guys limit theirs to soccer).

I don't really know what the world is turning into: girls are getting very fascinated with ga/y guys. They even wanna date them, knowing fully well.
Culture › Re: I’m Sure, Igbo Are Descendants Of The Jews -noam Katz, Israeli Envoy by chikeuz(m): 5:25am On Oct 30, 2011
Why is not the other round? The Jews claiming kin with us? During the trans-atlantic slave trade, and utter racism in the U.S-there were Jews in the USA who hated "Blacks" with passion, calling them ductlas, and the like. Even if there is any link, don't you they descended from us? Or are we so inferior that claiming kin with them makes us superior?
Biko nu, o yi akwa asa ahu, mara onwe ya.

Bunnatex:
The origin of Igbo can be said to be originated from the jews because some of our traditional cultures are practiced simultaneously by the Jews. So it can be said that Igbos are Jews that migrated.
What have you been smoking? The Jews are rather Igbos that migrated. Where is your tribal and racial pride? That is, if you have got any

I didn't want to comment on this post again, but peoples' self-righteousness is so churning my stomach. If you had wanted to be judgemental-be a judge ur skills will be put to good use in a law court, and take your righteousness to a church or elsewhere. HYPOCRITES!

Romance › Re: Whats Your Take On Casual Relationships? by chikeuz(m): 9:04am On Oct 27, 2011
I think before anything: the both em should define the relationship in very few words, so that nobody is led on without his[her] consent-this is as to avoid hard feelings at the end.
Relationships shouldn't always be sex oriented. You may like a girl not because of the way her tits jiggles when she walks, but, coz she makes you laugh; same could be said of a gal, who may not like a guy coz his d/ick makes the movement, but because she feels secure in his presence, inspite of this, they may still have a person who likes em for all those things.
For better understanding-watch FRIENDS-a soap opera
Crime › Re: Man Impregnates His 13-year-old Niece, Kept Under His Care by chikeuz(m):
The man's actions were premeditated: he brought his niece to town just to use her as a sex object. His actions show the degree of his depravity-a married father at that!
Whatever punishment meted out to him, is very deserving. His wife also should decide how much of the shame she can take.
Culture › Re: What Is The Significance Of The Yoruba Tribal Marks by chikeuz(m): 4:34pm On Oct 25, 2011
If we bother to tell ourselves the truth- "tribal marks aint that chic". Whatever reason it is meant for is out-moded.
It is a culture that would have made me renounce my tribe if they had made me an effing victim.
Tattooes can be removed; tribal marks cannot. Not only whites get tattooes; blacks do too. It aint their culture anymore than its ours. Tattoo is a matter of choice; tribal marks; rarely, are.
F.Y.I. Igbos in the past, circumcised cos of sanitary and purification purposes-a good tradition. Now get over yourself.

Culture › Re: Nigeria's diversity : An asset or a liability by chikeuz(m): 4:50pm On Oct 24, 2011
exu:
I'm not sure that America is the best example of ethnic diversity, however:

The different ethnicities in America were allowed to fuse together naturally, at their own pace.  Nigeria is an artificial construct with people forced together by an ignorant and self serving power; 'Nigerians' were united in their distrust of the British, rather than their love for one another, once the British left what was lefthuh

The different communities in the America, have a lot in common for the most part (with the exception of African-Americans), They are all descendants of immigrants or immigrants themselves, who left their homelands to seek a better life. They sought to free themselves of the oppression that existed in the 'Old world'. The emphasis is/was on economic development and freedom of religion.

There is also the fact that for the most part most of the US population is of European stock with a common Christian based ethic, if not religion, Nigeria is far more diverse.
Its so true that in the presence of foreign powers, we were united-but that begs the question-even without being diverse, we would still have being united against the foreign powers.
So far our diversity has been a liability. The "asset" part, if their is there's any, is lost in the dark recesses of its liabilities. I dare anyone to say otherwise.

yeah its the other way round he wants me to have his Bottom, am going to call my fiancee later today that am resigning , will ask her to come over so i can give her the full gistsetting up is out of it, don't want to get too involved, it might back fire you know .
In as much as it sounds savvy to run away-will you keep running all your life-hold your ground and fight! In retrospect, your fiancee needs to know and other people too.
Even if you run at the end, still fight, and earn your respect
Romance › Re: My Boss Want Me To Do Him: And Am Not Gay. by chikeuz(m): 7:12am On Oct 24, 2011
You will be fool if you leave that job, and a bigger fool if you sleep with him. Bottom line, he can't violate you, or can he? You have already told him that you don't do guys, even so, not him. So, now you're guilt free if you make the office hot for him
As you have been told, save all the evidences, tell your fiancee if you wish. Then deal with the boss. If i were you, his seat will soonest, be mine. Don't be rude or anything. Just be coolly indifferent, and make him wonder what's on your mind. It will give him less time to bother about what you have behind your Versaces (whichever).
