This was the purpose of GEJ's visit to Lagos on Thursday, to organize violence prone idio.ts to disrupt what would have been a peaceful process. Anyway, his era of impunity is coming to an end.

Forum GamesRe: Is This Cat Going Up Or Down? by ChildofChukwu(m): 9:34am On Apr 09, 2015
Nuezha:
The cat is climbing up.

PROOF:
You don't need to be an engineer to understand how a staircase is built:

The tread of the stairway is usually protruded outward beyond the vertical riser by 1 inch or treated specially against chipping off as it is here.

Also, the wall tile is usually placed vertically at the tip of the tread and the cat is facing it.

Look closely at the cat's forelimb, it is folded and raised, if it was coming down it would be stretched and dropped.

Finally, the angle between the landing and the flight that appeared on the picture is less than 180 degrees. Ideally, it should be more if it was coming down.
I disagree, going by the design, it's going down.
Forum GamesRe: Is This Cat Going Up Or Down? by ChildofChukwu(m): 9:32am On Apr 09, 2015
Judging by the slabs on stairs (which are usually, if not most definitely, installed flat on the surface) the picture was taking from down not up, therefore; the pussyCat lipsrsealed is coming down.

Tricky though! cheesy

RomanceRe: Traditional + Court + Religious Marriage, Which Is Supreme? by ChildofChukwu(op): 9:32am On Nov 21, 2014
NairaMode:
The court is supreme and this is because it is the law of the land which religion is not against. The law guides every union between man and woman in the society and not religion.

The religion comes second because it represents your faith and so is required.

The traditional comes third because it is simply cultural and in Nigeria, culture seems to be fast eroding and they are not held in high esteem because of modernization amongst many others.

The law (court marriage) is supreme anywhere. No one (society) recognizes your union without some form of a government document.

Hope this helps?
I appreciate your input. But no matter how "civilized" (or westernized) we become, we're still Nigerians. I personally don't see the need for multiple weddings, but the twist is that most families will not recognize other forms of marriage to their daughter (for instance) if the traditional rites have not been performed.

Suppose I can only afford one wedding, which is most important, the church's, the civil society's or my in-law's blessings?
RomanceTraditional + Court + Religious Marriage, Which Is Supreme? by ChildofChukwu(op): 1:41am On Nov 21, 2014
Most couples I've met either had more than one form of wedding or all three mentioned above. Considering the high cost of planning and executing a marriage ceremony these days angry (especially in the eastern part of Nigeria cheesy), I don't see the need for multiple weddings all in the name of "fulfilling all righteousness".

As Africans, I believe our most recognized form of wedding is the traditional, so why do most nigerian couples have a need for all three (or at least two) forms of wedding? Are we being copy cats by "supplementing" (or complementing) our traditional wedding with other forms of wedding (which are basically the white man's "traditional" wedding)?

What do you think?
RomanceRe: My Man Has Two Cars, I Trek Around, Isn't This Selfisness? by ChildofChukwu(m): 7:07am On Nov 08, 2014
Define "my man". Is he your boyfriend, fiancé, or your husband? I think that matters. How long have you been together, etc. it all depends on how he sees you and the kind of relationship you have.

But all said and done, pls aim at buying your own. I think thats your best shot. Besides trekking is "healthy" wink
