Politics / Is Election In Anambra More Of Party Than The Personality Of The Candidate? by chily11: 8:53am On Nov 08, 2021 |
Do you think that if Soludo was running under another party say PDP or APC, he could've amassed this number of votes so far? Was the votes as a result of his party affiliation or good personality based on his presented agenda for the state if elected? Please give unbiased opinion only |

Politics / Re: Get Vaccinated Or Be Barred From Office, Osun Tells Civil Servants by chily11: 12:12pm On Sep 20, 2021 |
Lemme understand this clearly... you force people to get vaccinated over a dose that was donated by European countries but these countries will not accept the vaccination if it's not done by them because they don't believe in the potency of your system. If the western world decides to continue with their experimental vaccines, it's left for the leaders to address this issue in a global stage and not enforce it like dullards. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Education / Uniben Students Currently Protesting The Hike In Tuition Fees By The School. by chily11: 9:25am On Sep 14, 2021 |
The freshmen are expected to pay up-to 89900 before Friday or they risk losing their admission. Old student were not left out as they were expected to pay 61,400 to 65,400 (additional 20,000) or risk losing their studentship. It's worth noting that the school just resumed four weeks ago and this deadline already placed. The University management refused to dialogue with the student representatives and had them chased away by the security personnels. After much pressure, the VC Lilian Imuetinyan Salami told the students that "Education is a privilege and nobody is forced to go to school so if you can't afford it, go learn trade." 1 Like 1 Share

Crime / Monsurat Ojuade, 18, Murdered In Cold Blood In Her Compound By The Police by chily11: 10:26am On Sep 12, 2021 |
I Was awakened at about 6:30 a.m. by a phone call by Pastor Yomi Adesanya. I had retired to bed so late last night that I had initially ignored the first call. But I had to pick his call on second attempt. It was then he pleaded with me to rush down to Mogaji Street, Ijesha, Sueulere, Lagos where a young lady named Monsurat Ojuade was murdered in cold blood late last night, Friday, 10th September, 2021 by men suspected to be from Ijesha Police station, Surulere, Lagos On getting to the scene of the incident at No. 53, Mogaji Street, Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos, I had witnessed blood in front of the compound as if a cow had been slaughtered there. Amid uncontrollable tears from the victim's elder sister, Olaide Ojuade, she narrated to me what transpired the fateful night. She said that at about 11 pm last night, Friday, 10th September, 2021, she and the deceased were about to close shop when they suddenly noticed a stampede. They quickly ran to their compound which is just next to their shop. They were running and screaming at the same time. On getting to their compound, they both fell down as they were running together holding hands. She narrated that their screaming attracted their mother Mrs Adepeju Olusola Ojuade who was doing some laundry at the time. Their mother had quickly dashed to the gate to barricade it from the pursuing police men. At this point, their mother went to the gate to barricade the gate. At this point they had not even realised that the persons pursuing them were police men. While their mother struggled with the police, she heard one of the policemen shout, "I WILL SHOOT" and almost simultaneously, a gun shot rang out and hit her sister who had already stood up from where they had fallen. Immediately after the callous shooting of this innocent girl, the killer police man turned around and walked away leaving the victim to bleed to death. This is a murder too many. Amid tears and pains, the father of the victim Mr. Nurudeen Ojuade said that he was inside when he heard screaming only to rush out of the apartment to see his daughter in the pool of her own blood. According to him, the victim sod to him "Daddy, please, carry me". He immediately rushed her to the hospital where she was later confirmed dead. The youths of the area have been restive since last night. They had demanded the body of the victim to take same to Ijesha Police station and burn down the station. I have pleaded with them not to resort to self help as two wrongs cannot make a right. Pastor Yomi Adesanya, a former CDA Chairman of the area had also been pleading and asking the restive youths not to resort to violence. I pray they heed our wise counsel as the atmosphere is highly charged there at the moment. The police have not demonstrated any empathy. Neighbours had to contribute money for the deposit of the corpse at the morgue. They family has been abandoned to their fate as it were. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE On our own part, we are raising a very strongly worded petition to the appropriate authorities. The family of the victim demands for justice. Justice they must get. We have also assured them that the trigger-happy police man must be brought to book. A young life with her future ahead of her has just been cut short because in this clime, we place very little or no values to human lives. That's why the police with invade the home of an innocent teenage girl in the dead of night and snuff the life out of her for no reason whatsoever. We shall continue to update you as the events unfold... Please, remember the grieving family in your prayers. Israel Mbaebie (E.D, Campaign for the Advancement of Justice - CAJ) 3 Likes 2 Shares
