For as long as Bukky remains on that seat, there ll be no peace in tha house. He is proud and selfish. There was a clear opportunity for him to make peace reign buh he chose to do things his own way. If he had chosen Ahmed lawan and co as the principal officers jst as the party wanted, I am sure there wld be peace in tha house now. Bukky is the major problem @ the moment.
I don't like him. The major reason u tink dias no peace in d house and he should step aside is bcus u don't lik him. But dats sentiments u knw. If u can shove it aside blv me u will live long. |
Phones › Re: Tips To Reduce Your Mobile Data Usage by Chinatownm(m): 5:28pm On Jul 24, 2015 |
kingstylo01: The rate at which we surf the web these days is becoming higher than ever. Also, the speed at which data plans are disappearing is something to talk about. You will not want your MB to be wasted or consumed without giving you your desired results. In light to this, everyone wants to cherish their MB. What measures are you putting in place to reduce your mobile data usage? Of course you might have your individual data saving strategy but you need to apply the ones outlined here. Feel free to adapt these tips for the specific data consuming apps you use frequently or your particular usage habits. No matter the methods you use, if the following five are not put into practice, then you haven’t started yet. Here are the five easy tips you need in order to save your MB:
1. COMPRESS CHROME PAGES Let’s say you are using Google Chrome browser to surf the web all the time, compressing the pages alone can save you about 30-35% percent of your data consumption for your mobile browser. Chrome pages compressing, which is now known as Data Saver in the settings, enables all web pages to be compressed before they are loaded into your browser. Although Using Data Saver does come with its own disadvantages, one of which is slowing things down a little bit, you need it to save data usage. You don’t need to worry about the speed as you’ll sooner or later get used to it. To see your data savings record, all you have to do is to just launch Chrome browser, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner, and scroll down to Settings then to Data Saver. Watch the graph always to notice how your data savings grow.
2. DITCH THE FACEBOOK APP For android users, Facebook has become one of the most used apps, leading to loss of data and even draining of battery. To save your data, replace it with an alternative app such as Tinfoil for Facebook which is simply a web app that displays the Facebook website. Even the Facebook Lite which we are made to believe reduces data consumption by 50% is not recommended because it still wipes hundreds of data monthly.
3. RESTRICT BACKGROUND DATA Surely, if you tell your apps or your device itself to restrict background data, you’ll have done a great favor for yourself. Features such as email syncing, weather widgets, feeds updating etc. are examples of background data that you should disable because they use your data even if you are not actually using them. In light to this, you can also adjust some settings on your smartphone to restrict background data in Settings > Data usage > Restrict Background Data. If you want to adjust the settings for a particular app, go to Settings > Apps. Note that this depends on the particular version of android you are using. To change your sync settings for Google services, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > select the account. When this is done, all you should do is to simply uncheck the services you don't want syncing automatically.
4. DISABLE AUTO-UPDATING APPS Google play apps updating is yet another factor that drains your MB. If you set the play store to automatically update apps, your internet subscription data will be wiped out without you even noticing it. How then do you disable auto-update apps? To do this, simply go to the Play Store and have the left-hand navigation drawer swiped out. Open the settings and there is Auto-Update Apps at the top, then tap it. Ensure that it is either set to ''Do Not Auto-Update Apps'' or “only over Wi-Fi.” For individual apps settings, go to My Apps, choose the app you want to disable and then tap the overflow menu to check or un-check Auto-Update.
5. SAVE RATHER THAN STREAM If you are always streaming music and videos from Streaming sites such as YouTube, Vine and other video and music sites, then you are in for drastic data consumption because online streaming consumes data more than you thought. The best option for you here is to always download these files (music or videos) to your device. You can also save the music for offline listening, if you are not the type that likes stuffing music or videos on your microSD card. Take note that if you can reduce to the least minimum your online streaming attitude, then you will save a lot of data usage and your subscription will last for you.
These are the five sure steps to curb mobile data usage. What other methods do you use? Feel free to list them here.

Politics › Re: Buhari's Planned Probe Of Only Jonathan Administration And The "Far Past" by Chinatownm(m): 11:17am On Jul 24, 2015 |
barcanista: Since his March 28 electoral victory, President Buhari has been credited with some statements that are so unworthy of his office as the President of Nigeria. The latest of them is the President's determination to limit his probe to Jonathan's administration only. Add to this, Presidential Spokesman Femi Adesina insulted our sensibilities by these words...
“If you recall, that was already settled before he got inaugurated as president. He has said he will not waste time digging into the far past,” “The far past will includes Obasanjo and others. But the president has said he will not waste time to go that far.”
In addition to the above statement, the Spokesman also said... "He can’t afford to go too deep into the past or else it will be destructive for his administration." https://www.nairaland.com/2471364/buhari-probe-jonathans-govt-only
1. The "Far Past" Exclusion:
There was no time during the electioneering or transition period that Buhari made any statement like excluding "far past" administrations. What is "far past"? This obviously is a new creation aimed at protecting certain persons.
Let us do a recall that before the election, APC Chairman John Oyegun was quoted to have said.. “It is clear that from the Buhari’s perspective and that of the APC, the future of the people of this country is too important for us to spend valuable time trying to dig into the past...”
Oyegun further made clarification that the "past" is pre-2015 (not pre-2010) when he said
“And we are going to go into a situation, post May 2015, where the law will normally take its course. There will be a line drawn on the sand; on one part is the past, the other side is the future." www.punchng.com/news/only-corrupt-nigerians-oppose-buhari-says-apc/
We also recall that Buhari himself on March 11, 2015 in a campaign rally in Kaduna state made it clear that he will only probe post-May 29, 2015 corruption cases. www.newtelegraphonline.com/i-wont-probe-former-leaders-says-buhari/ www.thenationonlineng.net/buhari-i-wont-probe-past-govts/
There was no talk of "far past" at any time.
2. Obasanjo, Atiku, IBB etc And The "Far Past"
Isn't this laughable? If Buhari had changed his mind from his earlier position, isn't it sane that he probes former administrations especially from the IBB regime? If he insist on probing democratic administrations, then why not start from May 29, 1999? Nigerians will like to know what happened to the billions recovered from Abacha. We will like to bring those indicted in the PTDF scandal to Justice (Obasanjo, Atiku and co). We will like to know what happened to the N2.3trillion the Obasanjo allegedly spent on power. We will like to bring to justice the Haliburton "thieves" among others.
Is Buhari now trying to protect Obasanjo, who happens to be his military benefactor in 1977 and his navigator to the March 28 electoral triumph? Is he trying excluding the Abacha regime because he was part of it? Is he protecting Yar'adua administration because he was his kinsman and certain officers of that government contributed to bring him to power? Why is Buhari making nonsense of leadership?
3. Going Too Deep Is "Destructive"?
What is destructive in bringing officers of past administrations that has looted our common wealth to justice? Is he trying to say that he can't probe his benefactors (Abacha and Obasanjo), his kinsman (Yar'adua) and his Northern military comrade (IBB), but will only probe Jonathan's administration because he neither benefitted from Jonathan nor is he a kinsman to Jonathan?
Finally, I want to reiterate that I am not against the probe of Jonathan's administration(PDP and Jonathan also share this sentiment). However, it amounts to injustice, unpatriotism and "unstatesmanlike" for the President to come up with a new "jargon" such as "far past" in his bid to shield his benefactors from probe. I to appeal to patriotic Nigerians to call on President Buhari to tow the path of sanity, fairness and statesmanship in leadership.
May God Bless Us All. Wat do I offer u sir? Orijin or Alomo, dats a reward for a job well done. |

irishCream: Dear Family I'm in deep shiiit, so confused on what to do right now.
I just turned 29 few days ago and have been out of a serious relationship for over a year now.
Have been waiting patiently for that right man to come along but unfortunately it only the wrong ones that keep coming my way, they just want to have a feel of my sweet body and off they go, no genuine intentions.
Now there's a brother that have been friendzoning for over two years now yet he keep persisting, good a thing I'm not the type that pretends so I told him from day one he asked me out that I'm not interested in him except on friendship level, I told him I don't feel him emotionally but he keep hanging on hoping I change my mind with time, my reasons for rejecting him is cos to me he's not presentable enough and I can't be proud introducing him to my people and again he got no good paid job (why on earth must he be poor and ugly at the same time, what kind of torture is that ). He's just managing in a private firm that pays less than 50k.
But what makes me have a rethink is the character of this my friendzoned brother, he keeps in touch despite my rejecting him, he even offer little financial assistance when I'm in need, when I asked him why he's doing all these to a girl that openly reject him he claims he has faith that I'll consider him one day, sometimes I'm forced to suspect if he has cast a spell on me so another good man won't come my way.
Now he has called to schedule a date tomorrow and I know as usual he wants to remind me that the year is running that I should consider his request since he hope to settle down this year.
Please dear Family advice me accordingly is it advisable I say yes to a man I don't feel a thing for emotionally? Can I ever get to love him? I do hear love grows but I don't believe in such!!! Dear miss agbani Derego, u started ur piece by eulogizing ursef and casting d guy. wat if am d guy and I jus read ur piece. I will kip close marking u until u yield then I will smoosh u wella from behind at least ten times, then I will friendzone u, so u realize dat wat goes around comes around. |
