Mr for your information...you ain't better than most driver here...you were just opportuned that's all...the fact that you buy a car, give a driver to drive doesn't make him less or inferior... This is a business.. You ain't doing anyone any fucking favour...you invested to make money and he is driving to make money...stop seeing driver as your slave or maybe you are doing them a favour, he's not your personal driver...this is business...
olaboy1:
Trying to use emotional manipulation will not help drivers to gain employment. Nigerians are so fond of using emotion to try to win an argument.

Drivers working in Chevron, Banks and telecoms are employed as drivers and not partners. Whether you want to be called robotic fleet driver doesn’t change the fact that car owners invest their money for the sole purpose of making profit, and drivers should stop this egoistic behavior of wanting to make more money than the investor.

When you run your mouth that investors are not doing drivers any favor, I want you to remember Nigeria is currently in this financial mess because of poor mentality of people like you, most investors are pulling out of Nigeria. Now ask yourself who does this affect more, investors or Nigerian citizens.

So yes Uber investors are doing you a big favor by investing their hard earned money. Uber is not the only place they can invest their money.

Since you live in Nigeria with the very poor minimum wage, how long do you think it will take you to raise 2m Naira (10yrs I guess).

And for the drivers complaining, this job is for professional drivers who have driven commercially for many years like the danfo drivers.
Danfo drivers are on the road 10-15 hrs daily with no car A/C and lastma, Agbero/Police will not let them rest.

So be grateful to God and the investor that you can atleast earn around 100k monthly. This is not a get rich quick scheme.
Before Uber came to Nigeria, ask yourself how much were people earning and what job were they doing.
Many people do tedious laborer jobs and take home 2,500 daily. So far Uber is the only menial job in Nigeria that pays well.

Mr your calculation is absolutely wrong...with this...its really shows you haven't been on the road driving on uber or taxify for sec...50k is slavery even with 40k ur car will be the one to suffer for it cos it will definitely going to be on the road day and nite for driver to meet up...I noticed only greedy partners come here to complain of driver running off with thier money...and most driver takes off stupid deals out of despiration...its possible for u to get 50k but believe me...out of 4 weeks in a month...u won't get remittance more than twice..the rest will be stories or your spending most of the weeks at the mechanic workshop...stop been greedy.... E hailing is not a ponzi...
jpworld:
Fuel to accomplish 100k weekly if corolla is less than 25k(3x7-21k), 9mobile 1200 for 1.5 gig.. aboki charge 2500 for car wash monthly.

Your family is your personal problem, the owner wont say because you have a large family then dont want to make income. or better still if you have a large family dont drive uber, go and apply for Chevron work.

@ the end of the week, after personal expense, the minimum you are going home with weekly is 20k, sometimes it could be more.

Go to your location settings and put it on high accuracy...
fortune100:
. Have done that, I mean what do I do to avert a reoccurrence of such, cos its showing my location on the map as lekki

It might not be your fault...the rider might put his or her pick up location at the airport unknowingly and he's in lekki...

@Ogunvic41

Drivers driving peoples car are given more consideration than the car owners driving by uber
So it is very easy for ur drivers to make cool money at a short period of time

There is no way they won't still end up doing that..small thing no dey teach them lesson..let taxify come up with better incentive.. Drivers will migrate back and history will repeat itself again...
ifyeez:
Uber should rectify this issue in there system, because Nigerians learn bad thing easily and fast, once people know about this bypass on Uber system, all riders will start doing it, please Uber agents should take notes, or less they want to have more people pull out from their system this year, they will end up paying huge amount of money for adverts like there doing now on soundcity fm

This people are also scam...the fact that rider uses fake credit card shouldn't mean he will be the one to bear the loss...that was how I took a rider from lekki phase 1 last year dec. to Badore Ajah on 1.8 surge...I dropped the rider can on calculated the fee...it was zero naira...thought they will adjust and credit me back but they didn't ...I reported after like 4 days and they are telling me shit that the trip can't be reviewed after 3 days...shithole people...
Romeo3:
rider used fake credit card. Uber couldn't charge from the card.

I don't understand this uber fare ooo. After ending d trip I saw N1,600. But when I check and sum the total amount I discovered it was about N2,300. Same happened to almost all my trips today on uber.
To me Uber are just ripping us off with that their stupid commission... Seems its time for me to join the trend and register taxify as well...Uber will just be useful when going home....

Incentive? Who fit do 4 trips btw 4pm and 8pm or 9 trips btw 1pm and 10pm, that one na incentive? Once i see 1.2 and above on uber, i don off taxify
Though I don't really know how taxify operate but seeing them reducing their commission to 10% trilled me..and I'm sure its not as if there won't be surge on taxify as well..there will....at least...Uber should reduce their own commission as well...25% is too much..

Then who is deceiving who . They never amount to anything. At d end of the day, when guys are eating the fruit of their labour ,they will still be looking for partners to drive for. No food for a lazy man . I can't even allow driver owe 2weeks with all flimsy excuse ,na to collect car sure pass .

author=alstarmayo post=62732288]Even some that are not lazy will still owe partner. Some people are just irresponsible and can't keep to agreement. All those stories are lies to rip you off. When they owe you for a few weeks and you can't take it anymore, they move to another partner
Oga why do u keep ranting here..you can always collect your car and drive yourself.... Make your research before partnering with any driver...imagine taxify going on with advert of drivers making 480k montly...wen we both know that's not visible...those are wats deceiving we partners thereby mounting pressures on drivers...some partners will even give a driver V6 engine and expect him to deliver 40k weekly...who does that?...don't be a coward and money drunk with exorbitant weekly delivery....if ur delivery is reasonable... Drivers will be willing to work and if u can't cope with him...collect ur car...get a new driver or drive yourself... Stop ranting!!!!!!
