There is nothing wrong with u'r husband giving u, a Yoruba name, but insisting that u change u'r name to it is where the problem is. Yoruba's can give names ask your husband, he will definitly have more than three first names. My sister-in law is Yoruba and we gave her Igbo name, which she loves so much that she put it in her FB name.

Personally I like the name, and just flow with it. Like Ify suggested u can equally give your husband pet Igbo name

Did Ojukwu recognize him as his son. If yes his kinsmen will know about it, and he will be in Nnewi during his fathers final burial to accord him final respect.

The Dede guy is not a member of Ojukwu family, That is why he was not in Nnewi during the final burial of Ikemba. Ikemba may be his biological father, but it still don't make him a member of the family.

By Nnewi culture a child born out of marriage belongs to the woman's family. So Dede will bear his mothers surname and not Ojukwu. Ojukwu family will not accept him, since they did not pay bride price on his mother's head (ie Ikemba did not marry his mother)

I believe that the guy involve is very close to u, as in very close, I don't know if he is u'r BF or not, but u guys are very close.

I don't have a problem with the guy wanting to be on his own. I only have a problem with him not having anything to start with. Thinking of a loan, to start a business is not just it, One no banker will loan u 1 naira, since u'r untested, beside business in not as easy as its seems.

We have drivers in my office that earns less than 40K per month and they are married and have families. Personally i will not advice the OP to marry with 40K per month income. Let him save and invest, and seek for more opportunities in life. Marriage kind of ties u down. I don't think any one will like to be feeding from hand to mouth.

Personally I don't like joint this joint that, I don't have joint account with my wife, although she is my next of kin, I'm currently developing a property and she is willing to assist, but I keep making one excuse or another to discourage her(call it pride, I believe its something I need to do myself).
