So I am at home today looking at the light bulb, thinking when PHCN will do the needful but that is not really my problem per say, since I know that PHCN have always been incompetent since 1960....... I got a tecno phone, tecno l9 plus precisely because of the strong 5000mah battery and the wide screen size which have really help me unlike my 1hour laptop... But recently my phone develop screen issue leaving me to choice to be best friend with my 1 hour laptop..... I have been studying a lot about internet businesses which I have a very deep knowledge about but right now the issue is a sustainable electricity and I dont mean PHCN....... I use to go to CChub / American corner or Herbert macaulay library but these places are either having issues or close at the moment...... Right now I am feeling like the most idle person in Nigeria ...... I will like if anybody can recommend an electronic device that can sustain only my laptop and phone with electricity or a place that I can go, to become useful to Nigeria economy …………

Yes I agree.... Many people complain abt Nigeria bt for me I see it as a gold mine coz there is a lot of problem and providing solutions to problems using one skills and creative equals wealth and more knowledge

OK, everything you said is true to some extent. I'm not disputing any bit of it but here is something I think y'all hear.

I'm a self taught developer. True life story

I always wanted to code, so badly more than anything in the world but I was already doing graphic designs and had woes with the person who was teaching me graphics. So I decided to learn Web design on my own. I decided I was going to do it no matter what.

I decided to go for night class for the next 90days so I always have light. Also, Airtel night plan was #25 for 500MB and you could do it as many times as possible.

To cut the long story short I was like the best designer at my school after 90days. I now write React.js (that was acquired much later). There were nights with no light in school, also nights when Airtel network jonzed, but I never stopped.


In short just put your mind to it and be ready for anything and trust me even when you learn web development finish, get another skill as back up because this is Nigeria and we developers don't really get appreciated here!

In order news here is something I did in boredom MEMORY GAME

It it doesn't necessarily need to add another skills if one is really creative... But it is also an added advantage and I really like the memory game reminded me about the old game I use to play on my computer when I was 8 yrs....

Hmmmmm yeah I don't really like overcrowded place that much too coz a lot of stimulations and the brain trys to process all led to shutting or weariness .... Bt ur childhood friends shouldn't b a problem....... because by the time any of u say something bfor u no it will hv turn into a very deep conversation of memories...... While u can try to use the introvert strength to overcome obstacles....

I can relate with you. I was frustrated with the battery issue during the lockdown and went to get one at N5000 in Ikeja. Believe me it didn't last two weeks. I have since been gathering money to buy a new laptop.

Most of the batteries I bought at Ikeja is rubbish , I don't think there is any strong laptop battery there like the follow come batteries in new system coz most of them are China brand which is fake , it will last for maybe 3 months max ..... I think the American market is the best for original battery like amazon and eBay bt the dollar currency is a big factor wish 1 dollar = 1 naira

I can relate with that. My childhood days was spent listening to older folks and watching facial expressions so I can tell when someone is lying. I know those friends that will last so I don't give too much face to most people, making me look like a snub.

My advice is... Be yourself. If you must change, change for yourself.

Now nobody wants to be around me except my few friends i had who accepted me the way i am. I couldn't go for the gir i was interested in.
i was so ashamed, embarrased, nervous and fearful about doing things people do normally without a stress.

OP what u need to understand is being introvert doesn't mean the person is shy, shy is a social anxiety ..... Introvert has to do with the kind of traits you choose to display at any given time ... One thing I know and I strongly believe is that introvert really underestimate themselves ... Introverts in all given situation may think that they cant do this they can't do that but given the situation will do more and even do better even surprising themselves ...... They are like wisemen who alway think that they are not wise ..... So forget dont try to change who you are and only focus on your strength and weakness one of the greatest weakness of an introvert is the loop trap which many of us find ourselves in .... Always playing things in our head multiple times because we over analysis things which sometimes led into a indefinite loop

OP really did justice to the topic ... Really explain it ... Well me too I display more of the introvert traits , always trying to maintain my lane.... Dey ur dey make I dey my dey .... I don't go and be looking for attention it is quite the opposite ...... I don't go about talking to people unless there is something that warranted the issue in the first place ..... I attended lecture just 20 time the whole semester coz one I don't even understand anything, the students are too much, to me it is waste of time I prefer reading on my own and I still end up passing mostly average sha ..... I am always lost in my thoughts ....... I can engage in conversation and flow only if it is been started by another person .......... I can stay indoor and I will not be bored ..... I will say diz, introverts are highly and very observant , they are good listeners , they are highly altruistic bt people see them as proud , arrogant ,painting unknown pictures abt them , introvert highly cherish friendship and if you happen to have one as friend, you have an ally for life coz they prefer no friends at all than toxic friends ..... Well bt side hv advantage and disadvantage...... Most introverts hv dis special ability or power like a mind freak or manipulator that is why villains are usual attributed that particular trait , their observation giv them clue abt things making them best judge or assertion of situations or opinions... There is more bt it is better to develop both side even though we exhibit more of one side than the other
