Someone who has applied for tourist visa last year and was denied. Applied for study visa this year and was also denied. Is it advisable for the person to apply for visiting visa again with hubby? Won't it look like a desperate move? |

AAO7: While there's a previous trend that BVL indicates a final decision has been made... It's very possible that a new trend is in with CIC, you can't be too sure .... Don't write it off too soon. When did you submit your application? |

Naijaforeigner: (1) It is almost impossible to get admission as an international student (at least for Nigerians) into Fanshawe without using an agent. Any money you pay your agent will be returned when you get your visa. P.s The agents are only for admission.
(2) If you see any PGD with co-op in your preferred program, please take it with both hands and legs (you will thank me later). If there is no PGD with co-op, go for PGC. You can always renew your study permit in Canada.
The other degree you mentioned, that is not even an option. Fo the bolded above, any particular reason. Does it guarantee study visa approval? |

Please enlighten me more on this. I got an admission with funding. But I will be expected to work in the university 4hours per week as a graduate assistant. Also the program involves internship opportunity. So will this program be regarded as co-op option? Bracha: Work requirement on study is for those who have a co-op option attached to their study. If you don't have this, don't tick the 'Yes' box on the form, where it asks if you'll need to work while you study. Ticking 'yes' means you're going for a co-op type of study. |

sillysassysally: TRV UPDATE for the week ending May 26th
This week featured quite a number of updates - especially among 2018 applicants. Processing time remained at 9 weeks.
I would encourage those viewing the thread but have not submitted their timeline to please do, as it would help us make logical guesstimates on CIC processing time. Complete information is still needed from Dolapok, Seatea, Oni2019, Promise147, docsaj, Cutieflaky, Teejay30628, Klem28, Boe19, Ancy 26, Omarzx, Hiambenson, Wealthmiq, Teslimot01, Obehi44, Vickglam, Pelumi12, Nochyks87, Harveygordon, Bdemix, Alexkrueger, Emeritus00, Chinonye94, Atamanekpen, Deane, Okoriekwe, and Opana1).
Finally, if you guys have any ideas on how we can present this information better or what else we can add to it or remove from it, I am always open any adjustment that'll make this better. Pls what does letter B stands for? |

Kishkosh: Guys. I can not thank you all enough . Original passport request . First time applicant with virgin passport .
Application lodged on the 12th of June 2018 with upfront medicals. Biometrics done on the 22nd of June 2018 . And medicals updated as passed on the 7th of August 2018 and that same day my eligibility review started. And since then , I didn't hear from the embassy . because of the delay I lost my admission and I had to reapply again as the school does not defer ... a specialised and highly competitive programme . Fortunately I was offered admission the second time and I mailed my new admission letter to the embassy and also sent an updated statement of account alongside the new admission. Since then , I've been bombarding them with mails. I sent mails to several MPs, about 7 responded and took up my case , including the PM and Minister for immigration , I even extended my mails to the senators and speaker of the House and also the some Assistants or top personnel in IRCC office.
I didn't stop . I kept sending mails to anyone I see as a too official in Canada because my understanding is that they can't refuse me visa cuz I'm sending several mails(i don't know who has that thought ) And just today , I got the passport request .
Thank you everyone . special thanks to Makano(this dude advised me not to withdraw my apllication just yet and told me to keep sending mails. Makano will connect me to his office internet and tell me to check nairaland visa section for updates . I will go prepare the place for you bro, I'm your John the Baptist , yours will come in no time) @frankrobbn1 , @kpizzle ,this dude called me late in the night , shared his experience and gave me reasons to keep hopes high when I was hell bent on withdrawing my application. @Asapant, my man . You're blessed . @qudcom, @sillysassysally @justmellow @austacus @bracha and all other persons who gives to this section of the forum , God bless you all. Good work you guys are doing ... I wish @goingforward is still here .
Above all , GOD GOD GOD !!! HE DID IT . I prayed and fasted and I'm happy it payed off. My other moniker was just banned Pls can you get in touch. I understand you are a lawyer. I have sent you a pm. Thanks |

Thanks for your prompt response. Qudkom: Letter of employment, letter of introduction and leave letter will do. You can also attach work ID card and pay slips if you have. |

In proving evidence of job, what and what should I attach to my application for study visa. I am thinking of adding a reference letter, letter of recommendation and study leave, pay slips (if applicable). My reference letter will detail my job scope, how much I earn and how many hours I work on a full time or part time basis right? While the recommendation contain the purpose of my traveling right? Pls I hope adding all thses 3 letters will not be superfluous? |

I am a lecturer with a federal university; I am married with a daughter, but intend going alone; I gained a funded PhD program in McGill; have a support document from Quebec (CAQ); going for upfront medicals May 27th; and my account balance is N1.5M.
Please respond with accounts or documents I need to add... Thanks

So what is the next course of action. Do you intend reapplying? You should order GCMS note to atleast give you an idea of how their mind works while they were working on tour file. In my opinion, I don't think you should give up. Though $150 is not small money. chibertha: yes oh |
