Let me give you an instance: few years ago at Alaba International...I walked into one of the banks and I was ushered in by one of the bank security guys. For almost a year plus...this security guy was always at the gate/door post and most times inside the banking halls helping customers fill their tellers and other stuffs.

Some months later I went back to the bank to carry out some transactions but though I didn't notice that the guy was not there sha...then I proceeded inside the banking hall and unfortunately their gen was down. And we were told to wait if we can...or better still go to their new branch if we so wish. Out of annoyance as a result of the time wasted and double transport to be incurred I just left to the new branch which is not far from where this one was.

So on getting there...low and behold...the person I saw inside the new branch banking hall was that security guy I knew at the old branch. He recognised me as I greeted him and I was like: "what happened?" He just laughed and confided in me that God has eleviated him by making him a full staff of the bank as a marketing executive and few minutes after discussing with me...he left the bank premises with one other staff in an official car.

Just few months ago...I saw him within my office vicinity...comfortably seated at the back with another staff as they came around to access a client.

So my bro...nothing wey God no fit do. All this while I never knew he was a graduate. When the opportunity for recruitment came in the bank (one of the leading bank in Nig n Africa) he submitted his papers...wrote the exams and scaled through with the interviews. And look at him today.

Is it possible for an average 9ja guy to survive without bread and beans?

On my way back from the office I decided to walk into a fast food eatery to quench my over punished tommy...on stepping in...I was shocked to see almost all the guys both young and old wacking beans and bread. Immediately I concluded that that is what I will chaw right away and I placed the order.

So my question is: will it be possible for an average 9ja guy to live without beans and bread?

MY TAKE ON ASUU: PLEASE, DON'T CALL OFF THE STRIKE.

I know a lot of peeps might not really accept my inner thought on this issue but then it is strictly my opinion as I do hope that it will be beneficial to our educational sector at the long run.

A lot of our students are eager for ASUU to call off the strike as most of them have taken to different social medias to voice their displeasures of staying at home and doing nothing also citing that most of them are at the brim of rounding up.

If I may ask...how many of us can hit our chests in adherence that our educational system is among the best in Africa not to even mention in the world. You enrolled in a school to study computer science and until you graduate no one will show you physically...the physical parts of computer system and still you call your self a computer science students. I don't want to go into the medical courses where there are no practicals to a verifiable state of having self confidence as a medical or pharmaceutical personnel. So many instances to be mentioned cause even the pot bellied lectures are not left out who drinks and smokes their brains out before stepping in to lecture you.

With your money these days your assessments are guaranteed and a lot of water will be allowed to flow beneath d bridge and still you claim to be a student under this current shambles of our degenerated educational system not to even mention the dilapitated buildings and carpenter's workshop classrooms and still yet most of us are clamouring for ASUU to call off the strike...my question is: On what ground?

It is crystal clear that our leaders don't patronise these schools cause all their kids are full time customers to the foreign schools where they belief that education is at its prime so why will they give a thought on how you are been taught. Their kids are not schooled under the same harsh condition as you and these kids in turn communicate to this God forsaken leaders how they are being treated and taught well in these foreign lands still they have refused to implement visible growth in our educational sector.

It is no longer news that most of us are in school just for the main reason that the certificate must be obtained and not for the basic practical intelliegence that goes with it cause of what our economy has deviated to. The artisans graduates are better than the university graduates in all ramfications even as the pockets of these artisans are better judges of what I meant. With this, people are loosing interest in our educational system because at the end of the day most of us can't defend our years spent in schools when opportunity presents itself.

I have always been clamouring for all students ranging from our secondary school to the university level to embark on a self imposed strike until the government passes a bill that no governement official should send his/her kid(s) outside the shores of this country for any form of education and until this is done everyone of us must remain at home. Its high time the youths stand up and fight for their rights in this country...we are the future leaders of this country...we should not allow our "age catch up" politicians to ruin our future for us. The decision is ours to make but then we must be willing to fight in one accord to achieve our aim.

I'm pleading with ASUU not to call off this strike until ALL their expectations are met. I'm equally happy that ASUP has decided to join in the strike cause the social and economic discrimination on HND holders in comparison with B.Sc holders must stop.

I therefore advice all students affected as a result of this strike to support ASUU for the betterment of our educational system whilst praying that if these conditions are met by the government that the N3trillion naira will be judiciously implemented in the various areas that will help empower the future leaders of our nation.

This is bad!!!! I don't really blame this God forsaken leaders cause their kids don't school in this country from primary to uni level...so why would they give a f?

I av alwys campaigned for all the students to go on self strike with the aim that all govt officials whose kids are schooling abroad should come back or else all school functions will be shut down from the nursery to uni level.
