Lekubumber:I have not done anything yet. I just received the email to come pick up my award letter |
Lekubumber:Not yet. Which forms? |
Do anyone have any idea what next after collecting the NNDC Award letter? Help a brother out pls. |
EMMABC1: @Bethiano. First class bsc degree and msc wt distinction won't take u anywhere if u don't 've d right attitude and mindset. Learn to appreciate God 4 what u are and 4 what u have and then work on ur mindset. Be d change that u seek.Nice comment, man. Its only the right attitude and gratitude to God that paves way for anyone. People just have to learn to stop blaming everybody for there problems. Time and Chance happens to us all... |
scientist235: chivitech congrats on your Nitda scholarship, when are u departing for your programmeThis weekend by His grace. Programme starts October 6 |
scientist235: There will be another board meeting on wednesday ,i dont know what forHmm.. na so. You Don land again |
GlobalCareers: Cabaye, dont u think we ll be asked to commence in january? try and find out.If the scholarship comes out next week as prophesied, then you not need to defer till January. Just ask the school to extend your resumption dates. All UK SCHOOLS have earliest start date and latest start date. Just upload award Letter and ask them to include the latest start date on ur CAN. Ciao |
francini: @rajrascal and Chivitech, thanks so much and God Bless. Chivitech I will be going to Newcastle University and I am also EEE inclined. I look forward to publishing with our very own, Oxford Scholar lol.You are too kind. Wish you all the best. |
francini: Just got my uk visa approved, so happyI am so happy for you. Welcome to the UK. I also got mine approved on Thursday and would be leaving toward the end of the month. Which school are you going to? |
bidibudi: Yea VFS ikeja applied on the 26th2 days like they said. VFS don't waste time like teleperformance. So go check the third day. I will go check on mine on tuesday |
bidibudi: Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com.I got the same message 2 days ago. It is from the UK embassy directly, not from the application centre. The tracking that still remains forwarded to the British commission is from the application centre's website (I presume you used VFS Ikeja or Abuja). I presume it will change when they receive the passport back from the embassy. At least, that's what I am hoping for as we are in the same boat. ![]() |
lay86: am happy for you? am still expecting mine i also submitted my application on the 27th of August at teleperformance in V/I. should i be worried that i haven't been contacted yet. i hate the wait. You need not worry. Teleperformance has a credibility for lateness and delay. For all we know, you visa might have been ready but they won't contact you until they get it back from the embassy. Just keep your fingers crossed and expect good news soon. |
HudsonBanks: Congrats bro! All roads lead to South-east England from nowThanks bro. South-east England it is. As for Oxford, I give all the credit to the Almighty God. It's all his doing. It was just favour, bros. |
francini: @Chivitech pls how many times did your status message change from the initial one?It never changed. As a matter of fact it still hasn't changed. I received an email directly from the UK embassy not from VFS. I am guessing it will change when VFS gets back the passport from the embassy. |
Miada: So did I actually!! Congrats to youThanks dearie. Congrats to you too |
GVA: @chivitech , What school are you going to?University of Oxford |
mhoreh: my friend @chivitech neva do testimony, awon ti oxford we dey wait you@Mhoreh, no mind me joor. I am working on a paper that I want to publish in IEEE Journal, been busy. To the house, I got an approval email from the embassy last night saying "Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com." Thank you so much for the support, advise and help. I am eternally grateful. For those who want extra information, I submitted in Abuja on the 27th of August and got the approval on the 4th of September i.e. 5 working days. |
profibadan: @Justwise thanks for all the wonderful works you and others are doing on this forum. Please I need your help. I got this message on Monday: "Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com" I waited for the sms from VFS Ikeja to no avail, hence I sent a message to UKVI to know the status of my passport ebcause I intend to visit Ikeja for my passport only to get this message:Believe the message from abuja. The second message is an automated message send to most peopl who sends an a message to that email address. no personnel has replied you yet. Go pick up your visa |
Allenbaba: What exchange rate do they use to convert pounds to naira at the embassy? I want to know how much 12,980 pounds will amount to in Naira. They use oanda rate. go to http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ |
mhoreh: i guessed it was still gonna be available, but if i go talk am at dis peak time na automatic hot sit for meI guess you are right because even south africa high commission only collects 200 application in a week; after that they would reject any other application till the next week. I guess same thing applies here but on a monthly basis. Guess they have fully booked the appointments for August. I am counting days ooo. VFS Abuja gimme my visa o. olorun o ni ba ti yin je o |
rajrascal: With the ebola scourge we are facing in the country, scientist fit don enter lab dey cook im own zmapp drug as NDDC dey delay d guy..The guy dey try invent no ni. Small time e go dey give people scholarship on ebola virus vaccination |
linton99: chivitech hw far..e don tey oo where u dey since. Welcome....anybody don hear frm scientist? Abi him still dey lab...??Bros, I dey o. Just pursuing NITDA award letter up and down. I don successfully get am now and have applied for visa successfully. I am still rooting for you guys. The heart of men is in the hands of God and he will turn it in any direction he wishes. Whether na GEJ or NDDC "power-holders", God would not give them peace until they release the list. #Gbam# |
cabaye: the cause of this delay is not finance. the person in charge of scholarship has been absent and very sick and he is likely to travel out very soon for treatment.Shey na ebola e get ni? ![]() |
pholareen1: I'm afraid you filled the wrong one. It ought to be under tier 4 (sponsorship) (General). Maybe you should start another application. A suggestion though. But I think some other people Like the Great JustWise would be having more suggestions.Thank you, you were right. God bless you |
justwise: You should have gone for Tier 4 sponsored student because you are going to be sponsored.Thank you so much. I read it up on the ukvi website and I have successfully completed the application and book an appointment. Thank so much for the advise. |
mhoreh: oga chivitech dats why it is oxford na, convenant university yato si osun state university kelol. na wa for you o. its true sha, |
I have an urgetnt problem ooo oga Justwise. I just finished applying for my visa choosing TIER 4 (SCHOLARSHIP) STUDENT because I got the NITDA scholarship. After booking my appointment, I was told application complete (Payment not required). Am I save or did I just finished filoing the wrong application? |
DonOms: From personal observation, I think it's about 3 working days off peak periods; and about 7 working days peak period. Please when is the off peak and the peak periods? |
HudsonBanks: Ah Nawa oooI feel you bro. Mine is even worse. its £530/month and it is not even ensuite. All the ensuite were gone before I applied for accommodation |
justwise:lol.. if you call £85 a week daylight robbery, what will you call £530 a month which is what i am going to be paying at Oxford |
mhoreh: can both of you seriously stop this, everyone on this thread is very important and lots of people have been helped.... selfless service isnt being jobless its all about helping people and we all on this thread aint jobless, we are all just aiming to help one anotherYes o, the wise mhoreh, I feel you joor. How many days left for your 28 days to be completed? |

What of some of us that will be paying well over a £100/week for ensuite on-campus accomodation? I guess we can call it All day robbery(both day & night)
