Jobs/VacanciesRe: Zenith Bank Interview 2016 by CHM11: 10:36am On Aug 25, 2018

Hello sir, I was just notified today that I'm successful in the test and as such I've been invited for an interview. Any advice on how to prepare would be appreciated. I am really thanking you for your precious time.
Congratulations, you've actually done 80% already. I think they actually need more staff at the moment. Zenithbank interview is probably one of the simplest and most organized interview I have ever attended. Usually four interviews on same or different days, depending on the HR plans for the day. Each interview doesnt take long, about 4-10 mins.

Just keep it simple from your end, remember that less is more. Listen more than you talk, say only what is necessary. The only thing that can make u fail a zenith interview is when you say things that are red flags. A dumb guy has more chances of passing the interview than a blabber mouth.

I had mine some 5 years ago, things might have changed now..but if u know about zenith bank, why its number 1, its history, name of Directors, why you want to work in Zenith, what you studied and how you can apply skills gained from University (teamwork, Listening, integrity, great eye for detail, client/customer focused, result oriented, empathy, continuous improvement mindset, fast learner etc) to banking etc, then you should do very well.

congratulations once again, wish you the very best.

Lol, if you say so but to the extent i know, except on special request, GA don't do marketing, marketing is for senior staff.
not everybody works at the branch level. There are head office staff, etc. people in e-biz, loans, hr, etc... most of these departments have GAs too... even at the branch level, i know a few people who were GAs in FT.
But like u said, the bulk of new intakes will be in customer service or Cash&Teller.

Definitely you're still in Zenith, we heard about the increment, is 101k netpay after deduction.. also have been waiting for interview invite for close to 2months now though i called HR sha, @ least their respond was cool
i am not, but i have friends still there.

Besides some of your posts up there are not entirely correct. Not every GA is a teller or a customer service officer.

Thank you! Please what's the duration for the test and how many questions should I expect?
I cant say for sure, but if you prepare for 150 questions in 1hr then you should be safe.

Please I got an invite for an interview at Zenith Bank. But have no idea of the role I'm to interview for as the mail did not state the job that was applied for. Please what is the pay like for someone who is new to the banking industry.
Graduate Assistant (contract) 101k.

Good evening all, please what's the ideal dress code for a female going for the test?
for a test, business casual is ok. just wear something that you are comfortable in.

A friend just called me that he received a text invitation for the next stage. I haven't received any message though. Do the tests invitation come in batches?

cc

CHM11

@embassyrich , did u get any text?
I'd advice you to move on, try other opportunities. If you have not been called, it means u either didn't make it to the next stage or you haven't been scheduled for an interview.

Don't put ur mind on it though, just keep trying other openings. If you later get called for an interview, then u can compare your options. Regards.

please how tough is the test?

from ur experience how does it feel working in zenith

is FSLC necessarily needed? its included among the credentials in the text i got
the Test was basic Gmat/GRE standard. If you calm yourself well and focus on your strength u can easily score 85%. ie, if you are good with numerical, then u can focus on that first..skip all verbal reasoning, they will normally ckme back later in the test. Disclaimer: This was years ago, i dont know how the system is now.

back then, FSLC wasnt required for test, but since it has been included in the text you got, please try and go with it if you have it. if not, try to calmly explain to the HR rep at your test location.

Zenith bank is one of the leading banks in Nigeria. Truth be told, the contract job thing is ridiculous and very frustrating because of the pay, the years spent on contract and the desire to get a better life while you are still young and able. Zenith bank could easily take years of your early life away from you if you dont open your eyes. That said, the bank is awesome, i heard they are trying to improve the situation for contract staff so you might be lucky.

in summary, its a good place to hold on to while you actively look out for other promising opportunities. But if you intend to remain with the Bank, then you have to be ready to go the extra mile, think out of the box and stand out by getting additional certifications like CFA, ACCA or ACA (ICAN) etc. If you dont have a better offer, accept the job when it comes, its valuable experience and adds quality to your resume.
Regards.

Hello sir. Good day. pls I have been invited by people plus for a test with zenith bank on Monday 13 march 2017. I am a bit confused about how to dress to the Assessment, should I be on suit?
For a test, you dont put on a suit. You can do business casual, a simple shirt and jean is good. Something you feel comfortable in. But if they mention interview in your invite, pls wear a suit (dark blue, black or deep ash).
Congrats in advance.

Anybody here? Successfuls, Waitlisted? Shld we still b hopeful?
Life=hope
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by CHM11:
Wait listed guys, it doesn't take Nlng anything to blast regret mails.... It's been over one year and they didn't send any regret mails, which obviously means that they probably have plans for those still interested in the job.

Besides what's the worry for?.. For heavens sake the first guys haven't even resumed work.... Tech guys will be traveling in a few days... The non tech will have to chill for now.

Lets just be patient and let Nlng clean its mess by itself.
This recruitment is already abnormal. 2013-2018 for graduate trainee recruitment. 5 years... Some of us got our first degree in less.

About moving on... Its not that easy but if Nlng decides to dish out regret mails for the wait listed, people will definitely move on.

Mr man every info I gave earlier is as authentic as "rising of a new day" the waitlisted should move on as there are better opportunities than nlng. Like I said they are done with gts. Nlng really spend alot on this recruitment. I heard about 1 billion naira was utilised.
Thank you for your 'solid authentic info'... It's the best info we've received in months from the surest sauce on NAIRA LAND.... So you mean the absorbed Gts will spend a few months in bonny before they go to the UK?... Wow that's excellent news sir..

Keep it up...are you sure u know anything about this recruitment??..

Why so offended? No need for that.

I could have answered differently and more eloquently but to what end would it serve?

OYO means On Your Own i.e. If you choose like Abraham to hope against hope, be very sure that you actually heard from God as salvation is personal.

I will ignore the other comments.

Enjoy your day.
Sorry if my comment offended you too. Enjoy your day too
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by CHM11: 11:41am On Jun 04, 2017
airsaylongcon:
I wouldn't bank on that. Most likely they'd dip into the waitlist pool if people turn down the offer. And rest assured that people WILL turn down the offer. But Never say Never and don't give up hope
That's possible but I don't think NLNG would just keep over 60 persons on waitlist, with the hope that some persons from about 80 would reject.

With NLNG, nothing is certain these days, so the waitlisted should just keep faith, hope, pray and be expectant that something good will come pretty soon.

NLNG knows what to do, hopefully they will do the right thing. 4yrs is enough to get a Bachelor's degree!!!!!

NPComplete:
Actually he gave an answer. He is telling the rest of us to move on with our lives.
He could have said that in a better way. What the F is OYO!....tmseeew not like his info has ever jived. Monicker keeps changing but person remains the same. Anyways, "imaginary dogs will keep looking for imaginary bone".

To the waitlisted, NLNG is smarter, so far they have not sent regret mails, it means they most likely have plans for you. Keep faith while you try other options.

Even though the NLNG job is an excellent one, the world doesn't revolve around NLNG's butt. There is more to life than just NLNG, a fact you will understand after 10years with the company.

I'm very positive that after the first set is settled at work, the waitlisted will be brought in. Next Q1 seems like a good time.

Is there a plan to eventually employ the candidates that have not yet received offer letters (including those who have not even received letters for medicals).

Thank you.
Is there anyone who did medicals and is yet to receive offer?

So that's how this week was finally the week and/but NLNG still kept some of us waiting... There is God ooo.

Also I heard from an unconfirmed source that some regret mails were sent that Thursday. Who can confirm this please?
Unconfirmed funny source since time IMO river!!..

kbit09:
Guy simple question.
Did you get a success mail last year?
I may be able to relate one possible n obvious answer of urs to this comment of urs. Thanks
Dude is obviously not a medicalisted, and probably not a wait listed.... Maybe there is another group in this process, you never can tell.

Hello All,

Mine is not submitting.
I've filled out all the required information. It's redirecting me to Step 2 - Questionnaire

Who can help out?
under employment history, don't select any as current employment...even if you are currently employed, you just have to fix in a date when u expect to leave ur current job.

don't select 'current role' and fix in a date in both start date and end date for every job role.

you application should go after that.

had same issue when I applied last year...till date seems they've not worked on it

CultureRe: Why Do Igbos Especially The Anambrans Marry From Their Tribe? by CHM11:
WomanOfRace:
Yes, you are right. We should marry ourselves because i'm still not happy we have to share a country with tribes that is always on our neck and still won't let us be.
That post was made a sometime ago dear, I've learnt a lot over that short period of time...the world is small, we don't have enough time to be happy, not to talk of time to hate... I've met awesome Igbo's , really nice peeps who have shown me that my experience was probably because I was with inexposed persons during nysc. Life can be much better than it is now. I love my Igbo peeps as much as I love my delta peeps.
