APC is most likely going to loose kano. Ganduje's administration didn't help matters just like his master Bubu Cc:Mynd44 Cc: OAM4J Front page o |
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Civil Society organisations under the auspices Alliance for Good Governance have demand for immediate prosecution of the APC chairman arrested in possession of over three hundred (300) permanent voter’s card PVCs in Kano. The suspect simply identified as Aminu Ali Shana who is the APC chairman in Yautan Arewa ward, Gabasawa local government of Kano state was arrested on Friday 14th October, 2022. The offence is contrary to section 21 and 22 subsection 1 (a), (b) and (c) of the electoral act 2022 as amended. The police has already transferred the suspect to the department of criminal investigation (CID) of Kano state command in Bompai for further investigation. In a statement issued in Kano and shared with journalists, NNPP chairman, Kano State chapter Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa had directed the party’s legal team to file a petition against the suspect and his core sponsors. “I directed our legal advisor to also write to the electoral umpire (INEC) to as a matter of responsibility pursue necessary action on the matter” Doguwa confirmed in the statement He said the issue of PVC hording has been a source of major concerns in Kano ahead of the 2023 general elections. “We are naturally vindicated by this arrest, we keep our fingers crossed as we await next steps to be taken by both the Independent National Electoral Commission and Nigeria Police” The NNPP said it will pursue this case to a logical conclusion in the interest of protecting democratic principles. In a statement issued to newsmen by Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo NNPP state publicity secretary said the party chairman applauded the efforts of Kano state police command for ensuring proper investigation into the matter that could lead to further arrests of other suspects. Hon. Doguwa also noted with dismay, the attempts of the ruling APC to downsize the number of votes in forthcoming 2023 elections to shortchange the chances of NNPP in Kano and Nigeria. https://nigeriantracker.com/2022/10/15/kano-police-arrests-apc-chairman-in-possession-of-over-300-pvcs/

Tolu1992:I want to ask a simple question. Has there been anytime the world economy has been good. Those in 2010 wil say 2005 was better while the 2015 will say 2010 was better. I personally do not feel that this is enough reason. In this same economy people are crying new millionaires are made |
lrman:Lol i tire o ![]() |
HenryTimes:We are "wa" |
Conner44:Kanu is not a fool. I believe he is wise enough and cannot play into their trap, instead he'll even keep mute or kick obi from time to time indirectly sha |
Okoyeebo:I don't even know what to reply you. Kanu is seeking referendum or secession. And from everything meted out on the igbos by this current administration, truth be told it's not funny and it's never against the constitution to seek any of these. I do not support obi because he's an igboman. If it was orji uzor kalu or rochas okorocha, i will personally not stand for them. So it's not a tribal thing. The average igboman has little interest in politics before now and what aggravated it now is; 1. The bad state of the economy due to incompetent leaders which has affected all states, tribes and religion and they'll still moving to install a version 2 wahala 2. The fact that Peter Obi is a different type of politician many people irrespective of their tribe and religion knows So my dear friend it's beyond tribalism. Sometimes i read what the yorubas say to igbos here concerning lagos and I'm happy because if that will cause us to reduce our outside investments and start investing in our individual states, it's a welcome development and am happy it's seriously yielding results and its a challenge to me (in person) and any learned igbo man to start heading home as those that force 1 nigeria on us are now sending us away and yet unwilling to let go. I'm really happy with the hurting tribal comments meted on my fellow village men here. |
Nyamuri:With all due respect dear friend, can you explain why you're unhappy? |
KillSars:If "it will be very difficult " is chest beating for you, then you must be a child that doesn't understand simple grammar |
This is not ordinary as it came as a surprising news to many Nigerians. Without Nnamdi Kanu's release it will be very difficult for APC to hold their rallies in southeastern states. This must be a political move to calm the heart of the aggrived Igbos and make them forget the maltreatment of this APC government but it shall not work, we will never forget the neglect, nepotism, abandoned project and exclusion from economic plans from the federal government |
altcoinng:We need more of these news. From my experience, anytime i start hearing rumours and news of accumulation by whales, in the begining the price remains still and sometimes goes down. But when it'll set, the speed btc will use to move up will make people wonder if it was a real pump or bear trap. Then men shall be confused whether to jump in or wait. The preachers shall say in those days "beware of FOMO if it breaks this and that, that means we can comfortablysay the bull season has started" Others shall say " if it hasn't touched down to this and that, then its a bear trap" Many shall harken to their voice and stay off the market. After a while, it becomes the normal news "if i had known", "kai i knew when btc was 19k" "God pls give me one chance" |
deflover:Thank you for admitting that. Good luck on your journey |
deflover:It first hit your stop loss (or possibly liquidated you) few minutes after you posted that thing. You forgot? But like people guessed here, you don't trade your calls ![]() |

He is now a "Nigerian man" because it's linked to a good news. If it was otherwise they'll term it "Southeasterner". Shame! |
altcoinng:Exactly! Those trading with small money are the ones that kill themselves with "over" analysis. This is just what i discovered. |
Lol. If Russia was this weak the US and other NATO nations should have envaded and interfered by now to stop the war. But they're all at devil-spoon distance ![]() |
What's the name of this movie? Lol |
greenermodels:Thats one of the reasons people go out of business in agriculture. Trying to be jack of all trades. Pls select one (plant or animal) then stick with it through thick and thin, it'll become something |
All of you saying we'll get more information by the close of the day, end of the month, etc. Not when the day and month closes now you will start giving us another probability talk. (If e touch here then e go there, if e go there then e touch here) We're watching |
Romanoff:Exactly my thoughts. I once asked for the price of something from a guy using my two different WhatsApp numbers and he gave me different prices. I was just disappointed. Since then, I ignore the "DM for price" people |
Lol every sensible Nigerian knows whom to follow. In that video you could see hatred and ulterior motive in that man's eye. Nigeria must be great again! |
A video of the statement which has gone viral captured the ethnic champion advising Christians in the North against voting for a presidential candidate of southern extraction in the election. In the video, already in the social media space, the Katsina-born activist was seen urging Northern Christians not to vote for Christian Candidates from the South, particularly the Labour Party, LP, candidate, Mr Peter Obi, purporting that a vote for him would amount to a vote for Biafra, and a secessionist. Madhi further claimed that Northerners – both Christians and Muslims – are being discriminated against in the South East, South West, and South-South, hence his despicable outing. But in an angry reaction to the development, the Coalition of Northern Elders For Peace and National Unity, CNEFPNU, described the disposition of Mahdi as “distasteful, provocative, and capable of inciting ethnoreligious tension”. While insisting that the outing constituted hate speech and fake news, the elders called on relevant security agencies to arrest, interrogate, and where culpability is established, prosecute him, to serve as deterrence to others, who may contemplate such an infamous path especially as political parties would soon commence their campaigns. In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Prof Abdulkadir Mohammed Gummi, and National Secretary, Hajiya Hadiza M. Gwazo, the elders maintained that the position of Madhi was a brazen attempt to incite Christians against Muslims in the North on one hand, and Northerners against Southerners on the other. “As responsible Northern elders, we view the video by Shehu Mahdi, as a deliberate attempt to instigate ethnoreligious tension in the country, hence our call on relevant security agencies to take him in immediately for questioning. “We further enjoin our people to disregard the provocative comments made by Mahdi, even as we urge them to vote for presidential candidates of their choice, devoid of ethnic, religious, or political consideration. “May we also clarify that having followed Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, for a long time now, we can say, without equivocation, that he is a detribalised, and patriotic Nigerian, who has the interest of the ordinary people at heart”, the statement read in part. According to the patriots, by calling out Northern Christians and urging them not to vote for Obi, Madhi has inadvertently demonstrated that Christians in the North should be held accountable, should an unpopular candidate from the South emerge as President in 2023. The statement reads: “This would mean that Christians from the North would automatically become targets of disparaging remarks and violence. “Secondly, Mahdi’s charge is laced with a lot of tribal and religious slur aimed at causing disaffection between Northerners and Southers, Northerners against Igbos and Northerners against Southeast in general. “In an election period and in a period when Northern Nigeria is going through a very turbulent period, what the North needs is unity in face of all odds and not a campaign of calumny against anyone or region. “As far as the coalition of Northern Elders Forum for Peace and Unity is concerned, Peter Obi was duly certified and cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), the Department of State Security ( DSS ) as a Nigerian who is eligible to contest for any elective office. “INEC which cleared Obi did not say that the Labour Party Flag bearer is a Biafran. The DSS did not come out to say Obi is from Biafra and these organisations are headed by Northerners. Nigerians should be asking Madhi to tell them how he came about his allegations against Obi. “Mr Peter Obi is running to be President of Nigeria and not President of Biafra or Igbos or Southern Nigeria. His ambition according to him is to guarantee economic prosperity and security for all Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, tribal, or religious affiliation. “The Peter Obi campaign is broad-based and all-inclusive. His track record of inclusivity is not in doubt. It is callous for anyone to accuse Peter Obi of running to represent the interest of Biafra. Peter Obi is running to represent the interest of all Nigerians”. It was the contention of the Forum that the current insecurity, untold hardship, and economic deprivation, among other challenges facing Nigerians; with the North worst hit, can only be truly addressed by a visionary and committed leader like Mr Peter Obi. Therefore, it would be foolhardy for anyone to tell Northerners to vote on a tribal, religious or regional basis again. “We as a group would encourage Northerners to scrutinise the economic blueprints of all the Presidential candidates and then choose who has the competence to bring about a positive change, for us in the forum we took our stand with the wave of a new Nigeria that’s about to be birthed, a position we will make public soon. “Similarly, Northerners should interrogate the achievements of all the contestants before choosing who should lead them. What Northerners should not do this time around, is to vote on religious or regional lines as Madhi is advocating”, the statement concluded. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/2023-northern-elders-flay-alleged-inciting-statement-against-peter-obi-by-katsina-based-activist/
