Lets say you earn 90k per month in your job even though you hardly find peace, rest of mind and motivation or even passion for the job, then another opportunity comes where you found out that all you ever wanted in keeping up with the pace is in it only that they will be paying you 80k. Thats 10k less of the current one but there are big opportunities of getting promoted as you put more effort in the job.
Will you take take the latter or go ahead with the former?

By the way, i won't advice you to take your still fragile wife and a week old baby on a journey due to the wedding.

If it can be possible again, go over to spend some time and show your support a day or two before the wedding, then go home and take care of your family. Your father in law cannot make decisions for you because you are married to his daughter. He should mind his own home and business.
