On monday, a 29-year-old Fatai Ganiyu was sentenced to two years imprisonment for stealing 10 bowls of uncooked rice and four bottles of alcoholic drink in Osogbo Magistrate’s Court. Mr. Mereti Wilson the prosecutor, told the court that the 10 bowl of rice that Ganiyu stole was worth N8,000, while the bottles of drink was valued at N10,000 when the convict was first arraigned in court on October 10, 2016. The prosecutor also added that the convict broke into the shop of one Okeola Comfort of the Oke Ayepe area, Gbongan, at exactly 2:45am and stole the said 10 bowls of uncooked rice and four bottles of alcholic drink. He had said: “Fatai committed an offence contrary to and punishable under sections 283 and 414 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, vol. II, Law of Osun State, Nigeria 2002, punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, vol.II, Law of Osun State, Nigeria, 2002.” The convict, who was represented in the court by his counsel, Mr. Seye Oluyombo, pleaded guilty to the two counts preferred against him. The magistrate, Mrs. Adejunoke Olowolagba, said she found Ganiyu guilty on two counts of intent and stealing. She sentenced him to one year each for the two counts. The jail terms are to run cumulatively. The floor is open to suggestions, don't you think the prosecutor probably added a little salt to the injuries of the convict in his statements. Also, was the sentence fair enough? Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks ![]() Note: This article was copied from www.palmchatnow.com

Note: This article was copied from PalmChat “I love you” she whispered softly in my ear and like a Nokia 3310, I felt vibrations moving right from my head down to my toes as though I was piece of ice melting with a fizzing sound “Bergie Selter”. “Bad guy, so because you dey with your shenke (girlfriend) now, you nor wan halla your nigga again bah”, that was my neighbor mike trying to start his car to head out for the evening. “Bros nor be so oo, I no see you there at all”, me trying to defend myself from his harmless allegations well of course with a big grin on my face. Like Genevive, her smile could make everything under clothing wake up in an instant, a sumptuous looking damsel with a round face, her lips as pink as rose petals, and her fragrance scent was one you could tell even from a thousand miles away. “I can’t believe it’s been four (4) years already” she said while playing with my beards and cuddling my arms as she rested on my laps just outside my apartment, it was our anniversary. “You have to be on your way now dear” I said with a sad face, only because I don’t want to be locked up in a guard room whist recalling the last time I snuck up to see her in the barracks not knowing that her dad was at home that very day. “Baby, am gonna miss you” she replied as we headed to the bus stop… “Madam, sell akara for me now” an impatient man yelling probably because he hadn’t eaten anything since he got back from work for the day. “Bros no vex, people plenty and you know say you meet them here” Famous mama akara selling very close to the bus stop I was seeing her (my girlfriend) off to. “Ah! Choice, but you told me she doesn’t sell akara anymore, I want akara jorh” Funny how broke niggas lie just to reduce expense rate. “Okay! Lemme get it for you, stay put” I said as I crossed to mama akara’s spot. Turning around for just a few seconds, a “G-WAGON”, with tinted glasses and dope wheels lost control and was heading directly towards her in full speed. “Jesus” Mama akara shouted. At that moment everything seemed to be at a standstill as I remained motionless and went numb, “Who could be behind the wheel?” My conscience asking me…. 3. CUCUMBER: Considering the recent Miss Anambra scandal that has been trending in all social platforms, the previous know cucumber has been tagged one of the most popular fruit in Nigeria today. Yeah! I said it “Fruit” although, I don’t know what your cucumber serve as to you. 4. RECESSION: As popular as this word is in Nigeria, many still do not know its meaning. Although it hurts me to say, Mama Kabiru says it because she heard people say it often. Nonetheless, I’m a very generous writer, I will take my time to enlighten my readers RECESSION is a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial activity are reduced, generally identified by a fall in GDP in two successive quarters. Mind you, this word is often used in Nigeria because, that is the state’s current situation. 5. DOLLAR: My favorite. It is no news that the current state of the country has brought a huge decline in Naira rate which is 0.0032 US Dollar. The naira to dollar exchange rate though pegging at an official rate of N304 per 1$ but considering black-market it is N407 per 1$ and you say dollar shouldn’t be a popular word in Naija. Presently, Papa Chinonso just came to lend some money from me, guess what my reply was??... So now you see clearly that these words were carefully selected with deep research and observations.

Note: This article was copied from PalmChat WORD a single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing, used with others (or sometimes alone) to form a sentence and typically shown with a space on either side when written or printed. In other words, it is inevitable for humans to portray meanings through sounds without using or combining words. In Nigeria today, can’t help but notice that some words constantly come into the fray such that they’ve held even stronger meaning than they naturally would have and are mostly used to portray anger, fear, Immorality or probably a safe to escape your neighbor’s uncontrollable habits of borrowing. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the most commonly used words by Nigeria in year 2016 1. BUHARI: Let’s begin with the most popular of them all, considering the fact the ever since the present head of state P.M.B had resumed office, lots of huge blows had been thrown at his reign as president. Putting this article together presently, I just overheard an angry fellow chanting BUHARI. If you have doubts that the word portrays anger, it’s simple, just pick the closest bus stop then chant “Change”…contact me if you survive 2. CHANGE: Personally, I was one of the chanters of this word, strongly because I felt we need it. Mind you, no one knows tomorrow, so I personally selected this word because my guts tells me that you chanted it as well. Culled from www.palmchatnow.com Read more below.... ![]()

5. No Female Presence: Why exactly would a grow man that likes “Woman”, who is actually just hanging out with his buddies allow his “Cassava” to showcase it’s talent. Am sure if you are a dude like me, you would understand the message am trying to pass on. So you see? Tekno’s Cassava is a victim of circumstance and should not be blamed for our high expectations. ![]()

3. The Water: Cold water also tends to shrink the size of the male organ, I mean come on! He was just in a pool. You don’t expect his cassava to be charging anyhow when harmattan cold made his cassava shape-shift into a carrot. It’s just not fair. 4. Photo Filters: People, you all know what age of technology we are in presently. I mean, there is absolutely nothing filters can correct, add or erase from pictures these days. So my best guess would be that, he probably use one that reduced the size of his “Cassava”.

Note: This article was copied from palmchat app It is no news now that for quite some time now, the pool picture of the picture of popular pop singer Teckno have gotten more than the predictable attention from adoring female fans. This would not have been a trending issue if he had not advertise that he had a big cassava in his hit song “Pana”. The pool picture was a bit of a shocker to fans who were expecting to see a horsed sized looking “Cassava”. Probably, something definitely went wrong and that, I am writing to prove. Below are five reasons why Tekno’s Cassava wasn’t so disappointing: 1. Poor camera Angle: Owing to the poor skill of the photographer, maybe the best angle to showcase the full glory of his cassava was not caught. This we know because everything is just camera, and if you have not seen it yourself in its full size, who are you to judge? 2. The Swimming Trunk: Basically, I believe the swimming trunk he’s putting on is very tight and there is a 100% tendency that the “Cassava’s” full glory wasn’t materializing. This I know for sure because I am a man just like him. Culled from www.palmchatnow.com Read more below...
