Politics / Why Peter Obi Can Not Be Presidents In 2023 by chokoman(m): 7:44pm On Feb 16, 2023 |
WHY PETER OBI CAN NOT BE PRESIDENT IN 2023 By Musa Omachoko Matthew The argument has been that one of the greatest challenges before Obi presidential ambition, is the fact that the Political Party he represents, The Labour Party, has no formidable political structure within the Nigerian political Strata from ‘Toff to Bottum’. From records available since the inception of a ceaseless Democratic practice in Nigeria especially the Presidency, the personality of a candidate is not enough to win him the poll nor his level of competency, oratory skills etc but the Party. A good example is the Analogy of PDP who held power since 1999 not until 2015 when the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) struck a merger and had a formidable structure before they could dismantle the PDP from ‘tuff to bottum’. but even at that, the PDP has remained a formidable opposition giving the APC a close marking at all times because of the caliber of persons in the party so again, the personality of the candidate is not just a enough but the Political Party and the caliber of persons in the Party. The above has been my position for days why Obi’s ambition can’t be Obidient to him. But the above is not the Challenge! No!!! It’s not. THE PEOPLE ARE THE CHALLENGE You and I are the challenges to a new and better Nigeria. Peter Obi is not a Magician but from the current situation of the Country and the caliber of persons contesting with him, he is the best among all and we all know it within our mind but our history as a people and our reactions to choosing a leader to represent us has always been based on sentiments on tribe, religion and cohesion through material and monetary things. Even away from Peter Obi; When the People come together, they is no Government they cannot change but would they, when the people lack one voice? When will the people vote for the right man for the job without being sentimental? From the history before us from our elections, the people rarely defend their votes after casting into the ballot box. On the day of election, the people vote for the highest bidder and the one who shares the highest sum of money The people when voting do not vote for competency but for party logos and Kobos The people are fickle minded and easily coerced to taking decisions that are not of their own. The People only cares about their immediate interest and not that of the long run. The people do not know the difference between their need and their want rather they miss it up and demand their wants while abandoning their needs which would be bought by Naira with Two heads that is not even better than one. The people even though having a common problem and being fully aware of it and it’s common solution, proffer different solution knowing fully well that it would not work. Religion has blinded the people so also has region, ethic group and tribe. The people are deceitful They are like a mob When a real challenge beacons, they scamper and hide and if you think you are their messiah when you turn back, they had already deserted you. The Challenges standing before a new Nigeria, are her people The Challenge is me and you and until we change, We would never move forward. |

NO GIRL IS TOO YOUNG TO BREAK YOUR HEART. She told me that if I ever leave her she'll never be happy with me. That she has given me her heart that I should take care of it and love her whole heartedly. These I did with utmost sincerity and loved her like my life depended on it. It all started when I sighted her picture on Facebook I was delighted and said within me, this is my girl. I reached out to her we got talking and we became very close. She was genuine, cos she called me on her own and we spent lots of minutes talking on the phone. Something you don't normally get from just a friend you met barely a week ago. I already fell in love and made my intentions known to her and after few weeks of really getting much more closer, she agreed to be my girl. One thing I didn't mention was that she was still in a Boarding House and already into her final Exams she was 18 and I was already in my year 3 at the Uni. I really meant well for her and not to take advantage of her. Perfect match for marriage. I had already thought about how we are going to live happily ever after. I was so much in love with her. I loved her with all of my heart after giving me assurance that she was never gonna leave but rather I was the one who would. She told me that if I ever do, she was never going to be happy with me. Long story short, she went back to school and we lost communication which is expected for any one in a boarding house. but I believed we had something genuinely rooted and without my communications to water it, it will not wither away. Only if I had known. Crying... She came back the next holiday and never bother telling me. Unlike her, she'll message and call me but she never did. WHY? She had already fallen in love with her School Teacher in school who had promised to marry her. She didn't tell me this imediately, untill after a long while of consistently asking her what were my offences. I was heart broken for real but I truly love her from the purest part of my heart. I cried within my heart and I went hollow after passing through this so much sorrow. I read the book of Lamentations morning and night. I hated her but it couldn't hold water cos I still loved her. Heart breaks indeed really hurts. What are your heart break experience? Kindly share. - Musa Omachoko Matthew 1 Like

Politics / The Hypocrisy Of Man. by chokoman(m): 3:58pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
THE HYPOCRISY OF MAN. Truly life is not balanced as they say, it works in your favour today and tomorrow it doesn't no matter the efforts, struggle and sleepless nights you put into it. Now here's the twist; When things works in your favour, when you make 2 calls and things get done for You without following due process or passing through protocol, when you know somebody that knows somebody that also knows many bodies you say you are HIGHLY CONNECTED and truly, having connections is the fastest way to actualise a purpose or a goal you tend to achieve even though your league of connections may not be doing it according to the constituted authority but as long as if favours you, ba ‘damua’ 'na God win', 'God no go shame us’. Now lemme open up something; According to Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1966, Corruption is the ABUSE, MISUSE AND DISUSE OF POWER. This includes; acceptance of gratification; succumbing to inducement and undue influence; embezzlement; conflict of interests, for example, the award of contracts by public office holders to cronies, family members, and personally held companies; bribery; fraud; nepotism and tribalism in recruitment appointment, promotion; kickback on contract; rigging of elections; misappropriation and conversion of public funds for personal gains; procurementscam; leaking tender information to friends and relations; diversion and misappropriation of funds through manipulation or falsification of financial records; payment for favorable judicial decisions, and so on Nepotism has become the bane of the Nigerian System. 'na my own na my person' won't let the qualified ones get into positions and who cares?!. at least you are giving your family and friends the jobs and contract meant for the whole country so you are really doing well according to those close to you cos it favours them and we proudly call it CONNECTION. After all, God uses man to bless man so, isn't our God a good God?!. Now the twist; When this whole processes above doesn't favour you or your connections isn't strong enough to maneuver ways for you to get your intent done you start shouting KWARUPTION, OJORO, NA DEM DEM. Meanwhile if you get that same Opportunity you'll do even worse. No wonder it's being said that, the numbers of people waiting to steal in this country is even more than those currently stealing. See our Youths, they are More concerned about money than service. Common school Politics they have resulted into all manners of over invoicing of little projects. They are quick to give awards to politicians because of the money they want to get. No wonder few awards have values now as it's Now Been sold and politicised. After all these being said, as far as it favours me and you, we never agree it is corruption but connection and divine Grace from the most high God in Heaven. Hallelujah. The Hypocrisy of Man. Health / Don't Touch Your Eyes, Mouth And Nose–the Reality. by chokoman(m): 11:00am On Mar 25, 2020 |
DON'T TOUCH YOUR EYES, MOUTH AND NOSE–THE REALITY By Musa Omachoko Matthew It's no longer news that another prevention measures to help curb the spread of the Covid-19 is by not using unwashed hands to touch your Eyes, Nose and Mouth. This means; when your Eyes scratches you, you'll have to wait until you Wash your hands before you can scratch back. It also means no nose picking especially for the professional nose pickers who can't stay minutes without picking their Nose–i wonder if they pick Dollars from there. In addition it also means; no more using your hands as salvet, napkin or mouth towel when you eat, it also means no more the usual feeling of your lips with your hands just to check if its still soft or not. How bout those who use their hands to touch their tongue to get it wet so as to fast count money?!! The reality; Scratching of the eyes most times happens on reflexes, you don't even know when you'll start scratching the hell out of it after all it could get so comfortable and sweet too. For nose picking, well it's controllable but some has been picking dollars from it since childhood and already it's s lifestyle. They Mine Gold and Diamond from it after all, it does contain Rocks that needed be chisel out with the Hands. Touching of the Mouth at least is controllable cos you can't just start putting Ur hands in your mouth except cases of using your hands to wipe that water that still drips within your jaw and lips when you drink water or the likes, clean oil after eating and the likes and also some reflex using of your hands to check your lips well I know the tongue does it better but then it also means no using of your tongue to wet your Hands to fast count Money. What can we actually do and not falter this cases and stay safe especially when you are already immuned to some certain actions especially the SCRATCHING OF THE EYES. The Way Forward; Just try your best, and observe the measures, train your mind and you can overcome the reflexes. Also Try to be with tissue papers so that when it scratches you, you can actually Scratch back when in areas where washing of hands is impossicant or totally avoid scratching, avoid nose picking for now, the diamonds you are mining from the rock won't run. And the most effective one is, STAY AT HOME To be continued 25/3/2020 2 Likes

Health / Covid-19 And The Reality Of Keeping Social Distance by chokoman(m): 7:39am On Mar 24, 2020 |
COVID-19 AND THE REALITY OF KEEPING SOCIAL DISTANCE - A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA TOP TEN BIGGEST AND CROWDED MARKET PLACE By Musa Omachoko Matthew One of the precautionary measures to take so as not to contact the The Covid-19 also known as Corona Virus is to keep social Distance of about 1 Metres from the other person and For this to be achievable, then there must be avoidance of crowed Areas where standing within 1 Metres from the other person can't be achievable. Now our markets; Nigeria markets are known for its crowdiness, Rowdiness, Giant size and non orderliness where you'll have to push me while I push you too just to pass within the market which isbextremely exhausting and in this scenario, 1 Metres of Distancing is not achievable as it's a total self rubbing of one self on the other just to make your way in and out of these markets. This Market Just to mention a few includes; 1. Onitsha Main Market – Anambra 2. Oshodi Market – Lagos 3. Balogun Market – Lagos 4. Ariaria International Market, Aba – Abia 5. Alaba International Market – Lagos 6. Idumota Market –Lagos 7. Kurmi Market – Kano 8. Ogbete Main Market – Enugu 9. Oja-Oba)Orita Merin Market, Ibadan –Oyo 10. Oil Mill Market, Portharcourt – Rivers If you have been to any of these markets before I believe you clearly understand the pictures I'm trying to paint. What of computer village in Ikeja, Mile 12, Oyingbo, Balogun market Etc among other many markets even in our own Areas where we all lives?. You can agree with me that, places like this is where this virus can actually spread, spread, & spread as much as it wants. The reality is; It's hard keeping social distance cos, people will still go out there to look for money, cos no money no food and no food it's surely a person's end and you can't isolate your self home when you don't have enough money and food to go round. You Just must go out there to look for money. To be continued. 23/3/2020 #TheReality #Covid19 #Socialdistance

NIGERIA HAS REALLY CHANGED!!! How can you say Nigeria hasn't changed for the better when The Nigeria Army Now gift Road transport workers i.e Commercial Drivers Money on the road!. Isn't that a real Strange-Change? Over the years what we know off and are mostly aware of is the Nigeria police who gifts Drivers 20-50 naira on the road in case the Driver might buy snacks for his children on the road and sometimes it does result to fight and even lost of lives if the police refuses to gift the Drivers the usual 20-50 naira as the Drivers can Harass the Police man. Fast forward to this present days the Nigerian army has also followed cue in indulging in this Gifting practices Usually done by the Nigeria police. And the beauty of theirs is that there will even tell a driver to go and park his car and come and collect his gift from them starting from the Sum of one hundred naira and above and another surprising thing is that the Driver can even tell the Soldier man that anything less than 200 he won't collect and even if the Soldier man tells the Driver he has no change, The driver can tell the soldier man that even if its a 1 million naira change he has it and any further Argument is culpable of Drilling. Nigerians would be forever grateful to the Nigerian Army for their patriotism to The country and their Countless years of sacrifices to keep the Sovereignty of this Great nation in one accord, it is indeed The greatest sacrifice to one's nation. But this new trend which has existed since few years back, that the Nigerian Army Will be EXTORTING DRIVERS does not Really correlates with The uniform. The Nigerian Army are meant to safe guard lives and property through the Protection of States Sovereignty of which they have being doing for ages but this Open Extortion of Road Transport Workers is very very degrading and Drags the NIGERIAN ARMY into the MUD. Has Nigeria not Really changed? ©Musa Omachoko Matthew |
