It's actually not true.
It's stated clearly. It's indicated as "other names" - exactly the way it is on your passport. That's the institution but it's not something to worry about.

Passport expiration is always on your birthday on the 5th year of the passport if your passport carries 5yrs exp. date.

Eg. If you applied for passport (5yrs) in April and was issued to you same April, 2021 and your birthday is in 30 december, that means your passport will expiry 30 december 2026.

Anything not stated on your passport is wrong pls.

not everyone gets collection slip. Most times, if they give hand written note(mainly just the enrollment number will be on it) it means they av issues verifying your NIN at that moment (doesn't necessarily mean your NIN has issues, just that they are unable to verify at that moment).
#DIY I asked about when I did mine and the lady that did my capturing at Ikoyi explained.
If there is enough booklet at the centre, it will be ready in max 2weeks

You can confirm the status of your passport with that.

If you enrolled at Alausa or Ikoyi, make out time and visit the immigration offices next week Thursday and check the status of your enrollment. Few Booklets are available and more are still being produced

I have been monitoring dates in Abuja for some weeks now. I saw it move from June to August. Earliest date as at this morning is Aug 10th.

Is it possible for me to pick any available August date when I get my I-20 and reschedule to an earlier date like June/July (if more slots get opened up hopefully).?

You either work with the given date or go for an emergency date. But when's your program start date? Consider that too

You either book an emergency appointment date (a closer date) or you ask your school to send an extension letter, probably one week extension. With the extension letter, you can present it to the VO when asked

If you can get your visa within 2days, and try the next day, then no problem but the feasibility is not always there.
