THEME: HOW ARE YOU FULFILLING YOUR MINISTRY?

TEXT: JOSHUA 1:1-5.
1. Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

2. Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

3. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

4. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

5. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

MEMORY VERSE: And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. COLOSSIANS 4:17.

MESSAGE:
Every born again Christian has an assignment God has given him or her to fulfill as his or her ministry in the course of the person's Christian journey. In our text above, God commissioned Joshua to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land. In the course of this assignment he led the people in the prosecution of several battles against the original occupants of the land. Most of the kingdoms were eliminated from the face of the earth. Joshua fulfilled that herculean task, apportioned the land to the tribes of Israelites. They all settled and he retired.

At the conversion of Saul christened Apostle Paul, God's instruction to him was to carry the gospel to the gentiles and the rich. As a lawyer who had been moving with the elitist group in the society he was at home taking the gospel to them with ease. In the memory verse, Apostle Paul writing to the Colossian church told Archippus to adhere to the ministry God has given him and ensure its fulfilment.
At the conversion of every child of God there is always a ministry given to him. Apart from the working in the vineyard of God, every born again Christian is given to the ministry of evangelism. He is to bring souls to the kingdom of God. That makes the person a worker in the vineyard of God
Apostle Paul was given the ministry of reaching the Gentiles while Peter was given to reach the Jews and they were obedient to their ministry. What is your own ministry, are you fulfilling it?

PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God to use you to the best of your ability.
Pray that God should bless your effort of evangelism.

THEME: THE KING'S BUSINESS NEEDS URGENT EXECUTION.

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 21:8
8. And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.

MEMORY VERSE: Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands. EZRA 5:8

MESSAGE:
Whosoever wants to do the work of God must not introduce the application of delay or procrastination into it. As far as the work of God is concerned, delay is dangerous. For two reasons, no one knows what will happen to the life of the person you want to reach out to in the next minute, again, you do not know when the rapture will take place. Anytime an opportunity presents itself for the preaching of the gospel to anyone there is no need for hesitation. If you are in position to do anything for your own Christian life, do not delay. I know of a lady who one evangelist wanted to preach the gospel to on one particular day and the lady refused to listen, she did not even allow the man to talk at all. Eventually the evangelist was able to tell her that Jesus loves her and that she should repent from her sins and give her life to Jesus. She made Jest of the man of God and asked him to go.

The next morning, she still saw the same evangelist preaching the gospel but she refused to listen. While she was waiting to board a bus to go to market that morning, a car hit her and zoomed off. She died on the spot without receiving Christ. This is one of the things delay brings to an individual. The moment someone breathes his last, his own rapture has taken place because he or she has no other opportunity of repentance or amending his or her ways. The period of grace for a dead person is over. There is no repentance in the grave.
Again, If there is anything you can do for the gospel to progress and save souls, do it urgently as you are preparing for the rapture and by the grace of God you will be blessed here on earth and make heaven at last.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that God should kill every spirit of delay in your life.

Pray for the grace to amend your ways.

THEME: UNTIL THE DEVIL IS CHAINED AT THE BOTTOMLESS PIT, GOSPEL PREACHING CONTINUES

TEXT: JAMES 4:7.
7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will will flee from you.

MEMORY VERSE: Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27

MESSAGE:
The battle over conversion of souls rages on. It is a battle of life and death. In this mother of all wars, people in the camp of God fight against the people in the camp of the devil. Each camp is battling doggedly for the conversion of the soul of human beings on earth.

In this spiritual battle, unusual weaponry is employed as instrument of salvation and that of destruction. In the camp of God, the instrument is the gospel of the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind while the devil and his cohorts have nothing but deceit, lies and afflictions which eventually lead to hell fire.

In order to checkmate this wicked mission of the devil and his agents, the redeemed people, chosen for this invaluable task must not rest on their oars in the prosecution of the war against the devil by relentlessly preaching the gospel season and out of season. It is in this manner the devil could be chained forever.

We can increase our rate of preaching in the morning. Early morning preaching is a double edge sword that cuts in two ways. It touches the sinners and makes them repent of their sins and also disturbs the operations of the agents of the kingdom of darkness. Several testimonies attest to the fact that anytime a true child of God is preaching in the morning, the agents of the devil are kept in check. Their operations are suspended as long as the preaching lasts.
Again, if you engage in midnight prayers, the operations of the devil and his agents are equally suspended as long as the praying lasts.
I will therefore encourage you to engage In activities that will frustrate the devil and God in His own way will bless you.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray for the strength and courage to engage in activities that will frustrate the devil and his cohorts.
Ask God to give you divine protection as you do His work.

THEME: WHEN YOU SEEK GOD HE WILL DEFEND & HONOUR YOU.

TEXT: JEREMIAH 29:13-14.
13. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

MEMORY VERSE: Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:30

MESSAGE:
Our God is faithful to the people that seek and trust in Him. There is nobody that has served God without getting handsome reward. God demands complete attention from us His children. When any of His creation offers Him unshared loyalty, He blesses and honours the person.

In the Bible days, Abraham served God and God in turn blessed him in all things. Job served God with all his heart and God blessed him to the extent that the later days of his life was more prosperous than the former

Daniel an Israelite captive in Babylon sought God and served Him with all his heart. He served God even when there was a decree and death sentence hanging on his neck. When he was eventually thrown into the lion's den God protected and defended him that hungry lions in the den did not touch him. He was brought out and God honoured him in Babylon

Again, the three Hebrew young men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego sought God, honoured God and refused to give God's glory to man- made image. When they were thrown into a burning fiery furnace, God defended and protected them and honoured them before king Nebuchadnezzar and the entire people of Babylon.
In our text above, God said that whoever seeks Him will find Him. The people made reference to above sought Him at different times and they all found Him.
In the memory verse, God said He will honour whoever that honours Him.
Seek God, serve and honour Him. He, God will defend you, protect, and honour you.

PRAYER POINTS
Pray for an opportunity to prove that you love God and are prepared to serve Him.

Pray for God's honour.

THEME: HOW PREPARED ARE YOU FOR THE RAPTURE?

TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16-17
16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17.Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

MEMORY VERSE: And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. REVELATIONS 22:12.

MESSAGE:
The nearness of the rapture of the saints is the thrust of the message of many heavenly conscious preachers who also want their congregation to make heaven through rapture. The importance of the rapture to Christians should no longer be over-emphasized because that is the main purpose of our service to God. The rapture is going to take place once and whoever fails to be raptured at the sound of the trumpet has missed heaven forever. This will be unfortunate but God forbid that anyone using this devotional will miss heaven.

However, how prepared are you to prevent the unfortunate happening? The journey to hell fire has no returning route hence it must not be embarked on at all. Do you still enjoy the company of the unbeliever? You share table with them while they drink alcohol and smoke cigarette. You perceive the odour of the alcohol and inhale the smoke from the tobacco. If rapture takes place while in that condition, you may not make it. You do business with your Christian brother and because you are in control of the facilities used for the business, you use the money for another business and keep on postponing giving your partner his own share of the profit cithe transactions
You find easy to borrow money or buy things on credit but you find it diffcuit to pay as you promised. All these will be a hindrance if the trumpet should sound. It is important to be ever ready for the rapture so that you do not miss out.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray for the wisdom to always examine yourself.

THEME: THERE IS NO MORE TIME, RAPTURE IS AT HAND.

TEXT: JOEL 3:14-16
14. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

15. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

MEMORY VERSE. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none. 1 CORINTHIANS 7:29

MESSAGE:
Time waits for no one. Time equally flies like wind and any time lost is never gained back. It is on this basis that we do not need to waste any time in doing the things of God. From various indications, based on Biblical predictions, the rapture of the saints is likely going to take place very soon hence Christians need to hasten up in the area of evangelism and in their preparation for the rapture.

In the text above, the Bible made us to understand that there are multitudes of people confused on whether to repent to serve God or not. Should the rapture take place, these confused multitudes sitting in the fence will all go to hell fire.

In order to save these multitudes from perishing, evangelistic efforts need to be doubled to ensure that these multitudes hear the gospel and accept Christ at the same time. There are people waiting to be spoken to several times before they can repent. It is for the benefits of these people that efforts need to be doubled in preaching the gospel.
Again on our individual basis, as Christians we need to examine and reexamine our lives in the preparation for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for the rapture of the saints.

The memory verse is telling us not to allow whatever we have to be a hindrance to our preparation for the rapture and the work of God. There is no time, be ready for the rapture now.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that nothing should derail you in your preparation for the rapture.

Pray that God should touch as many people as you preach to and make them repent of their sins.

THEME: THE OLD NATURE MUST BE KILLED AT REPENTANCE

TEXT: 2 CORlNTHlANS 5:17
17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

MEMORY VERSE: JOHN 1:5.

MESSAGE:
The old nature of any human being is the Adamic nature that is prone to committing sins of all kinds ranging from disobedience to God's instruction to fornication and adultery down to heresy. Depending on the area of the sin an individual continues in wrong doing until he or she encounters our Lord Jesus Christ. As stated in the text above, the moment one encounters Christ and accepts Him as Lord and saviour, repents of all his sins, the spirit of God takes over the person's life. The old nature inhabiting the heart of wickedness is subdued and new nature of Christ takes over.

In the memory verse, the Bible says that the light shines in darkness and darkness comprehends it not The reference to the light here is the representation of the spirit of God. All these Bible references point to the fact that any man who has encountered Christ does not remain the same. There must be total transformation.

It is therefore surprising seeing a Christian church worker shouting down at his fellow worker at the slightest provocation. The same provocation leads them to beat or fight their Christian brother.
They proffer flimsy excuse of being hot tempered. Many will advance that it is their nature hence their inability to drop such behaviour on repentance.
Our text above is telling us that any man that is in Christ is a new creature and old nature has passed away and everything about the person becomes new.

Whoever still retains his or her old nature of exhibition of pride, fighting either in the public or in the bedroom, talking any how to people not minding whether the person is hurt by his words or not is yet to encounter Christ and has no basis laying claim to being a Christian.
The word Christian means Christ-like hence any born again Christian must strive to be like Christ, this will give him the opportunity of making heaven and reigning with Christ in heaven.

Pray for total transformation of your life.
Pray that God should shape your behaviour to give glory to Christ.

THEME: BE CAREFUL FOR YOUR ETERNAL LIFE

TEXT: LUKE 12:2-5
2.For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

MESSAGE:
As the hours and days count and pass by, everyone of us is drawing closer and closer to the day of accountability and to eternal life. Every word we speak as well as their accompanying actions counts to what determines where one spends one's eternal life. It is on this background that we are expected to be focused on our race to eternal life and be careful and mindful of everything we do on this planet earth.

In our text above, the Bible made us to understand that there is nothing done in the secret that will not be exposed on the last day, the day of accountability. It is not what you do in the open especially when you are in the church that forms the basis for the judgment on the last day rather all actions and inactions both in the open and in the closet. It is possible to commit fornication or adultery and still come out to preach against it in the open. It is also possible to stay in your bedroom and drink one or two bottles without anybody knowing it. One may keep malice and still attend vigils and services because men may not know but God knows and all will be made open on the last day. We should be careful and fear God who has power to cast one into hell fire. It is the enemy that leads us into sin hence we should not give him chance at all.

In the memory verse, God identified the Amalekites as the enemies of the Israelites hence He asked them to crush the Amalekites. Do not give the enemy any chance in your life. The trumpet may soon sound.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that God will help you not to fall to the deceit of the devil to commit sin.
Pray for the power to always resist the devil.

MESSAGE:
The only factor under the heaven that is constant which directly or indirectly impacts on human lives is change. Positive changes take place in human beings as long as he or she lives. Fruitfulness and multiplication is part of change in human beings. It is God Himself that ordered that as human beings serving as His representatives on earth, we should continuously bear fruits and multiply so as to control the other creatures and dominate them effectively.

As long as we are living as children of God, we should grow in spirit, size and wealth. These tripartite changes changes must be present in the life of any living human.

Spiritual growth occurs as one becomes genuinely repented of one's sins, he or she becomes attentive to the things of God by receiving the word of God in order to grow in the knowledge of God. Again the person puts the word of God into practice by preaching to the sinners and winning them for Christ. In the course of this evangelism work, souls are credited into his account in heaven.

While your accounts grow in heaven God will supply you with the things needed to keep the body and soul together. When you have access to resources, you will be happy hence you grow in good health through God's blessings.

MESSAGE:
God is everything in man, without Him, you can do nothing. Whoever you are and whatever you are, is by God's enablement. Unfortunately many people do not realize this. Some people think that they are what they are by their power, wisdom or education. King Nebuchadnezzar thought that Babylon was great by his power and so he was puffed up and spoke thus-

"The King spake and said, is not this great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?... (Dan 4:30-31)", While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven saying" O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; the kingdom is departed from thee."
Of course, you know the rest of the story. Immediately God spoke in verse 31 of Dan 4, king Nebuchadnezzar was driven into the bush where he spent seven years eating grasses like lower animals. Child of God, I want you to understand that God is the author and finisher of your life. Therefore, whatever position you attain in life or whoever you are, all are by the grace of God. Some of you have been stripped of your position because of pride like Nebuchadnezzar.

In our text above, God wants you to understand that He is the vine, while you are the branch. Without the vine, the branch cannot survive or succeed. And so you need to always abide in God so that you will always succeed or maintain your position.

Apostle Paul is saying in our memory verse that he is what he is by the grace of God. Truly whenever a man recognizes the grace of God upon his life, such a man will not make mistake because he will attribute all glory to God knowing that what he is, is by the grace of God. I counsel you through this devotional today to recognize that you cannot do without God and whatever you are, is by His grace.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that you will never abuse the grace of God in your life.

Pray that you will always abide with God.

MESSAGE:
Whom God has determined to bless a man, no being or power can turn Him back. The enemy may try to be a hindrance but God will uproot him in order to bless you.

When God determined to bless the Israelites, Balak tried all he could to use Balaam to curse the children of Israel but it was not possible Number 23:11, 21 "And Balak said unto Balaam, what hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. "

Once you maintain holiness no man can curse you. God will fight all your known and unknown battles. The Israelites of old did not know that Balaam was laying a curse on them through Balak but because they were righteous at that time, God was fighting for them and resisting Balaam from cursing them. Brethren, I want you to understand that if you please the Lord, He will ever make your enemies to be at peace with you

Note: The God you are serving is God of righteousness and if you can maintain righteousness always, you might not need to fight any battle because He will always be fighting for you and blessing you from all angles. Because Numbers 23 19 "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?". Whatever blessing God has pronounced, He Will surely bring it upon you.

Command every curse the enemy has placed upon you to go back to the sender.

WHEN Hassan Abba left Kano aboard a Lagos-bound trailer his mission was not to seek healing for his physical disability. He was born cripple about 21 years ago. He was just born with both hind limbs fully formed but were not functional. For over 20 years, he had crawled on his tommy in all manner of places and to avoid accidental injuries he had made leather pads which he wore as shoes and and strapped around his body parts exposed to danger.

Last Sunday afternoon, Hassan Abba was dressed in a black stripped short-sleeve shirt and Khaki trouser with left leg folded to the knee. He had lived all his life begging for alms at bus stops and at gatherings where people would notice him and either give him food or some money.

He had pitched his tent at a strategic location at the just concluded “From Sorrow to Joy” crusade of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Renewal Ministry at the church’s headquarters hoping to take advantage of the huge crowd of worshippers to make some money.

But at about 3.30 p.m. when the General Overseer of the ministry, Pastor Lazarus Muoka started his ministration and praying for the sick and the afflicted, Hassan Abba, in utter astonishment, suddenly rose to his feet. Initially, the feet, especially the left one could not carry him, but with share determination borne out of bewilderment, he kept walking.

Asked to give his testimony, Hassan Abba who could not speak a word in English language, simply muttered some words in Hausa that he had come to beg for alms, but after such a miraculous feat, he would not beg again.

A surprise survivor of the Inter Corp Oil Limited Gas plant, a subsidiary of Chikason Group explosion that claimed many lives and property at Nnewi in Anambra State on Christmas eve, Mr. Ndubuisi Anasobi’s testimony was simply shocking and amazing. While explaining his ordeal to the mammoth crowd of worshippers last Sunday, Anasobi who joined the church in 2004, shed tears, considering what he went through, still dazed by the realization that he was alive to recount the experience.

According to him, he had visited the affected Gas Plant after moments of hesitation, to refill his gas cylinder on that fateful day in his Toyota Camry car only to discover that, there was a huge crowd of persons preparing for the Christmas. After spending some quality time without being attended to, he decided to leave as though he was hearing a voice, but had to return the cylinder and exercise some patience.

“On getting there, I joined the queue, waiting for my turn. After spending some time, I decided to leave. I even brought my gas cylinder out from the queue and put it in my car to go, but a thought came to me, and I went to put it back again on the queue and stayed back to wait like others, because next day was Christmas and I needed to do the gas refilling for my wife to cook,” he narrated.

As they all waited to be attended to, the explosion occurred at about 2.00 p.m. and he recalled seeing people running hecta skelter for their lives.

“Immediately the explosion occurred, we knew there was danger and everyone started to find a way of escape. Unfortunately, running out of the gas plant was not easy due to congestion. There was a stampede and gas cylinders fell on so many people. In fact, no one knew the direction to go as a result of thick smoke. As a member of Chosen, I kept on shouting God of Chosen take control and save me. I did not know how I struggled out of the premises to the road, because I was partially blind and could not see anything any longer. While I was running, I fell down and the fire caught up with me, but I continued calling on the God of Chosen. I laid flat, faced the ground and covered my face with one hand, because I didn’t want to see how I was going to die,” he said.

Our attention was drawn to a recent article published online about a Pastor of the Lord's Chosen resident in Tanzania alleged with drug trafficking who was jailed for 30 years. We hereby bring to your notice that the so called Okechukwu Chukwudi is not a Pastor of the Lord's Chosen. The Online Media of the church just had a chat with the National Pastor in Tanzania (Pastor Stephen Saint) who clearly stated that there is no such pastor in the Lord's Chosen. "We've gone through our records and the name making waves with the news is not a Pastor of the church" Drug trafficking is against the ethics of the church and our general overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka makes it plain to all and sundry during every service that God frowns at such.

The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries hereby wants the general public and our members to disregard the story and claims of Okechukwu Chukwudi being a Chosen Pastor. It is false and is the enemies of the church perpetrating this evil to tarnish the image of the church.
