Religion / Re: Self-proclaimed Christian Man Robs His Own Parents by chowbaby: 12:49am On Sep 25, 2011
@Hischild Exactly what will we see?  Please fully explain what we are going to see!!

According to you and your fearless leader Harold Camping, as a way to not admit to being wrong, the May 21 judgment day which you predicted would cause earthquakes all over the world, was according to you and harold, after taking a few days to come up with a convenient excuse, was actually in fact silent.  So we did not "see" anything.  Will the end of the world that you and Harold Camping are predicting on October 21 also be silent?  If so, what will we see then?

I actually feel sorry for you.  You are caught in some type of cult or mental state that you cannot shake.  It is sad.  Life is to be enjoyed not to live in misery counting down each day to the end.  Nothing is coming that is any different than what has already happened.  It is called, THE WEATHER, we have earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis.  It happens.  Please stop with the nonsense.  You have not showed us anything except that you are easily misled and you do not know how to think for yourself.  That is what we will see on October 21.

@joyuchesun Are there any updates on how the parents are doing?  Did this act leave them destitute?
Religion / Re: Why Are Christians Afraid Of The Comet Elenin? by chowbaby: 4:19pm On Sep 23, 2011
I have not heard about this comet.
Religion / Re: Self-proclaimed Christian Man Robs His Own Parents by chowbaby: 6:30am On Sep 23, 2011
@nodogma All jokes aside, usually when someone does something as terrible as stealing from a parent, they usually go crazy afterwards.  The guilt is too much.  It is an unthinkable thing to do.  I could never do anything against my parents.  What ever happened to getting a job and earning one's own money.  This kid definitely had a false sense of entitlement.
Religion / Re: God’s Righteous Judgment On The Churches For Apostasy by chowbaby: 3:20am On Sep 23, 2011
@Hischild What a lunatic!  May you reap all of the confusion, pain, and lies that you have sowed!  We await your foolish response after October 21.  But we know you will go into hiding as you did after May 21 and come back with a new OP name after Harold Camping instructs you on what to say.  Hopefully, you will just stop, you do not even realize the damage you do with this nonsense.  God's judgment is upon you!
Religion / Re: Self-proclaimed Christian Man Robs His Own Parents by chowbaby: 4:11pm On Sep 22, 2011
@HISchild None of us would be shocked if you were the one who stole this enormous amount of money from your parents and is living on it and justifies your actions through the bible.  That would be the icing on the cake of your hypocrisy.  Are you using the stolen money to pay for the internet to write about how righteous you are?  If so, I am sure you have justified it through your bible quotes.  You seem to be able to justify anything with that book of yours.

You write, "my point in my initial response was that we cannot profess to belong to GOD and continue in sin and unrighteousness, we then become liars."  Well then clearly you are a liar and possibly a theif.  Remember you are the author and proponent of May 21 is Judgment Day.  A false prophesy.  So therefore, you are a liar.  You think we have forgotten.  There is nothing righteous about you.

Religion / Re: God’s Righteous Judgment On The Churches For Apostasy by chowbaby: 4:00pm On Sep 22, 2011
@HISchild you write "It is not a day of peace for all, but desolation for many. "

Know this and know it clearly that you had a hand in causing some of this desolation.  Do you know how many people lost everything when May 21 did not happen.  Simple minded people who believed the rants of lunatics like you.  They gave away all of their money and possessions thinking Jesus was coming.  Clearly, you still have yours.  Why is that?  Because you are a fraud and truly did not believe what you preached.

The problem with people being told to flee from churches is that it leads to cult like behavior like yours.  Harold Camping has you and the rest of his followers so brainwashed.  Your post is laced with nonsense about the last days.  You are now saying the very last days.  My friend, you are going to be here for quite some time.  Hopefully, in this time, you will reap what you have sowed.

It is not every church that is corrupt, just as it is not every man who is corrupt.

Religion / Re: How Do You Explain Contradictions In The Bible? by chowbaby: 1:36pm On Sep 22, 2011
According to the bible "we" are all children of God. so therefore we should all be able to understand. but this speaks to the point that this book was not written by any God but by man!
Religion / Re: Is There Any Bible Ground Whereby A Man Can Divorce His Wife And Marry Another? by chowbaby: 12:29am On Sep 22, 2011
If you are in an unhealthy, unsafe, or unsalvagable marriage. Get a divorce. You cannot look to the bible. It was written at a different time, when women were looked at differently. It is like consulting a manual about computers from that time, it wouldn't exist.

The books of the bible as you know today were chosen as a form of control for people at that time and are not any inerrant word. This is made clear by the primitive thoughts about women and restrictive unrealistic views of ideas like divorce. For example, at that time women were not seen as equal so to divorce one would put her in harms way. People also did not live as long so the notion of spending one's entire life with the same person was not so difficult when life ended at 30 years old instead of 90 or 100. There is much more evidence of where the bible stories and all come from. Facts you should research unless you choose to just follow blindly.

@pastorkun what exactly do you mean?
Religion / Re: Self-proclaimed Christian Man Robs His Own Parents by chowbaby: 5:21pm On Sep 21, 2011
The other answer to your question, Christians have no accountability!!

It occurred to me recently that while Christians are often the ones to tell a nonbeliever that he/she can have no moral code without the god of the bible, they are really the ones who have no reason to be moral. Their doctrine asserts that as long as one believes in christ as the way to god, they will go to heaven.

I have a few Christian friends who believe "Once saved/Always saved." Regardless, the notion that Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven, is a belief that gives them no reason to be accountable for anything at all. It's permission to do whatever to whomever and not have to feel guilty. A few well placed tears to appease and all is forgiven. If this is the worst punishment, then why not lie, steal, cheat, and so forth? Typically I have found the the remorse is shortlived and it's off to satisfy the old lusts of the flesh again.

Nonbelievers, however, tend to realize that it's this life that matters, because it's the only one. Nonbelievers (for the most part), I think, are more appreciative of this life and what it really means when a person does pass away. We strive to be kind in this life because it makes us feel good and makes those around us feel good.

I will bet anything that he became "born-again" after he stole the money, got caught, and could not pay it back.  Why do you think so many convert in prison.  It is not that they feel bad, it is a convenient thing to do.  This guy sounds like a sociopath.  To steal from one's own parents?  That is just unthinkable.

To answer your question, there are many good people who do not need the Bible to be good.  And there are many bad people who hide behind the bible.

kenny1st:

I don't know why people still tune in to this man. Even jesus doesn't know the day how come camping does ? I guess this man is talking about his own end time you know he's very old now,

What is really interesting is that Harold Camping had a stroke and is in a nursing home. It has been kept very quiet by his followers. However, had it happened to anyone else, they would have said it is God's wrath for his false prophesies. Hypocrisy at its best!

WOW! This is where that person @HISchild or @HISservant is getting his information. He is a member of this family radio cult, now it makes sense. This information is so absurd, it baffles my mind how any person with half a brain would believe it.
Religion / Re: How Can We Call Him A Loving And Merciful God, When He Clearly Is Not? by chowbaby: 3:18pm On Aug 29, 2011
@Hischild No, you ignore everything that is said to you.  Any thing that makes any sense you throw away and quote useless scripture.  According to you, your God will be giving some kind of wrath against sin.  That is not loving or merciful.  Because he created us, created our sin nature as you state, created our desires, placed the items here for us to sin with, created doubt, created unbelief, created all bad things.  So, what is he punishing us for? What are we begging him for?  He knew what would happen since he is all knowing.  The real world is too much of a scary place for you, so you can hide in your belief of some merciful entity that you have to beg and plead with.  But, reality is always so much better than fantasy.
Religion / Re: The Anticipation Of Jesus Is Holding Us Back: He Isn't Coming! by chowbaby: 7:08pm On Aug 28, 2011
@Hischild  WOW!  You only have a maximum of four months to live!!!!  You must be excited.  Hopefully, you have not made any bad or permanent decisions like not paying bills, burning bridges, and not fulfilling obligations.  Unless you take your own life, you will be here on Jan 1, 2012.  Can't wait to hear from you then. I am sure you will be telling us how "merciful" God was again.   grin

you write "For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth." - Romans 9:28 (i.e. approx 13,000 years of this worlds existence)"

The earth is billions of years old, not 13,000.  Science and facts are your friend, you do not have to live in the fairytale of the Bible.
Religion / Re: How Can We Call Him A Loving And Merciful God, When He Clearly Is Not? by chowbaby: 6:55pm On Aug 28, 2011
@Hischild you are clearly brainwashed.  If someone abusing and hurting you is a sign of love, I would be curious to see what your relationships are like.  You probably are the type that does not get along with your own family and when your name is mentioned no one really has anything good to say about you.  Therefore, a person like you would find a ruthless and cruel God to be merciful and kind because he is made in YOUR image and likeness as you are made in his.  Whatever God a person chooses to believe in is usually closely associated with the type of person that individual is in real life.  So, I would beg to argue that you yourself have done some very cruel things to people but consider yourself kind.

Fundamentalist, extremist Christians are some of the meanest people around, lacking compassion.  When natural disasters happen instead of speaking about those who are impacted doing well, they rejoice in the destruction and death stating that their God is coming.  This is actually quite odd and wicked. If everyone was annihilated in this world and you were sent up to be with your Jesus, you would be so overjoyed.  You are not a kind and compassionate person, but rather one with a sick and evil heart who gains satisfaction from the pain of others as long as you benefit.

In summary, you are a reflection of the God that you think exists.  A wrathful and punishing God.  Look at your own life and I am sure you will see how this is true.  Your fruit in your postings (talk of doom and gloom) are quite a clear example of this.

You are not intelligent enough to look at the deeper message of the person who posted initially and are too afraid of your "merciful" God to think for yourself.  What kind of mental prison is this to live in?  The poster's message is that all you have said in your response, your great ability to cut and paste without thinking, all of that was created by and could be stopped by God.  God knew what Adam would do, because he created him, he is all knowing, so why set Adam up like that.  That is not loving.

Furthermore, if mankind is inherently wicked, that means that this perfect God created an imperfect thing, and is causing us to suffer for his mistake. That is not loving or merciful at all. It is like knowing your child likes to put his finger in a socket and placing his carriage right in front of the socket, then punishing him for putting his finger in it. And then after putting his finger in the socket we should beg our parents for mercy and thank them for forgiveness when they put us there? It makes no sense, but you cannot think that complex, so continue to cut and paste like a zombie.

The poster is not suffering from anything. He or she is quite clear and makes the strongest point for why a belief in a bible based God is foolish. Kudos to Justhappy for this post!

Amazing entry!  This is quite necessary and timely.  With all of the natural disasters that have taken place, the nut jobs are out in full force talking about the end of the world.  Africans must start to remove the noose of Christianity that was placed on them during colonization and learn to think for themselves.  I thank you so much for taking the time to write this.  The person you spoke of named Hisservant is still here posting crap.  But because of the coward the he clearly is he never came back to address the false messages he spread regarding May 21 and the aftermath of the lives he destroyed.  Instead, he has changed his name to Hischild and continues to write his misinformed and destructive posts.

Thank you for this.  I hope everyone reads it and understands.
Religion / Re: Nigeria: Where Religion Is Big Business by chowbaby: 2:49am On Aug 25, 2011
@HISchild your entire belief in God seems to be purely based in fear. Fear of an impending doom, an imminent coming of Jesus, a judgment day, the world ending soon, etc. It seems quite opportunisitic and strange. Your posts do not inspire hope or joy, but instead are quite dogmatic and seem to be coming from a place of arrogance and not truly understanding who God is. God does not need an ignorant fool like you to defend him or spread his message. You are not a good representative and turn people off from what is meant to be good.
Religion / Re: “the Mighty God”, The Lord Jesus Christ, The Only Saviour by chowbaby: 11:34pm On Aug 22, 2011
What exactly have you told us? Please do not go into hiding again like the little bit@h you are when we are all here on October 22, and again the world has not ended, and your false prophesies have not come true. I hope you will help all those whose lives you and your cronies have helped to destroy!
Religion / Re: “the Mighty God”, The Lord Jesus Christ, The Only Saviour by chowbaby: 6:12pm On Aug 21, 2011
[i][i]Respectfully, HISChild, your views are quite primitive and arrogant.  The only reason that you adhere to the teachings of the bible and Jesus Christ is because of where you were born.  I am probably correct in assuming that you were raised in a Christian household.  Had you been born in India you may be Budhist or Hindu.  If you were born in the middle east you may be a Muslim or Jew. Africa, mostly Christian because of colonization.  And if born in many parts of Europe or the USA, you may be a Christian or Atheist.  That simple!

The point here is that you cannot use the bible to justify the bible.  It is a man written book, not the infallible word of anything.  But if it works to keep you in fear and well behaved, then use it.  That is no way to live, but some people need it.  They believe that suffering is a sign of something good.  You way adhere to this backwards thinking.  Jesus may be the way that you choose to express your religious or spiritual beliefs, but it is quite closed minded and ignorant in 2011 to express the view that he is the only way to anything.

You have been on this site before, because the structure of your posts is familiar.  You were the person warning us that May 21 was judgment day.  It was not judgment day.  Which only goes to prove once again that whatever your interpretation of the Bible is, is false.

It appears that you believe you have some kind of authority to communicate teachings of the bible to others.  However, please be careful, because many of your teachings are misleading and false, and the bible that you so strongly believe in expresses that those like you who spread false teachings will be dealt with.  Furthermore, your May 21 nonsense probably led many away from God, destroyed many lives, and put your leader Harold Camping in the hospital.  You will also have to answer for this.  The world is not going to end soon.  It will end in billions of years when the sun becomes too close and those on earth can no longer survive.  This is not the worst time in history, comparatively speaking (slavery, the black plague, the potato famine, etc) it is not even that bad.  The bible that you so strongly believe in states that the end would have occurred thousands of years ago, it never did.  Think, this clearly shows the book is not to be interpreted literally.

Please, we do not need you to list a bunch of scriptures in response to this post.  That is the problem, you are in a trance of scriptures and have lost the inability to think logically, hence the May 21 nonsense and the belief that the world will end this year.  Followed by posts like this about anything being the only way. Those who are weak in mind will flock to stupidity like this, but others who are not will see it for the foolishness it is.

The world is filled with billions of people.  All on their own journey.  There is not one way to anything.  There may be the way that worked for you.  But please, the ignorance of beliefs in one anything is disgusting.  Furthermore, religion was only created to keep people in line.  Clearly it has done so for you as all your posts ever speak of is escaping the "wrath of God."  There is no wrath of God.  There is cause and effect.  You do bad and bad will happen to you and vice versa.  No one needs an outdated book to know this, but those who are more evil and simple minded may need it because on their own they have no sense of control or sense of morality.

In regards to the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51), the galaxy's massive center, the bright ball of light in the center of the photograph, is about 80 light-years across and has a brightness of about 100 million suns. Astronomers estimate that it is about 400 million years old and has a mass 40 million times larger than our Sun. The concentration of stars is about 5,000 times higher than in our solar neighborhood, the Milky Way Galaxy. We would see a continuously bright sky if we lived near the bright center.  The dark "y" across the center is a sign of dust absorption. The bright dot in the middle of the "y" has a brightness of about one million suns, but a size of less than five light-years.

Astrologers and scientists are doing their jobs and have provided an explanation for these phenomena.  There is no need for ignorant interpretations of what it actually is.  It baffles me that there are people in this day and age who insist on holding on to ignorance rather than exploring the wealth of knowledge out there.

Rise from your primitive way of thinking before it is too late for you, the damage you have already done may never truly be known.  We all hope that those who were misled by you and others regarding May 21 will be able to put their lives back together!  You probably never even give them any thought, sad!
