Good day my Nairaland family Ever since I joined this forum and started taking advice from you guys concerning the German study processing, things have been going well, though I have not applied to any school yet cos I don't have have all the requirements for now, but hopefully will get all the required documents complete and set for the summer application start date.. For the newbies here I advice you read from page 1 to the current page to as to get sufficient information concerning this processing, I saw alot of AL testimonies while reading through the previous pages of this PART 6,this was made possible through research and by following instructions.. For all those waiting for AL,BA, SL, AM God will make all of it successful.. Amen
I have BSc computer science Going for masters Please if you know of schools that accepts English language proficiency, don't hesitate to reply, Though I have seen some schools already, But I need more so as to foster my chances for the summer application. Thanks |

Eldeee: In life, never rule out anything whatsoever. It's far better to make attempt and fail than not to make at all. Get up bro, make that move and suppress that negative thoughts.
As regards your case, make up your mind and be ready to address the issues as they come. I have seen people get admissions in just one week after submitting their application. I have seen people getting Visa Approval Mails in just one month interval countless of times even.
I don't know your financial status, but am only making an assumption of its availability as you might need to do some things expressly considering you don't have the luxury of time.
I would suggest you be very proactive as this is what is required of you now. First and foremost, go through each of this aforementioned schools you listed and if possible get some others, check out what their different requirements states, and start gathering the documents in no distant time. Go back to your school, meet the people at the transcript section, grease their palms oga, tell them you don't have time and would appreciate they make it available for you quickly. If they insist on not giving you by hand, provide a company address you have access to or better still address it to a departmental HOD of another school, close to you while you go meet the HOD and explain to him. Also try to get letter of English language proficiency either from your department or from the registrar office. Once this is done, quickly certify the documents in accordance with what the schools stipulates. After this package your application for sending. Before you send them, lay your hands on the different applications, pray fervently for favors and send them using courier service. Be expectant and start making plans about your visa interview appointment.
Sorry for the long sermon, just felt like giving it to you in details so as to encourage you further. I wish above all things you prosper and make good progress. All the very best. Shalom Thanks for this reply..God bless you THANKS SO MUCH I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS |

Olatunde08: Hello scholars... Pls I'm a bit skeptical about something and I'll really be glad if you guys can share more light on it... I initially booked an appointment under the category B.. Because i intended to go for another Bsc program.. But unfortunately I've not bin given appointment date, and I already av my admission letter, so I decided to cancel B and booked under category A..(without ticking any box) To my surprise I got an appointment date withing 48hours..
Now I'm a bit confused.. because for some reasons, I didn't really do well in my first degree, as I graduated with a third class level of degree. Which school and course did you apply for? |

Eldeee: *Open a block account as soon as possible. There are about four financial institutions approved by the embassy. But pls avoid Deutsch Bank like a plague, unless you want cancel your Waka this year. Their bureaucracy is so annoying. Fintiba has been fun and lovely and happens to be most appreciated for a good number of us. Everything done online and no negative reviews about them since inception. Xpatrio is online too, but we have gotten some negative reviews about them as regards third party issues. And it's even a bit expensive than fintiba on the long run. Coracle just came in new into the fold. No much reviews so far, can't say about their effectiveness if any.
NB : Please note am not a marketer for any of this banks, before you mistake me for doing a marketing campaign. I am just spilling out the beans, cos I know you definitely need to make informed decisions.
* Fund your account immediately with €8640 (Bank charges exclusive) if you have the money available. If not, you can still go to the interview without funding. But make sure you fund your account.
* There's no need for notarization of documents at this stage. All you need do is to photocopy originals of the documents on the checklist for student visa application. Make sure you bring along with you both the original copy and the photocopies as specified on the checklist. You will drop both the originals and photocopies for them of which your originals will be returned back to you when you come to collect your visa.
*You need to book for student visa appointment as soon as possible to enable you get a date for the interview. If you have got a first class or second class upper or lower in your bachelors, together with a masters degree admission, then book for category A. Every information you need to enable you do this is on the German embassy website. If you are confused about anything there, feel free to ask for guidance here, people are always available and ever willing to help.
* Prepare for your interview very well by reading through other people's experience here. You can get examples of such here made available by some kind hearted folks. Hope you will be kind enough to share your experience too for others to benefit after you are done.
* After the interview, if successful, of which you will definitely be at least to a large extent, the consulate sends you what we call Approval mail (AM). They will demand for your travel insurance and your passport for stamping.
* I don't think you need to pay for semester fees from here unless otherwise stated by the school. A good number of schools allow you to come in first and during your registration, you then pay for it. But if your school demands you pay before coming in, they will probably give you instructions as regards how best you can go about it.
Feel free to ask questions here whenever you get confused, but please and please do some little research first, Google should be your friend now, not instagram, twitter or facebook. Please don't come here feeling entitled or expecting to be spoon fed, you will definitely get a doze of lashing if you fail to do the needful no matter what. We always recommend you read through this thread for your own benefit. A lot of tangible information are domiciled here free of charge.
Chai, I don write sermon again ooooo, na wa oooo, just to explain something, two fool scap sheets don finish, Lol. Anyway If I decide to summarize, I think it would not help you to a large extent since you are basically new, as I will be removing so much vital details which will benefit you and others as well. Thanks bro this information is detailed and helpful |

Melvix007: Good evening house. Anyone going to Offenburg?
I just got an AL from them but they have a tuition fee of €1500 per semester.
Any advice from the gurus here? Are there scholarships that I can apply? If you know you have the tuition fee and you can afford it you can go ahead with the application but if its the other way round don't even try it.. Look for a tuition free school, there are lots of them out there |

Bamstar007: There is no harm in trying... and also believe all goes well (I know someone who got admission in August last year and still made it to Germany last winter) he resumed late though. In all honesty I dislike schools with late deadlines and no rolling admission (meaning they wait till after deadlines to give admission) Imagine they wait just 4 weeks after July 15 to give admission, that means mid August and you will resume in October. You can give it a try! If it’s your time, nothing can stop you My advice is look for easier schools, some schools give you admission immediately they get your documents and you meet the criteria (for open admission) and still apply to the schools you like so you can start visa processing as soon as possible Thanks for the response God bless you |
