genius43: So the 0.14" difference in screen size is what makes the max 2 far bigger? Why wait for big screen devices when the Mi Note 10 is 6.67" or the Max 3 is also there as well.
There is a clear difference in performance between the two devices except you are not a heavy user. Finally got a pix... That difference is no small thing mehn

Gptech: Physical appeal, the Mi Max with 6.44 inch display looks far bigger and more noticeable than the Oneplus 7 pro with 6.67 inch display, compared both yesterday side by side. Aspect ratio as you know is the trick. There's no way someone who is used to the size of the Mi Max won't find anything else awkward. At last, someone gets the screen size issue |

There is a clear difference in performance between the two devices except you are not a heavy user. My reference to size relates to the width & not height. I went for it because of the sd855, moreover Max 3 is a 2018 device, I needed something a little but more recent. |

So I have used the Redmi K20 pro for aver 24hours now. Yea, the camera is cool, the amoled screen looks amazing, the overall performance is not bad. I am not a gaming person so in the longrun the 855sd doesn't really standout for me, I am not a picture freak, therefore the camera is just there, praying my woman doesn't see it. For me 4 things stands out in a phone in no particular order 1:Screen size( I like them big) 2:Battery Size (I don't like always plugging my phone to charge), 3:Ram, internal Memory and smooth operations, 4: Overall built Now in comparison with my Mi Max 2, the redmi K20 pro feels somehow too small holding it in my hands... I am so struggling with it the size compared to Max 2 As per battery, my mi max 2 is still a monster even after 2 years. As regards smoothness of operations, for day to day use, browse, make calls, do some transactions, read the k20 pro isn't really that far ahead of mi max 2. Its seems xiaomi and these other companies only reserve large memories for these top tier devices. Then for the overall built, the K20 pro is miles ahead of my mi max 2. My personal verdict, there is nothing so special about the k20 pro, infact I already feel like selling it. As of today, the phone will be up for sale come 5th January 2020, I want to see if it would grow on me else I am selling it and waiting for any big screen device that would deliver rugged efficient service for me. |

fibonacci2526: Maybe you bought the k20 pro Chinese version that was flashed with global rom. Yea, that's what I ordered for, my only thought is the display of mi 9t Pro instead of redmi K20 pro when I check about phone.. |

saint2ace: Can we see a picture of the box it came in, it could be that you had a global rom flashed or that the seller actually sent you a global version instead of the chinese version. I ordered for the global rom

GrandMufti: Item has left seller's store na. Why are you disturbing him? There's nothing he can do. Wait for your item to arrive, then if he didn't ship by DHL, open dispute and collect refund for shipping fee Ooh, so DHL is not trackable like Alli Express standard shipping method? |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by chrisja(m): 6:36am On Dec 12, 2019 |
Hello guys, I ordered on Alli Express using DHL shipping method since the 1st week of December, my worry now is the order has been displaying shipment ready for dispatch since 6/12 without any further movement, is that how DHL tracking works? Has the item not moved yet? I have sent like 5 messages to seller without any response. What could be the issue? |

scotweezy: Just to be sure you got what miss Fibo meant, you will need to get the Global version of the phone to enjoy specific features missing on the Chinese version.
Installing Global rom will NOT rectify the hardware features missing on the Chinese version.
The distinction between the two versions is officially from Xiaomi. Thanks Mehn |

ubev01: global rom and Chinese version means same phone different softwares, global versions is what you should be looking at Yea, I get that part, but the global version doesn't have large storage. It's mainly 6gb Ram/128gb. |

fibonacci2526: If it is the Chinese version ,you'd be missing out on the additional lte bands (20 for MTN, 28 Glo) though you'd be able to use the other 4G bands of these networks if you are in a location that supports them (band 7&3 respectively). You'd also have deal with the issue of playstore being uncertified, thus having a problem using some apps like dstvnow,Netflix etc. Thanks In other words, the global rom, fixes all these concerns? |
