Subzero047: That's why you are not a coach And that's why u are a coach right? To ur kinda ppl, anything foreign is superior to whatever is locally produced |

tbaba1234: I simply gave you an example of a player who was not invited and has progressed just as you asked.
I feel Osaze could have made that under 20 side that was so obviously bereft of quality.
If Tijani was not the striker we ended up with, the argument against Moffi would be valid. Wouldn't u have kicked against the invitation of an inactive Osaze, just the way u prolly did that of Nwakali? |

tbaba1234: Terem was playing actively between March and May.. And scoring goals too.
And what was Tijani doing at the same time??
Based on that criteria, Tijani should never have been invited. Playing for Riteraia of Lithuania right? A move he made after camp had opened right? |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 6:49pm On Jan 13, 2020 |
tbaba1234: Nwakali had no games in a year before going to play Olympics qualifiers in Egypt.
For Osaze to be playing at this level so quickly. There was talent. We played the under 20 world cup with one of the worst set of talents, at that level.
At under 20 level, Aigbogun dropped him and our worst position was arguably the right back. Ebere Eze was released by multiple clubs, Ejaria was released by Arsenal. Getting released does not mean a player is bad. Ejaria was released and Liverpool snapped him up. I kicked against the selection of Nwakali, but if u must hinge ur argument on that decision, were Osaze and Moffi playing? |

Subzero047: Do you know people were invited from academies for the tournament and were was Tijani invited from? I would rather pick an academy player from Nigeria than a player declared surplus to requirements at a giant club like the Kauno Zalgiris of the almighty Lithuania |

tbaba1234: How good was Tijani who played for the under 20? Tijani has no record compared to Terem. It is under 20, you are supposed to look for talents. I actually knew more about Terem than Tijani. The first time, i heard of Tijani was in Aigbogun camp.
Terem had 20 goals in 31 games in a low league but Tijani was doing nothing in a low league. Tijani has 0 goals after 12 games this season. U talking about same Moffi that was clubless until he joined Riteraia in February 2019? Barely 3months before the tourney? In a but shell, he was clubless before the camping. Is that the kinda players u wouldda selected if u were at the helm? |

Damne that was too petty from someone like him who ought to know better. For fvck's sake, would he have been raving about them, if they hadn't made this little breakthrough, which we don't even know if it's gonna stand the test of time? Did he for once write about any of the two here before? |

tbaba1234: Yes but when players who have not played in a year always make the cut, you have to wonder. Who are these players that never played in a year that made the cut? U would have cried blue murder if this same Osaze had been picked, considering he was then released by a league2 club before he trialed with Wednesday |

tbaba1234: Terem Moffi, striker, move to Belgium.. Never invited by Aigbogun. Instead we had Tijani who is/was a terrible footballer. How old is Terem and how good was he prior the tourney? Sure u knew this guy before his move to Belgium? Can u even pronounce the name of the club and country he just left to join Kortrijk of Belgium? Man u should be bigger than this |

TheGoodJoe: Xavi already has his respect. I think his colleagues know his wisdom of the game is far ahead their understanding, including Messi.
There will be work on the line but I see Xavi succeeding. He is a winner from Nigeria 99. His experience is vast. Played under multiple systems from Van Gaal, Rijkaard, Guardiola, Tito etc.
I think his and knowledge will drive the respect from his colleagues. I am also tipping him to succeed |

For Bleep sake, what the hell is happening to Kelechi Nwakali. He suppose to know a lot lies on him. This guy eh! He has arrived financially, looking dapper and probably tearing hoes with reckless abandon, he never knew he could be this fiscally comfortable at such a young age, hence, why bother killing himself in a bid to carve a niche for himself in the beautiful game?
