No Kenneth Omeruo
God bless u bro. Though I am no big fan of Ken, he delivered more the past decade than Ekong

STFU and go to church. free your heart from hate.

and who is omanbala? oh i see! because of the post he made yesterday that i let pass? well atleast i try to keep the thread busy by sourcing for news to bring to folks in here when am free instead of being a guest who appears once in everything 3 months to pick up a fight.

you really need to man up!
Don't cry yet, just factually quash my points to prove that Ighalo did deliver as much as Emenike did, otherwise, take this u will be needing it;

Then based on this your yardstick a player like Godfrey Obaobona deserved to be in the best XI and not Ekong grin

What other important yardstick is there to measure the deliverables of a striker other than the number of goals he scored over his entire career? grin
If Ekong had had a short stint in the team like Oboabona, Oboa would simply be the pick between the two.

your hate for ighalo fit make you run psycho soon. ighalo is a better striker than emenike and their goal records and stats in the national team are there for you to check.

giroud winning the world cup makes him a better striker than lewandoski right? receive sense! cheesy cheesy cheesy
Sometimes Omanbala1 is right about you honestly, u just make noise most of the time. Question is, "who delivered FOR THE SUPER EAGLES between Ighalo and Emenike?", not who is a better striker between Giroud and Lewadoski. Giroud isnt the better striker neither did he deliver bkus dude was an effigy in that france all conquering team. On the other hand, even though Lewa didnt win any gold, he was scoring unlike Giroud, hence, he delivered.

Now back to Emenike and Ighalo, both scored, but, Emenike's goals delivered a gold, Confed place and a place in the round of 16 of the world cup, but what can we say about Ighalo's?

If u ain't mentally incapacitated, then u would be attacking the message(my points), with facts, logically, to make them look baseless, not attacking the messenger. Thats how to be smart on debates akpuda

Oga I have posted it here before:
Emenike: 9 goals in 37 matches
Ighalo: 16 goals in 35 matches.

Or which other major yardstick do you want to use to measure "delivery" of strikers
Emenike: 9 goals in 37 matches = 1 AFCON Gold(trophy), 1 AFCON golden boot, 1 world cup ticket, 1 world cup R16.

Ighalo: 16 goals in 35 matches = 0 AFCON gold, 1 AFCON golden boot, 1 world cup ticket, 0 world cup R16.

Who really delivered?

Before some misguided fellows come here to claim he was dropped by Imama bkus of egunje:

Osaze Uroghide - “When I went to the Nigerian camp, it was a nice experience,” he recounted.

“Coach Imama Amapakabo has a lot of experience in coaching obviously with the Super Eagles and the Nigerian Professional Football League.

“The training was very intense when I went there but unfortunately, I didn’t get to play in the games, I went home early because I fell ill.

“Hopefully, next time I can show coach Imama I deserve a place in the starting eleven.

“I will continue to work hard to get back into the national team. Hopefully I can get my first cap.

“I will be looking forward to that and the work never stops.”

Ighalo with 35 games and 16 goals.

Did those goals win us at least a plastic cup?

Who was consistent from 2010 to 2019?
Martins, Ike Uche, Emenike?

Ighalo was not consistent but he Delivered more than the other CFs in the last 10yrs.

BTW that was my own list. Draw your full list let's see.
I av already acknowledged it was ur choice (list), yes, none of the said strikers stood the test of time, but please how did Ighalo deliver more than Emenike? Help me with ur unit of measurement

My SE best XI for the last decade (2010 to 2019)

....................Enyeama

Ambrose.....Yobo....Ekong.....Echiejile

...................Ndidi
............................Mikel

Musa............Iwobi..............V. Moses
....................Ighalo

Ighalo because in the last 10yrs we have not had a consistently performing CF since after Yakubu (2010 WC): Ike Uche, Martins, Emenike, Ighalo. Ighalo just edged them. Osimhen has not had enough games yet to be rated in that league of CFs.

Make una share una own smiley
Ighalo and consistency in the same sentence? Ighalo's international stats are deceptive, his prodigality in front of goal, as an eagle is well documented, u guys rave about his little achievement bkus it came at the tail end of the decade. I can't quite fathom the fascination with his goals that could neither win us an AFCON nor get us past the group stage at the world cup, something Emenike did without breaking any sweat.

Emenike's goals won us the AFCON after almost two decades, his goals got us to the confederations cup, his goals got us a world cup ticket, his all action game helped us record our first win at the world cup since the 90s/early2000s, that same all action game of his, helped us advance through the knockout stage at the world cup.

Can u reel out what glories Ighalo's goals brought us, if not his personal glory of finishing as the highest goal scorer in an AFCON that saw us lose to the almighty Madagascar with him leading the charge.

Well it is ur choice, but it is Emenike for me, bkus I attach IMPORTANCE to the EXPLOITS of a player before arriving at conclusions(ratings)

My assertion is based on what i have seen with both players on the pitch. I am not even looking at stats.
U truly are an aficionado who understands the game and never gets blinded by or become myopic due to stats. Omerou is bereft of that archetypal attributes of the stereotyped modern day center back, his style is too early 90s, little wonder most often than not u see him racking up numbers in clearances, than passes completed. He lacks pace and he is very susceptible on 1 vs 1s. Also it is a shame that a CB of his built and height is often found wanting aerially. Yes Awaziem still has things to improve on, but I am never comfortable with Omeruo as the guard, he is error prone and easily gets beaten by fleet footed forwards

Versatile Nigerian defender Kelechi John has today completed a move to Casa Pia Atlético Clube, the Portuguese Liga Pro side have informed via social media.

The Nigeria U23 international has been inactive since the end of the 2018-2019 season after parting company with Rio Ave, whom he represented for three years.

He transferred to Rio Ave from Junior Elkanemi Academy, a Jos based grassroots club that produced the likes of Obi Mikel, Joseph Akpala and Chidozie Awaziem.

"I'm here to help the team stay in ligapro. I want to prove my worth to help the team, " said Kelechi, moments after signing the contract with Casa Pia Atlético Clube.

"I believe that from January we will climb the table and everything will be fine "

After 14 matches in the Segunda Liga, Kelechi's new employers are 17th in the 18-team table with eight points.

Their next game comes up against Sporting Covilhã on Sunday, January 5.
