You ARE a killjoy. Simple and short.

There is no justifiable reason for this amount of pessimism. We struggled against world class teams at the WC yes, but Burundi and Madagascar is nothing remotely near the quality of Croatia and Argentina. Even if I were to take charge of the SE I will come out on top of that group. Even if we were to go to Egypt with a 100% home based team, we would still beat them like a drum.
D way u beat Uganda, SA, Seychelles here in Nigeria abi?

I dont wanna be a kill joy, buh I would advise u lot celebrating this draw to pipe low for now. Remember Rohr is the kinda coach that goes to tournaments to experiment, rather than participate, on the false pretense that "my team is young and this is just a learning curve for them". Brace up for more excuses in Egypt. He did it Russia.

Most people in here really do have low self esteem. U guys are crying bkus omidiji has decided to pitch his tent with USA, really? Omidiji at this level is crap and not even better than others that were dropped too, hence he should go to hell with his yeye attitude, u guys crying can as well join him(to hell). How could one possibly suggest that the coach makes a public statement bkus of this kid. Gush!!!

So i did some digging. It appears that the Omidiji family believe that Lateef was dropped due to the "9ja factor".

Personally, i do not believe that because i heard reports that he was not performing that well in camp before the list came out.
Same Nigerian factor yielded Akande and the goalkeeper. He and his family should get over themselves. Same rubbish they said when Pete Dedevbo dropped Sophia, Dennerby came in, and still didnt find her good enough. They are pissypants tongue

Manu aint no man of questionable calls. If he said u aint gud, u aint gud. Omidiji should roll up his sucks and do better next time. Otherwise, he should get lost, BTW, better players were dropped alongside him. Seems Dude is believing in his own hype, hence thinks himself a special kid that must be counted before anyone else. hey guys just saw this on CAF's official twitter handle final seedings for the draw released https://twitter.com/CAF_Online

POT 1: Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco

POT 2: Ghana, Cote d'ivorie, Mali, Guinea, Algeria, DR Congo

POT 3: South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Benin, Mauritania, Madagascar

POT 4: Zimbabwe, Angola, Namibia, Tanzania, Guinea bissau, Burundi
I want to play Cote D'ivoire, South Africa and Tanzania.

About CIV, I want them bkus of the rivalry that exists btwn us, which would make the game a cracker. That said, Most people in here av talked the talk(berating CIV), I wonder why they are now so scared of walking the walk.

About SA, I just want their runny bucalcavities shot for good.

In Tanzania, I would want to test Amunike's might. Dude has proven to be a very good student of sir Westerhof

Seems the boys are following our argument here; Awaziem is of same view with tbaba1234, and here is what he's got to say to Supersport.com;

''I think we are going to have a good Africa Cup of Nations with these kind of players (Chukwueze and Onyekuru) because if you check at their clubs they are doing very good and they are playing in the best leagues in the world, especially Chukwueze, and they are playing regularly,''

I can deduce from this that Awaziem's first choice wingers are Onyekuru LW and Chukwueze RW.

Without mincing words, as a winger or wing back, SiMoses might never get to achieve dis little feat throughout his laliga career. When I read people comparing Chuks, Musa and SiMoses as wingers I chuckle at their ignorance. Musa(with all due respect) and SiMoses are headless fowls as long as the position "winger" is concerned. That said, musa is a class act as a striker and a WF, same cant be said of Moses Simon though.

Laliga player of the week nominees.

Chuks would have to beat off competition from the trio of Daniel Parejo who bagged an assist in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid and Pablo Sarabia who also scored one and assisted another in Sevilla’s win over Alaves, whilst Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal completes the pairing.

Chuks stands tall here considering his rating, stats and calibre of players he faced, plus the club's(Barcelona) status.

Agreed with one reservation. we also have to count Ighalo’s recent goals for SE. Abi can’t someone make amends for their past? Let’s praise Ighalo at least for now.. U can’t just hate person finish.
People can make amends for their past buh some amendments can be deceitful. This is why i said his recent goals rush is nothing buh a pig on lip sticks bkus when the going gets a notch up, he will still cut his normal figure of barrenness. This makes him unreliable. I only rate players who rise to save the day when the chips are down. I'm sorry if I seem cantankerous, buh I love being real.

Double standards. Plain simple!!!
Musa shows up when it matters most while Ighalo chickens out. Thats not to say Musa made the right move. Ighalo's prodigalities in front of goal are well documented. Ighalo is a rope of sand as long as the national team is concerned while Musa is a hero. Musa has played and excelled at the highest level, national team wise, while, Ighalo has been a colossal fiasco, hence, it's preposterous comparing the two. Musa as a wing forward promises more goals(very vital ones for that) than Ighalo as a striker.

We will make it out of the group stage. 6 groups, top two automatically to round of 16, joined by best 4 third place teams. I am not an Ighalo fan, but let's see how it goes. This is African opposition.
Well, I believe our wingers/wing forwards will once again, come to our rescue, otherwise we are doomed as I don't expect Ighalo to suddenly become prolific, neither would penalties be that easy to come by, for him to cheaply register his name of the score sheet as usual

Sorry I'm not a gambler.

Just as he has been top - striking in all the tournaments we have taken him to? grin

U basking on the euphoria of his recent goals returns of which four were penalties? Minus the penalties, how many goals did he score in an open play? It would be perilous having Ighalo as the striker, it has always been.

Chriskels, with these few games providing us another opportunity to beam our lights on Jamilu Collins, is there any chance, you might have changed your stance against him?
Jamil and Shehu are not SE quality. Both have no business in the team. I would rather Ola Aina manned that LB/LWB. As poor as Idowu was and will ever be, to me, he aint worse than Jamil. That LB remains a cog in our wheel.

I disagree with your last comment. We can not say Nacho is wasting away because he is part of the team. At the end, Rodgers has his first eleven but it does not mean the others are not assimilating the knowledge Rodgers is passing to the team.

I think the whole team is performing better, not just Ndidi. Are you seeing Wes Morgan playing like a ball playing defender? Not seen him in that light but it is working under Rodgers.

Rodgers has said Vardy is his top pick and he is playing Nacho as a center forward. Meaning Nacho will get his chance when Vardy is not available or when Nacho gets ahead of Vardy in performance. Meaning Nacho needs to keep working hard in training to get ahead. I am very okay with that.
Well, I just hope he uses his opportunity when he is presented with it. I dont see Vardy letting up anytime soon though.

Yes their performance has improved buh Ndidi has been the best. He was the reason they defeated Burnley even with Burnley's numerical advantage early in the game. The less said about their game yesterday, the better
