I support U about onyekuru ,but success starting? I doubt it
If I had my way, I would start both Chukwueze and Success. Success is a true no.9. He is cerebral, physical, passes well, shoots fine, selfless plus his positional sense(makes good runs, as and when due)

Kalu is a good player plus he is my boy, u all know it, but the Chukwueze I saw against Levante is a rare gem, besides, Kalu really hasn't covered himself wt glory. Chucks opens up play(opposition defense) with ease, plays with guile(highly unpredictable) and he exudes confidence. He does his thing like Sala with his cultured left foot by running at defenses, cutting inside to either release a shot or tee up a better placed mate, ala the back heel to Ekambi. I love his style

The followership was almost like that of the Super Eagles. I wonder how TheGoodJoe missed all that.

I was part of the Enyimba back room Crew then.
Back then in Abia, Enyimba was placed ahead of the super eagles. No one missed Enyimba matches. Almost every home got an antenna for that and always willing to throw gates open for the less privileged who couldn't afford the antenna. Every kid wanted to be a star of Enyimba when he grows up. It was crazy, Ekene Ezenwa, The one-eyed Okemini, Obinna Nwaneri, Enyeama(agwo ojoo), Tyavkase, Atanda et al were some of the few names we called ourselves while having our kick-abouts. Anybody wey miss that moment, sha missed the best Nigerian soccer(club wise) ever.

Dr Orji Uzor Kalu made it possible

You like running down our team against Ivory coast all the time. they have the best team in Africa yet could not even qualify for the knock out stage on two occasions of being to the world cup. i don't know how many times it took Nigeria to make a statement in the world cup. maybe you should tell me?

I agree, Nigeria have an average middle fielders. but yet this average middle fielders are unbeaten in the last thirty six world cup qualifying( one of the best in Africa) and only bested by Brazil and Spain, this average middle field is third in Africa and the only team to have been to the last three world cup.

And your world class middle fielders of ivory coast are in what number in Africa ranking please remind me. The good thing is that the last time the both team melt Nigeria came top so show some respect cheesycheesycheesy
Bro we talking facts not feelings. We talking present not past. Nigeria had it and we proud of those greats and their achievements for the national team. When they were there, Ivory Coast had nothing on us but same cant be said of the present midfielders bar, iwobi, Ndidi and aged Mikel. Now tell me, can u compare these carpenters(Etebo, Ogu, Agu) with any of our greats past? My dear I cant settle for less, hence I no fit follow una dey glorify mediocrities. A team where Wilson Oruma was a fringe player is parading the Agus, Etebos, Ogus of this world as midfielders and u want Chriskels to be hailing them? Ogbeni make I hear word

Coach of Villarreal, Javi Calleja on Sammy Chucks;

“Samu (Chukwueze) and Miguelón played at a high level. That’s the path everyone should be following. The youngster(Chukwueze) showed the rest of the team how to play "football" today . In football, you need to play with happiness, intensity and without fear”

Chukwueze already teaching his elders how to tap leather, in Europe ooo grin grin

I pray the coach gets his acts together fast, as a change in management may not favor Ekong as we saw what happened back at Turkey.

Yeah, they are a talented side, Behrami and Fofana are my favorites.
Fofana is a beast but not beast enough to be a mainstay in the Ivorian midfield, yet, some ppl were joining words with me while I was praising the ivory Coast midfield. Just look at what we have in the midfield to face the RSA ; Etebo, Ogu, Agu grin grin grin

I see you like better tins. Fofana is a beast strong and technical. I like watching them they always compete even though they lose
He is an Ivorian midfielder with only 5caps. He aint even good enough for the ivory Coast, hence he hardly get a look in. But look at what we Parade, Agu, Etebo and Ogu chai grin grin grin

Solanke made no mistake by joining Liverpool. certainly not when Klopp is manager... Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander Arnold were playing youth football a few years ago but under Klopp, they got enough first team opportunities and proved their worth and today they aren't just established players in Liverpool but also England. Solanke got that same opportunity. he simply couldn't grab it. Iheanacho had d same opportunity at city and he grabbed it...
U dropped it like it's hot!!

Solanke wasn't actually signed as a first team player by Klopp. but he got the opportunity of playing a lot with Sturridge and Ings always injured and Origi desperate for more playing time moved to Wolfsburg... that automatically made Solanke the second choice striker last season ..compare his situation with Iheanacho who was prompted to the man city first team and had to battle Aguero and Bony for a place in d team...
Solanke had many opportunities last season. 27 games with some starts. yet he could only manage to score one goal... This season he doesn't even make the bench anymore. He is 21 already. Iheanacho was already a star at his age ...yet oga Southgate finds it easy to defend Solanke and ridicule Iheanacho...

Understand the point ChrisKels is making Nacho was up against Dzeko, Aguero and Bony. Even later the Beast Negredo and was still able to make an impact. Solanke is not facing such competition at Liverpool.

By the way, Solanke needs time to find his footing. He is a promising young fellow. He should stick his head down, learn from Klopp and then move to a club where he will get opportunity and service. Then the young man will prove his worth.
Add to that list, Jovetic.

About the bolded in ur last paragraph, until that happens, he is a waste man, since he is already 21+ and still wallowing from one Academy to another grin grin

Whether Lester city or Man city, let's not cut off the nose to spite the face. Asides Gareth Komekn, Dominic is a brilliant young footballer but I think he made a wrong choice staying at Liverpool, the odds are stacked against him. El trio rarely get injured and they are always hungry to play. When established players like Sturridge, Shaqiri, Origi are regular bench landlords, he stands no chance. Championship won't be a bad destination for him or back to Holland.
U are too far from the point. Is Solanke a waste man or not, by Gareth Komekn's standards? grin grin

Before u answer that question, read his(Komekn's) standards, if u dont know them already

Sir kels, that your argument that KC faced superior competition than Solanke, pls check the container wey dey hold that argument, e be like say na torn basket o, d thing no hold water. Vardy, okazaki, ulloa, gray etc superior to El trio, mane, Dallas and firmino?
KC has definitely achieved more than Solanke in football but me I just be fact checker.
Manchester City bro. Talking about players staking a claim in the first team of top teams from theur Academies. KC did it with City. Thats not really the argument though, rather, "Solanke is the true waste man" is grin grin

komekn:
I didn't say he Klopp promised him first team football. But from what I was told it was more or less implied.

Once you go to big team with world class players you have to perform at that level or you get dropped. Solanke has not performed is he a wasteman no.

The bigger the team the less the opportunities. Without playing you can not improve. He really needs a good loan move in January.

Otherwise he could easily stagnate. Solanke will learn nothing at Liverpool U23 he has definitely gone beyond youth football. Even Bobby needs to move on loan he also has gone beyond the U23.
The first bolded sums it up. It is obvious u are rather emotional than factual there. U said he hasn't performed, yet u said he aint a waste man? You are funny grin grin

The italicized makes Iheanacho look like a god bkus he came up against far superior competitions (strikers) at city than what Solanke had last season and this season at Liverpool, yet KC still stood his ground while ur Solanke faltered and is still faltering . Yet u wanna give excuses for Solanke? You are a comedian grin grin

About ur final paragraph, Lol Solanke has stagnated already. Get used to it grin grin grin

Solanke & Ughelumba On Target, Adekanye Provides Two Assists As Liverpool Beat Leicester U23

Published: November 04, 2018

England 21 star Dominic Solanke impressed while playing for Liverpool's U23 squad on Saturday and has been praised by manager Critchley after finding the back of the net in their 3-1 win over Leicester City.

Three players of Nigerian descent contributed to all the four goals scored at Liverpool’s Academy Ground, with Reds dazzler Bobby Adekanye notching a pair of assists and Foxes fullback Calvin Ughelumba netting his first goal of the season in the 90th minute.

Solanke has been included in the Liverpool first team squad only once this season, against his former employer Chelsea in the League Cup, but did not come off the bench. grin grin

Reflecting on the performance of Solanke, Critchley told liverpoolfc.com : ''We played very well and deserved the win, and it was a good response after last Monday's defeat at Blackburn.
"We scored three good goals and it was great to see Dominic get a deserved goal.
"He led the line really well for us and was bright and made a big contribution."
Liverpool attack-minded duo Adekanye and Solanke both featured for ninety minutes against Leicester City.

Forgiveness and Southgate I thought u guys said Klopp promised him first team opportunities hence blocked him from going out on loan? grin grin

Here is the real waste man. Any 21-year-old still playing in the Academy is a big joke. According to komekn grin grin
