Rockyrascal: we just need this two players early enough in the second half. Am not even sure Bryan idowu knows his role as a LWB. The only reasonable post came from a none regular. Our fake members were busy destroying the team |

Oasis007: We wailed Mikel offered little as an AM, but both Ndidi and Etebo are offering nothing as CMs in this Match.
Yeah.... the Coach seems overrated by many of us. Almost retracted calling him white Onigbinde, obviously he's an average Coach.
When the Midfield ain't tickling, what do you expect from other Positions?! No penetration, no cohesion, harmless crosses and so on. Not surprised, he already is well known here. |

@Oasis007... When I said ndidi is just a good tackler nothing more, I was criticised on this thread. Some were even saying he's better than Kante.
For me Etebo should come off for iwobi and nacho off for ighalo or simi.... More creativity in midfield and presence in attack. Dont u ever dine with dis kinda men, dey ditch u when things seem bad and smile wt u when uv got little bucks to through around. I call dem fake friends. Plastic fans |

When I said the best way to get something from Moses is by taking him to the wing back or have him sit, people wanted my head saying he was our best attacking out let Trust me, what a man sees sitting down, a kid will never see it even if he climbs an iroko tree. My formation remains; Moses to the LWB and ebuehi RWB while Iwobi partners Iheanacho |

TheSuperNerd: I already saw this question coming...
Answer will be found out by June 26 even after we win on June 22. But note that the only times we lost our first games and failed to qualify was only against Argentina. Selah. Thanks for the clarification bro. I didn't know, so I had to ask. |

TheSuperNerd: All I see now are some folks gauging their hearts against "in case we fail".... But if we win, they will pick up their belief again and put it on. As if belief is a cap you can just take off and on at anytime. Omo, if you believe in this team, you believe. If you don't, then sorry, you just don't. One cannot be on the fence on this one.
And someone (Elyte I think) said in 2002, we saw two European teams qualify and it is likely yk happen again. Well I got some additional info for you fella since tlyou wanna use the tool of history....
In 2002, we faced Argentina in our first game and we lost and crashed out. In 2010, we faced Argentina in our first game, we lost again and we crashed out even when all we needed was a win against Korea but it was not to be sadly. Even Yakubu missed a chance Mbappe buried today.
We have never advanced to the next round after playing Argentina first in a WC edition.
Now look at the next pattern...
In 1994, we played Argentina second and we qualified. In 2014, we played Argentina third and we still qualified.
We have always qualified from a group having Argentina when we don't play them first. It is funny that the only years we have never advanced from the group stage have been when we feel to Argentina in our first game (2002 and 2010).
Now I know History can be funny some times and sometimes, patterns remain and are sometimes changed but this is the pattern right now.
In 2018, I have a feeling that this will be the year we break this Jinx of never beating a South American team at a World cup ONLY IF WE CAN RISE, SHOW FORTH THE TRUE POWER OF NAIJA AND BEAT ICELAND TOMORROW. Before, it used to the jinx of never beating a south American team at senior level but we broke that jinx properly just last year with that 4-2 win although we did same in 2011 in a 4-1 win over Argentina but that result was never looked upon with the respect it deserves because we played a BC-Class Argentine team then.
The game against Iceland will determine it all. It is indeed the game of our lives and possibly will be the most interesting in Group D yet.
#SoarSuperEagles #IBelieve Argentina or no Argentina, have we ever lost our first match and still qualified? |

Look let Rohr actually fail before you can tag him that because as it stands, He has not failed yet.
Rohr's team is better disciplined than this Argentine wack show of a team we just witnessed. What happens to calling a spade a spade eh?
Argentina is WAAACCCCK!!! And they can be raped by Nigeria as it was in November last year.
. Lol Nerdy our coach says otherwise, to him, Argentina is the best in the world hence should beat us because they have bigger names and they are in top 10 while our team is a young one(project 2022) and in top 50. |

forgiveness: Rohr : Mikel & Moses Are The Star Players In Super Eagles, Others Stars Of The Future
Published: June 21, 2018
Rohr : Mikel & Moses Are The Star Players In Super Eagles, Others Stars Of The Future Manager Gernot Rohr has explained why there are only a few star players in the Nigeria squad despite the fact that the population of the country is 500 times the population of Iceland.
The German has named former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and the current Nigerian Player of the Year Victor Moses as the two players that can be classed as stars in the Super Eagles team, and has predicted that the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Tyronne Ebuehi will be stars of the future.
''Why we don't have star players? It's because we are the youngest team of the World Cup,'' Rohr said at Thursday afternoon's pre-match conference before the start of training.
''We have Obi Mikel, who is a very good player, you can tell that he is a star, we have Victor Moses who is well known everywhere but we have so many young players, they will be stars, I hope so, tomorrow.
''What we have is a team for 2022, because when you are so young, with the goalkeeper and all the other people, they will be better and better. ''
Rohr has reiterated that the Super Eagles are the underdogs in Group D, pointing out that their three rivals Argentina, Croatia and Iceland are ranked higher than his team in the FIFA ranking.
''We are in the top 50 in the world, Iceland is in the top 20 (22), Croatia is in the top 12 (20) and Argentina in the top eight.
''When I see that the matches are so difficult and the scores are so close, we have to learn also, it is not finished after this World Cup for us.
''We want to improve, we want to learn. When you are the youngest, it is not possible, perhaps, to be the best already,'' he added.
Rohr, who penned a two-year contract extension earlier this year, refused to comment on his future with the Nigeria National Team in the event that they lose to Iceland on Friday.

http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=28238 I have never seen a man so timid and hopeless. where did we bring this coward from? I just hope someone is already preparing his sack letter. We cant have such inept coward as a coach and still believe we will improve. |
