tbaba1234:Too bad. Like Icon4s always say, we really need to have standing youth teams, we must not wait till a tourney is around the corner. I truly am not happy with this development |
tbaba1234:Same here considering how long the paper works can take to be completed. Main reason I decided to keep d news all dis while but Rohr being a German, I blv can pull some strings if he was in dire need of the boys. |
TheSuperNerd:Na him and Uduokhai my undercover agent tell me say are possibilities after some ex internationals talked sense into his father. U and I read where uduokhai said he was open to repping the Eagles. Hopefully the news will be clearer soon. Personally, I don't rate Akpoguma. Moses Odubajo Plays Again After 19 Months Nigerian right back Moses Odubajo played his first competitive game after being out of action for close to 20 months. The 24 year old former England youth International played 45 minutes for Hull City under-23s in their 2-1 win over Burnley Odubajo had been out of action since July 2016 when he fractured his kneecap in a pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town The Injury had effectively ruled him out of his first season as a Premier League player The defender showed a few early signs of rustiness as early passes went astray, one of which could have proved costly as he gifted the ball to Clarets forward Dwight McNeil. However he also showed signs of the old reliable full-back that starred in the Tigers’ promotion campaign under Steve Bruce in 2015-16, with a couple of trademark lung-busting runs into the opposition half as his confidence increased. He was replaced by James Yatesat the end of the half Odubajo could feature in the under-23s next game away at Crystal Palace on Monday |
MORE PLAUDITS FOR BACK TO BACK MOTM EBERE EZE : SMITH, HOLLOWAY HAIL NIGERIAN STAR More Plaudits For Back To Back MOTM Ebere Eze : Smith, Holloway Hail Nigerian Star Nigerian wonder kid Ebere Eze continues to rake in the plaudits and steal headlines for his for his eye catching performances for Queens Park rangers in the English Championship The 19 year old was again named the man of the match after another phenomenal performance in QPR’s 3-1 victory over Aston Villa. Ebere whos reputation at Loftus Road is fast growing after his quick acclimatization to Championship-level football has been hailed by teammate Matt Smith who says that the midfielder could quickly become one of the best. Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “We’ve seen a lot of Eb’s (Ebere Eze) in training so we all know what he is capable of. “He’s certainly one of the best young lads I have seen coming through and I’ve seen the Lewis Cook’s and the Ryan Sessegnon’s of this world and I would put him in that category. “I think he has so much potential and end product. I like that because some players will flatter to deceive but not only can he show his skills on the ball he has an end product. “In the first team that is key because ultimately he will be judged on goals and assists and he has both in his game.” In the same vein QPR manager Ian Holloway likened the Nigerian to QPR legend Stan Bowles who was most iconic players in QPR’s history after win at Aston Villa “For a 19-year-old to produce that kind of performance made me really proud,” said the former Crystal Palace boss. “He has wonderful ability. He is what every QPR fan cries out for, someone like Stan Bowles. “It is wonderful to see but we have to teach him how to win. He floats and is very easy on the eye.” |
tbaba1234:I learnt this guy hasn't been capped by Belgium at any level. With Genk's reputation for producing badass stars, plz whoever is the U20 coach should have this guy on his mind. |
TheSuperNerd:We are on same page bro. |
tbaba1234:I couldn't av said it any better |
krattoss:Lol u dis IMSU guy, if na to carry Porsche cars to dey intimidate FUTO guys, una no go check the cost of fuel and all Dat, now to see match online u dun dey wise up abi mtcheew ![]() |
maidaboi:Before the injury, was he as good as Kalu? BTW, how many matches did he even miss because of the injury. Did u know even though Henry onyekuru has been off for much longer time than Simon was, he still has better stats than Simon. Can u beat that? |
Loogan:I have said this more than a million times on this thread and I reiterate, Simon and Musa ain't no cerebral wingers and won't make my team ahead of better wingers like Onyekuru and Kalu with the excuse that they have good defensive psych. |
Joebie:Bros wetin u wan make ur man talk kwanu? Ur man was being cautious maka ndu ya |
Truidstar:And that's good enough an excuse when he can hardly execute his primary assignment which lies upfront? As a winger, ur primary assignment is an efficient attacking input followed by defensive contributions which is secondary. I av bn seeing Gent matches lately because of Esiti, and can tell u Moses hasn't been contributing more defensively to Gent than Kalu. Initially, Moses's fans pride themselves over his unofficial appointment as the free kick taker for Gent, lol, guess who has assumed that mantle now and has been delivering... Your guess is as good as mine and if he wasn't better than Moses, he wouldn't have been assigned that duty after it was strapped off Simon. Just as Moses was once Gent's golden boy, Kalu is their present golden boy and he is highly celebrated by Gent's fans. He is wanted by a host of clubs in the top leagues and I expect him to leave by summer. Until Henry's unfortunate injury, he was the only Nigerian winger better than Kalu amongst the players plying their trade in Belgium. Stat wise, the likes of Olayinka and Bonaventure have even done better than Moses this season. We need to tell ourselves the truth... |
tbaba1234:Lol uv rly fallen in love with this kid that u had to screenshot this with an almost empty battery I'm tempted to clamor for the inclusion of this boy in our next get together at least as a training cone but make I leave him till after the world cup make person no break my head here ![]() |
If u have a heart, then u gotta feel for this kid. I just hope Ebuehi no follow wicked him brother Loanee Sadiq Umar Cries Out For Referee Protection After Another Stellar Performance For NAC Breda On loan Roma forward Sadiq Umar has cried out about defenders unfairly kicking him in their bid to stop him after winning another penalty in NAC Breda 2-0 win over ADO Den Haag over the weekend. For the second game running, the Nigerian won another spot kick after he was roughly brought down in the box, and a week after his coach was sent off for protesting the decision of the referee in their win over Feyenoord, before he was finally awarded one, the striker has now voiced same worries. Big, strong, quick and skillful, the 21 year old who has taken the Dutch Eredivisie by storm since his loan move in January feels he is not getting enough protection from referees during games. ” I have to be very clear with you, I am feeling pains all over my ankle region and also around my shin. The kicks I get from defenders is not helping me at all. Some protection from the referees will help me a lot”, Jololo as Sadiq is fondly called by friends told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” Defenders are there to stop the strikers from scoring, that I know and the whole world knows it as well but it has to be fairly done. I am seriously battling with not enough protection from the referees “, he concluded. |
cc12:U r absolutely correct. I mistook Peseiro for Nuno. Espirito was actually the guy that demoted him to the B-team at Porto, now he wants him to play under him at Wolverhampton. That shows Awaziem has really put in a lot of work to be where he is today. Keep soaring my boy but plz shun England. Remain with Ranieri and his high flying Nantes team. |
After today's match, Samuel Kalu's stat so far with Gent; "He has been directly involved in 26 goals (10 goals, 16 assists) in 46 appearances since his move to Gent." This guy is an assist king. Badass winger Moses Simon's fan boys won't like this ![]() |
Belgian League watch ; Nigerians pretty active: Sint Truiden - Club Brugge 0:1 69' - assist Dennis Bonaventure (0:1) Oostende - Standard Liege 2:3 27' - assist Joseph Akpala (1:0) 45' - goal Joseph Akpala (2:0) Lokeren - Zulte Waregem 0:2 89' - goal Peter Olayinka (0:2) Genk - Gent 1:2 11' - assist Samuel Kalu (0:1) 77' - goal Samuel Kalu (0:2) Copied |
tbaba1234:Wolverhampton coach was the man that gave Awaziem his break at Porto, he knows the boy better but I would advise him to remain in France with Nantes. I once read Lyon was after him. |
Nigeria's Most Promising Talent Puts On A Show In Gent Win Published: March 11, 2018 Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu inspired Gent to a 2-1 defeat of Genk FC in the Belgian First Division on Sunday afternoon, scoring once and laying on another the Buffaloes. The 20-year old put through teammate, Birger Verstraete for his side's opening goal after 11 minutes with a precise cross. He would then beat the hosts goalkeeper, Danny Vukovic with a right footed effort of his own which he powered into the top right corner from the center of the box. The goal was his sixth in the topflight this season and his performance was consummate enough to push Gent who are placed fourth on the division standings six points clear of their opponents in fifth. Also in action at the Luminus Arena were Nigerian internationals Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti both of who went the distance in the encounter while Kalu who is in line for the MOTM accolade came off for Anders Christiansen eight minutes from time. Last month, Samuel Kalu was named among the top fifty most promising prospects in Europe by CIES Football Observatory, the only player of Nigerian descent that made the prestigious list. |
Super Eagles MO: Joel Obi Will Come For Friendlies; ADO Den Haag Yet To Contact NFF WRT Ebuehi Published: March 11, 2018 Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye has played down speculations over the availability of Joel Obi for the upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia, saying the Torino midfielder is not injured and it was only a tactical decision by manager Walter Mazzarri to omit him from the squad vs Roma. Ibitoye says it's also news to him that ADO Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi is an injury doubt for the two friendlies against the European teams as the Dutch club have not yet informed the Nigerian Federation that the player has pulled out of the squad after he picked up an injury in the Eredivisie clash against NAC Breda on Saturday. ''We will wait for official notification because normally when you invite a player and he is not able to come because of injury the doctor of the club will write to the NFF that the player is injured,'' Ibitoye told allnigeriasoccer.com . ''They will send the details of the injury to confirm that he can't make it. We will wait for official confirmation from Tyronne's club. ''For Joel, he is okay, we still got in touch with him yesterday. He was just rested for their last game. He is fine, he has sent in his travel itinerary so we are expecting him to come. ''For Tyronne we hope it's not something serious. We hope he will be able to come, we wait for official word from the club doctor to know whether he's in or not.'' Joel Obi has not featured for the national team for close to four years due to concerns about his fitness, while Ebuehi has always made the squad in the last one year, apart from the World Cup qualifier against Zambia last |
