I watched our U20 against Uganda and I was embarrassed to say the least. Just senseless dribbling, gra-gra , agidi and all sort of unpolished football at this age of their career. Ugandans were more talented and better trained
You didn't add that none of them was born overseas wink

Update: You need a godfather to play in Eagles - Ex Footballer Throws Bomb🇳🇬🙆

A Former Flying Eagles defender, Kennedy Chinwo has opened a can of worms after he revealed that having footballing talent is not enough for a player to play in the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He argued that any such player without having a strong godfather is going nowhere.

The world cup Silver 🏅 medalist made this revelation in an interview with Brila FM.

“It is the dream of every player to play for the Super Eagles. However, playing in the senior national team won’t just come easy. You need a godfather to play in the Eagles. But if you don’t have, no matter your talent, you won’t be able to play.

“A few of the players who I feel should have been in the Super Eagles despite their talent were not given a chance to play in the team.”

NB: Chinwo was part of the Samson Siasia-led Flying Eagles that lost at the finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup to Argentina in 2005 in Netherlands.

Nigerians has since been reacting to the assertions of the former footballer.

How could you post something as stupid as this in here? Who is this guy and where did/does he play to earn a place in the eagles? Throughout his playing career, was he ever good enough to be picked ahead of the guys in the eagles at the time? So, going by his rather foolish opinion, the likes of Osimhen, Ndidi, Bassey etc are in eagles because of the so called godfathers. Wait oo, was it also the so called godfathers that stopped him from making a career for himself in Europe or at home abi scouts blind?

Lol if godfatherism does work actually, do you think Nwakali would be in the abyss with the kind of godfathers he has?

Lol maybe tomorrow now, Nwakali go begin talk say dem no call am because him no get godfather.

What exactly is the NFFs plan for the forthcoming Olympics? It is about a year away.

Nigeria interestingly has a large crop of players that could potentially repeat the 1996 glory days. We just need to be intentional and sell same vision to the players to get on board.

Just off the top of my head I can think of the following players:

Arthur Okonkwo 21yrs
Gift Orban 20yrs
Sam Edozie 20yrs
Destiny Udogie 20yrs
Folarin Balogun 21 yrs
Noni Madueke. 20 yes
Carney Chukwuemwka 19 yrs
Michael Olise 21yrs
Ebenezer Akinsomiro 18 yes
Yira Sor 22yrs
Moses usor. 21yrs
Victor Boniface 22yrs
Raphael Onyedika. 21yrs

Of course players like Osimhen can join the list as one of the 3 overaged players and captain of the team and maybe even captain the team.

I pretty sure there are a lot more players than one could include in the list above. Point is, Nigeria potentially could win the Olympics again with proper planning and selling the vision to some of these folks.
This is the funniest post I have read here this year 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

I didn't see his over all play to know if he can perform in front of a weak midfied like ours, but he took his goals like a legend of the game. Those goals looked like Aguero's

Kompany has a big war ahead of him to keep Tella. He needs to hope Tella can push Southampton to let him go.
If SOTON fails to stay up, Tella should sever ties with them in order to go up with Burnley or even get himself another team in the EPL

Exactly. He operates as some kind of Trequartista behind the main striker. Carrick truly profiled the lad right.
I know the team comes first, but how has that impacted on the main striker, and do you think he can play same role for the eagles with Osimhen up front?

Chuba Akpom Brace so far as his side Middlesbrough leads 3-0 vs Ekpiteta's Blackpool in the Championship.

16 League goals, 1 assist now in 23 games (20 starts). Flying strong under Michael Carrick.

Ekpiteta not involved due to a hamstring injury he nurses currently.
He has been so prolific playing behind the main striker.

Oga,pls did you really got my point or just seeing Kokmne name caused this.Pls who talk more of Nigeria British born players here irrespective of the clubs or league they are playing.Pls roll back pages and if you know other moniker that talk more of Nigeria British born than Kokmne here,I will apologise to honourable members of this beautiful sport forum.
From your response to Elyte, show me where you alluded that Komekn was just about talking rather than making researches which is the major topic of discussion, and the reason you quoted Elyte.

Or better yet, give me one player Komekn made research on, and posted his research work here as TheSuperNerd has been doing here. Just one player, and I will let you off the hook.
