Not making yourself available for the ball is same as hiding from it; when a player has the ball and others are not moving and making themselves available to receive it.

On sunday, I could remember many times Smalling moved with the ball to the midfield with no one available to receive it. Instead Cleverly moved to the left and was pointing to other players.

elampiro: This is what I meant last season when I said we needed to buy good dribblers. All our forwards are the same, no one can get past a man, except Januzaj and Nani. Januzaj is inexperienced and Nani is match rusty/ lack self confidence or has lost form. What do we have left, people who can pass, and most times passing the ball slowly. It is a reason I was a bit concerned that buying another passer in Mata was not the solution. But once Di Maria settles, Herrera and Mr New settle, we might get it right again.

Yeah, that included. Most of the passers you claim we've pass it sideways and diagonal, they lack confidence in trying those penetrative passes. Lack of movement of the players and players hiding from receiving the ball are also the causes.

Yeah he's struggling but the same for everyone. Our movement on-the-ball is very poor not to talk of the piss poor midfield.

Players around him need to be mobile and moving into spaces for a better performance from him.

Yeah, I get you though these players aren't even core players of the team while most of their contributions to the team are negligible.

As long as we get 2-3 midfielders, we won't have a problem. Rooney can play as a CF. Lawrence/Will Keane will be promoted. We also have Di maria, Herrera and Januzaj for that upfront.

VP, Rooney, Will/Lawrence, Mata, Di Maria, Januzaj, Herrera and maybe Val(sometimes) are enough for the upfront.

Ando and Fellaini will also leave when they get fit.
