See photos of a commercial bus driver who was allegedly beaten up, strip and also got his vehicle vandalized by policemen in Port Harcourt because of ₦100 bribe. It is usually saddening whenever press reports confirm that one or two law enforcement officers exhibit some “barbaric and unprofessional” behaviours on duty. An example of such a case played out in Port Harcourt on Monday, December 21 when police officers allegedly beat up a commercial bus driver over his refusal to pay them ₦100 bribe. What’s even worse is that the rogue policemen also took time to vandalize the victim’s vehicle and almost stripped him naked. Too bad, right? https://file.naijauto.com/2020/12/23/jxIDw0uA/photo-of-port-harcourt-bus-driver-who-was-molested-4fa0.jpg The commercial bus driver was allegedly beaten up by Port Harcourt policemen over his refusal to pay them ₦100 bribe This incident reportedly occurred on Monday 21st of December 2020 at the Ada George part of Port Harcourt city and it also led to a massive protest which paralyzed traffic for quite some time on that day. According to press reports, the molested bus driver is identified as one Emenike and he claims to have been paying the ₦100 bribe every day before Dec 21 which the incident occurred. The press reports and photos that were taken at the scene of the incident showed that Emenike was not only harassed and molested, but the barbaric police officers also vandalized his vehicle as well. https://file.naijauto.com/2020/12/23/jxIDw0uA/photos-showing-the-bus-driver-harrased-by-policeme-d3d2.jpg Photos confirm that policemen allegedly vandalized a Port Harcourt bus driver’s vehicle because he had an altercation with them According to Emenike’s narration, a policeman initially hopped into his vehicle and tried forcing him to drive over to the police station just because he refused to pay a ₦100 bribe on the day of the incident. Emenike claimed that he drove for a while before stopping the car and refusing to go further because he could see other policemen ahead. Unfortunately, the other policemen eventually came to his car, dragged him out, beat him up and stripped him to his underwear. As if that humiliation was not already enough, the rogue police officers still went ahead to damage his vehicle in a horrible way before they finally left him. >>> Read more: https://naijauto.com/market-news/policemen-driving-against-traffic-attacked-frsc-personnel-7530 As of the time of writing this report, many social media users and news outlet are already calling on the Nigerian police not to sweep this incident under the carpet. In Japan, "Dekotora Truck" is recognized by many as a unique art form, a unique culture that occurs in no other place in the world. Dekotora or Decotora is a brief phrase for "decoration truck", which is used to refer to a form of heavy trucks decorated colorfully in Japan. Drivers of this type often spend hundreds of thousands of dollars chrome plating the entire body, installing neon lights, wrapping Louis Vuitton for chairs and even hanging chandeliers for their "love". https://file.naijauto.com/2018/09/19/UEv3ysze/dekotora5-4728.jpg Some of the dekotora drivers have spent over 100 grand on their cars, and that's only the decoration part only! The explosive and pompous design of these 18-wheelers has attracted the attention of many foreign tourists to Japan, including professional photographers. Now, we will witness the beautiful beam of the culture of the Dekotora truck played by Robert Benson, who has lived in Japan for eight years and was fortunate to attend a gathering of more than 300 dekotora drivers. https://file.naijauto.com/2018/09/19/UEv3ysze/dekotora1-6c3c.jpg Those sparkling cars have drawn attention from many foreign visitors While Dekotora existed in the '70s, it was not until the Toei firm released the action movie "Torakku Yarō", a comedy series about a truck driver in Japan living on a truck, this unique car culture became really popular. One of Japan's largest Dekotora trucks events took place in Chōshi city, where Benson had a chance to participate directly. "All cars function well, and are used by drivers in their daily work," Benson said. "What does not work or do not serve the main purpose of their job is the chrome plated decorations, bells, and whistles." Some drivers spend up to $ 100,000 to decorate their cars. https://file.naijauto.com/2018/09/19/UEv3ysze/dekotora3-283e.jpg When not used for show, they can function just like other trucks: carry commodities and merchandise The cabin of a Dekotora car can be compared to the cockpit of an airplane because it is decorated with a lot of neon lights, countless buttons and controls. However, when running on the road, these lights must be turned off to comply with traffic rules. "Drivers are proud of their accomplishments," Benson said. "It's so overwhelming to my brain, and they spend a lot of money on what they do." https://file.naijauto.com/2018/09/19/UEv3ysze/dekotora4-a39d.jpeg Those tiny sparkling lights have to be turned off during its journey on the road to conform to the law "Attending the event, I do not know whether those drivers are rude or nice, but in fact, they are very, very nice and all are happy to be there. They want me to take pictures of the car and myself, "Benson said. Dekotora trucks are often designed by the drivers themselves for fun or by people who love them for special events. Since the late 1990s, Dekotora has been heavily influenced by Gundam animation. While the other decorations relate to modern art and nostalgic design style similar to Japanese films. "These trucks do not exist in the United States or anywhere in the world," Benson acknowledged. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyvkR8rqlMw Now, let's watch some of the most mesmerizing truck decorations you have ever encountered!
