We're still clicking into gear. I believe once one or two things are sorted in training we will be purring like a finely tuned engine. Remember we scored 6 goals in our first 2 games so the attack can definitely be deadly. Roland17: Our chance conversion is beginning to really bother me. We are creating good scoring opportunities but our forward players are fluffing the lines.
Easily should have been up by 3 before the end of the first half but we couldn’t convert. Saka needs to better, he could have had a brace today.
We seriously need to focus on this aspect. This was same over the weekend, we failed to convert easy chances. |

@Supernerd, Lovewins, and PDPGuy Kanyin came third at the Diamond League Final in a time of 9.97s.
Still room for growth but I'm really bullish on Ajayi's progress. He's now a consistent sub-10sec runner the first Nigeria has had for a while. With a bit more refinement and focus I'm optimistic he can do 9.7secs or thereabout. I'm looking forward to big things from him and Ogazi next year plus Olympics in 2028. |

Bassey could but you're right Alex's consistency is mind blowing. The funniest thing about it is that Iwobi doesn't look like some gym rat who's into fitness and healthy eating yet he stays injury free and always available. TheSuperNerd: It would take a really really really long long long time to see another Nigerian player replicate this. Infact, it may never happen again. This is insane. |

Yeah I would have wanted a few extra bodies in attack before the window closed but let's not panic. We still look solid and attack can only get better. I trust we can get by till January. Fantastic move! Upper midtable club that will definitely provide a great platform to excel. If I'm to describe this transfer window for Nigerian players it's one for foundational laying. No marquee big club move but solid nonetheless. Papi85: 🚨 EXCL: Brighton & Hove Albion reach agreement with Millwall to sign Femi Azeez. Hitman Hearns vs Marvelous Hagler one of the most exciting and brutal rounds of boxing I ever watched. Upon all the nuclear bombs Hearns landed on Hagler's gorodom once the battery ran out. Marvin just efficiently took him out. A40: I can't get over how young he is. His corner let him down astronomically.
Fighting niggas with a chin you don't go head hunting. His corner should have drummed that in his head. Hrgovic is a speedbag that you use to spar. If the KO opening comes you take it. If not. You just box. If you're lucky you open a cut, you damage him enough that he's unable to continue. This should have been drilled in his head from start to finish.
This belief that you can just KO everyone is just not smart. That's like an MMA fighter entering trying to knockout Yoel Romero. Goodluck
There's guys that were unfortunately given fine China chin (Bruno, Hearns, Overeem, AJ, Khan) and certain guys were blessed with granite chin (Vitali, GGG, Hagler, Canelo, Ivanov, Romero)
Fight IQ should always tell you who you're facing and how to approach it |

If there is any news concerning who would head the harmonisation committee, I will still post it here. I get your frustration with Ian Wright however I think he's just saying for players who have served us diligently over the years let them have clarity of their place in the squad so they can adequately plan for the next phase of their career instead of being frozen out like black sheep. That said I also find Ian's pandering and forming objective to be annoying. As if Carragher, Scholes, or John Terry would do the same with their clubs. iamoyindamola: Is something wrong with Ian wright with the rubbish he's spewing out, be like the club have given him too much respect for him to be misbehaving. All these emotional outbursts on a player that doesn't want to improve, and cost us a lot of games In the ucl final there's a ball he would have put mumuduke through on goal he foolishly missed the pass same thing the season we bottled the league when he couldn't pass to saka against lfc. He should be warned severely if something like this happen he will be exile from arsenal committee, not like martinelli is playing for us for free he just refuse to improve himself. How can someone see tzolis and see be talking about martinelli Nonsense and ingredients

Good domineering win last night. Tzolis was fantastic unlucky not to get a goal or assist. Odegaard nearly back to his full form. Saka also looking sharp. Good work out for Rice though I was surprised he started. Hope Arteta seriously manages his minutes well and eases him gently into the seasen. MLS really staking a claim for the starting XI great to see. Happy with the Konsa signing cos Big Gab is looking slightly jaded. Overall excited with what the season has to offer. Unto the next one. If he stays injury free by God's grace I see him realistically getting double digit goals this season. yinkeys: Who watched Coventry yesterday ? How was Awoniyi’s play time ? Bench warmer was named into the team of the tournament. Mr. Carry along never win MOTM for a senior tournament match heck he hasn't even scored a goal. 20 years after Okocha retired FIFA still gave him a honorary MOTM award that's lasting impact. Thank God Okocha scored in the quarterfinals of the same Olympics you use to hype carry along. raumdeuter: Oliseh as DM in Tunisia 94 started all our games and delivered like 5 assists from DM unlike Okocha who was a bench warmer

The question should be the extra debt of 4000 is it going to going into something productive like infrastructure to make your country grow economically enough to earn money in the future that will pay off your debt? We've blown billions of dollars in fuel subsidy payments from Yar Adua to Buhari nothing to show for it than to keep us in an unproductive economic bubble. Like I mentioned earlier we have an infrastructure deficit that the money we've even borrowed can't begin to cover. That's our present reality. So we need hard truths stop borrowing to balance the books and most likely not witness any infrastructural development due to poor revenue or Borrow massively to modernize infrastructure and probably boost productivity with risk of unsustainable debt and higher corruption. Alternatively elect a genius who can do both. izzou: How will the debt of 4000 be financed?
We stopped Subsidy to free up some debt (I agree with this), and then in 3 years, we plunged ourselves into a debt of almost 3 times that of subsidy.
So a debt of 1000 is crucial to be stopped, but a debt of 4000 isn't?
Atiku has now stated that he would add subsidy back. If you can borrow 4000, is it the 1000 that was the problem? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:21pm On Aug 20 |
If Subsidy is brought back how will it be financed? Remember PMB did N30Trn Ways and Means that hasn't been fully paid back. So where will the money from subsidy payment come from? Will Dangote sell at a loss when subsidy is brought back? As to the bold look at it this way. Your house bill is N100 out of it you spend N40 to subsidize data purchase so madam and the kids can enjoy free monthly wifi. Meanwhile you earn N70 monthly out of which you use N40 to pay for wifi mentioned earlier. Now you say everyone should pay for their own data. Now you have restored your full N70 that you earn monthly but you still have N100 as your monthly bill meaning you have to make up the remaining N30 and you don't yet have an alternative revenue so how do you make up the N30? Is it not by borrowing? What I've described crudely it what is happening on a macro level. Subsidy removal as painful as it is has freed up some revenue but not enough to cover all the government current expenditures which for now only can be covered through borrowings. If someone else can find a way to fund all our expenditure without borrowing hey I'm all for it. izzou: So Nigeria saved 1000 from Subsidy removal, and went on to borrow 4000 extra?
So was it really the Subsidy that was the headache in the first place?
Also, with what Taiwo Oyedele showed us, is it fair to agree with Atiku that Subsidy should be brought back? |
