Since the second half against Senegal the French have been on another level. But you're all correct only the Senegalese have caused them some measure of discomfort. Odunayaw: I hold the same opinion. France has barely left first gear in any match at this WC but against Senegal seems to me the only game so far that ruffled them a little. |

Every country has a bogey team. France struggled to beat Paraguay in 1998 same as this year. Besides Paraguay adopted haramball promax with a side dish of dark arts that would make Diego Simeone blush. The Spain I saw against Portugal is very beatable. Don't be deceived because the Portuguese played with ten men throughout the match. By the time Olise handle Cucurela ehn make I wait first whether Spain go beat Belgium. andrewbaba44: Spain doesn’t concede easily
France have to score ,they struggled to score against Paraguay |

Miles ahead couldn't beat us in 120 minutes despite home advantage and biased ref. And we didn't park the bus o. Joebie: Morocco got to the SF in my books considering it is an expanded world cup and they met the strongest title contender. So no dey appease urself.Morrocco is MILES ahead of Naija. You can settle for AFCON owambe as usual |

Could easily have ended 3-0 or 4-0 that's how dominant the French were. Maroc haven't jammed a team that made them look ordinary like that in a while. TheSuperNerd: The Scary "Les Bleus" absolutely decimated Morocco from min 1 to Min 90+. 8 shots on target vs Maroc's 1; 22 shots vs 5 shots. It was a one sided affair as Bounou was kept busy through the entire ordeal. France deservedly march on in Mega Commanding fashion. The win was so dominant that France could afford to throw away a penalty plus Mbappe knew the work was done by 77mins so he asked to be subbed off. Well done to the Atlas Lions for finishing as Africa's best at another WC edition (this time as quarterfinalist, a drop down from semifinalist in 2022) but they were never in the contest vs France.
🔰Now, 6 out of my 12 Favorites/Darkhorses/Outside force selections are still in. 6 are now OUT.
5 of the 6 OUT got booted out by 5 of the 6 still in the competition.
And, 2 more will inevitably fall in the quarter finals coz 4 of the 6 left so far meet one another_* (🏴v🇸🇯 & 🇪🇦v🇧🇪). Argentina meets Switzerland, which is not in this selection.
Quarter Finals Action continues
🟣Next-up in this selection: 🟢 Spain (Top 5 Fav) vs Belgium (Darkhorse) on July 10th.
Top 5 Favs in no order: - Spain✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)* - France✅️✅️✅️*(Semifinals)* - Portugal✅️❌️⭕️ - Argentina✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)* - England✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*
Solid Dark horses: - Brazil❌️❌️⭕️ - Germany❌️❌️ - Netherlands❌️❌️ - Belgium✅✅️*(Quarter finals)* - Croatia (coz of their last 2 WCs)❌️❌️ - Norway✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*
Outside Force:
- Morocco✅️✅️❌️⭕️

Surprisingly I learnt that Akanki's grandfather is related to my great grandfather's uncle's sister's boyfriend. So c'mon you Swiss! Ibime: Who are we not support our brothers Manuel Obafemi Akanji and Noah Arinzechukwu Okafor. Blood is thicker than water.
Coincidentally my cousin is Godmother to Noah Okafor and I have visited his parents house (next door neighbour to my cousin) in the village of Arisdorf near Basel. So Swizz gets my support anyday. |

Really? Dude impressed me. Intelligent player used his abilities to maximum effect. TheSuperNerd: That Black Egyptian #12, Haissem Hassan is a Foreign Born that switched allegiance from France to Egypt earlier this year. He plays for Real Oviedo and balled in La Liga this past season. You could easily see his impact on the Egyptian team. Baller!
His side was eventually relegated to La Liga 2 ahead of 2026/27.
Too bad the Argies took him out and he had to be subbed coz of injury on 73mins. The lad dey ball. |

Yeah the Egyptians were overpowered by the Argentinians wasn't so much as a bottle job. That said Hassem Hassan going off injured spoilt the Egyptians momentum. That said I think they were a bit naive to have gone gong ho after conceding the equalizer. Odunayaw: It is Senegal that is deserving of flogging not Egypt. The momentum was never with Egypt. Yes they could have held on but it is not like Senegal's match where they relinquished their momentum and became wussies |

Kanyin will be a dependable medal outlet in the nearest future God willing. TheSuperNerd: In Athletics, Nigeria's Kayinsola Ajayi has done it again! 9.84secs national record.
9.84s!!🔥
