Stacked squad. Should be able to snag enough medals at the Commonwealth Games. TheSuperNerd: Not football related, but this is Nigeria's squad invited ahead of the Commonwealth games.
Some world beater names on the list.

Good step in the right direction if true. Chelle has shown ambition and passion for the Nigerian project. TheSuperNerd: More details...
🔵Agreement reached on Eric Chelle's Super Eagles contract renewal as well.
🟤Eric Chelle will also take charge of the Nigeria U-23 team, with his assistants to be announced by the NFF.
🟣Chelle is expected to earn 100,000 (currency subject to official confirmation) under the new contract.
🟠The NFF will prioritize qualification for the next AFCON.
⚫️Long-term focus has now shifted toward securing qualification for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Doc honestly you get time and energy! Yorubas say a person pretending to be asleep can never be woken up. Sometimes I'll see some posts and want to respond but I'll rethink it again because it's not worth it if the person you're replying is in a passionate relationship with agenda. TheSuperNerd: He has no point please. You keep going back to just one game... The DRC game... as convenient excuse to justify a point that no longer holds.
The same Super Eagles showed heart after that DRC episode at the Afcon tournament. We all saw how far that team went and how Morocco needed big time refereeing favors to navigate that semifinal fixture on their home turf.
The same DRC with their physical size were undone by Algeria. Same Algeria who bested DRC were humbled and dismantled from Minute 1 to Minute 90+ by the Super Eagles in the next KO fixture.
So let us stop the convenient exaggerations. The Super Eagles under Chelle has come a long way now and metamorphosed, so far, into a fearless unit and the metamorphosis is not even finished. |

Worst African side by far. Even Xenophobia FC showed small backbone against Czech Republic as poor as they are. Ibime: Tunisia should hurry up and go home and never be seen in the World Cup again. No. Obviously not. The issue here is nobody asked you for this war in the first place. This was self inflicted. Why should I applaud someone that deliberately touched a hot stove and then quickly rubbed red oil or lavender oil to cushion the effects. How about not touch the hot stove to begin with

Based on this deal what is their incentive to act right especially as more and more of these monies become accessible to them

You make solid points however people will also rate how successful you are with how well you do in your home Confederation. How many AFCON finals heck even Semis have the Moroccans reached in the last 6-7 years? Senegal undeniably have shown their pedigree as the best footballing country in Africa winning 2 AFCONs and reaching 3 finals in 5 years. Argentina before winning the 2022 WC had already done it in South America winning the 2021 Copa America. Spain too before winning the WC in 2010 won the 2008 Euos. You can have a good team full of talented players but if you lack the character of winners it wouldn't guarantee success. Netherlands and Belgium are example of good teams with outstanding players and performances in tournaments but when it mattered most then fumbled and the reason they are not rated in the higher echelons of world and European. That's the lens from which I'm currently assessing the Moroccans. Mybettingtips: it’s not about hype. You watched the quality of football displayed yesterday, you saw how they marshaled the midfield, with quality fast flowing passes. They’ve been good for years. You know how we would hype our team if we were the ones with such a team. 4th place last World Cup and you saw how they started their new World Cup campaign. Watch how Morocco will top their group, Brazil will finish second in that group . |

Not even because of their league (although that would be a fair point based on how often they feature in European club competition) but the sprinkling of talent they have available playing in some time top European clubs in Spain, Germany, and Italy. charlesemeka85: who dey rate turkey 🇹🇷? Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 3:44pm On Jun 14 |
They are good but I'm not on the hype train. 2024 AFCON beaten by SA. 2025 AFCON couldn't score a single goal in regulation time against us and Senegal but they are world beaters? Na so people talk after 2022 WC so I will not be surprised if some people begin getting excited again after yesterday's performance. mostob: Morocco will dominate African football
We have been hearing this statement for 5 years now. Their women team lost two finals in a row. The reason why Morocco got to the last Afcon final was because of the unserious players we paraded. Even their cheating couldn't save them.
Infrastructure? Yes Talent poaching? Yes
I'm not going to let the hate watch prevent me from giving them kudos sha. They play excellent and slick football but that doesn't translate to automatic domination. TBH, Brazil were poor yesterday too. |

Hmm D'Law I watched the first 45 minutes Brazil's match last night I begin tackle myself say no be delulu make me predict them to win WC? There was a sequence during the game where Igor Thiago missed a chance to score with a header and immediately the cameraman panned to Kaka, Roberto Carlos, and Ronaldo seated in the stands. Poignant reflection of how the standards have fallen in Brazil. As much as Morocco rattled Brazil I felt the Samba Boys could have nicked it with better finishing no thanks to Raphina and Igor. The Moroccans with a better forward at the level of Osimhen would have won yesterday. Loved how compact their defense was but men the way their midfield stringed passes especially when Buoaddi came on was a joy to watch. Mujtahida: I started watching football during USA 94. As a child of the 80's I was already conscious of Brazil being a superpower in football. When I seriously started following football, I fell in love with Romario, Ronaldo de Lima, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho but somehow I never supported Brazil and I still don't support Brazil.
It however hurts me that Brazil has now become like any other football team. Morocco is Brazil and Brazil is Morocco.
A sad spectacle for football. Chai
Morocco has improved and that is good but Brazil has become mediocre. It really has nothing to do with Morocco. Brazil no longer strikes fear in the heart of their opponents. See how Morocco was knocking the ball around with the Brazilian players rooted in between like training cones.
Kai Germany,Una do this one. That 7-1 defeat in 2014 before their home crowd in Rio spiritually decapitated Brazil. |

I heard they fapped the jerseys and other kit of the English national team. God knows if they had stolen somebody's pen 16 years ago in South Africa, BBC, Sky News, CNN, and co would have run back to back hour on the hour news coverage of how Africa is not safe and increasing crime rate. izzou: Qatar didn't do half of what the US have done in this WC, and yet the West cried and groaned like the Israelites of old.
What of hundreds of CIV supporters that were denied entry? Na terrorism links too?
