Bokajimike: Hello Nairaland,
I am seeking advice on relocating to either Germany or Canada at the beginning of next year. I currently work remotely as the sole UI/UX designer for a tech company in Nigeria. I am married and in my late 20s. The idea of relocating has been on my mind for a few months now, and I have seriously been considering leaving the country. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
A friend suggested that I could move through a study program, but I am not sure if I can focus on academics at the moment. I am keen to hear how others have successfully and legitimately relocated. My wife is insistent that I shouldn’t leave the country without her, so I am planning for both of us to move together.
I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with relocating to either Germany or Canada. If you prefer to share detailed information privately, my email is in my signature.
Thank you in advance for your help. Consider Georgia or Russia. That money is more than enough to get you both into Georgia and Russia and there are jobs. |

Unperturbedpota:

Your comment is as laughable as it is poorly thought out. Blaming idle soldiers and police for the actions of vandals and saboteurs shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how security and governance work. Let's break down your flawed reasoning and point out the real issues.
Firstly, expecting soldiers and police to shoot vandals on sight reveals a dangerous and inhumane mindset. Do you really think summary executions are the solution? What you’re suggesting is anarchy, not law and order. Enforcing laws requires more than just brute force; it requires intelligence, strategy, and respect for human rights.
Secondly, firing Mele Kyari for issues that are systemic and deeply rooted in corruption, inadequate infrastructure, and poor governance is a simplistic and naive solution. Leadership changes are necessary, but they need to be part of a broader strategy that addresses the root causes of these problems.
Your suggestion that soldiers and police should act as executioners is not only illegal but also counterproductive. It would lead to more chaos, human rights violations, and international condemnation. The real solution involves comprehensive reforms in security, better coordination between agencies, and robust community engagement to tackle the root causes of vandalism and sabotage.
Blaming one person or suggesting extrajudicial killings doesn't address the complexity of the situation. It's time to move beyond simplistic and violent solutions and start thinking about sustainable, lawful, and humane ways to protect national assets and ensure security.
If you truly want to see change, advocate for systemic reforms, accountability at all levels of government, and better training and resources for security personnel. Your current approach is not only misguided but dangerous, and it's certainly not the way to build a stable and prosperous nation. You are dumb ooo attacking him without understanding his point |

A rice distribution to less than 1% total population will do sh!t to price?
Is this a pathetic effort to depend a failed administration.
Kai! 🤦🏽♂️ I am not defending shit. It's a ripple effect. In fact let me lecture you a bit. If a reliable source should go to the media and lie that "next week, the government is giving a bag of rice to every family in Nigeria" . Certainly this is a lie but if that info is perceived to be credible, prices will fall this week. This speculative forecasting is a big concept in economics and it has been affecting our currency for years. Manipulating prices without injecting money not product into the economy, just manipulating the mindsets of people. . I am just saying it is even possible to crash prices with speculations and mere words talkless when real value is injected. Check my profile I am not a Tinubu supporter but if you are OBIDIENT, you shouldn't be talking about a failed economy and failed palliative distribution brouhaha. Obi invested in alcohol for crying out loud and another governor who managed CBN for years successfully has come out to claim that Obi did nothing! |

MasterJayJay: They made it 25kg so it would appear that it's big
Let's use the normal size which is 50kg. The 1,200 bags of 25kg will be 600 bags of 50kg rice. 600 bags for 1 state, that's for 600 families. 600 families times 36 states (plus Abuja) = 22,200 families to benefit out of millions of families. The idea is to increase product supply, reduce demand and crash prices. If properly distributed, even that little quantity can crash prices by about 5% for the next two months. |

OlaHolla: Nice piece but the cheetah only sustains top speed for 3-5seconds. I think you meant to say the time it uses for high speed chase during hunts, they constantly reduce their speed (decelerate) to avoid burning from the inside out. Based on researches by many wildlife experts, a cheetah can run continuously at 90km/hr + for nine minutes. Burst speeds is usually at the beginning or towards the end of the hunt and could last 45 to 60 seconds, most being top speed. Muscular and backbone flexing increases the body temperature of cheetahs at a very high rate and could cause confusion, and convulsions starting with confusion. We know that preys often turn back on the cheetah and the cheetah would scamper and not just back off but run away as if it has become the prey(confusion) By studying the onset of this symptom and the speeds leading to it we can effectively time, for how long a cheetah can sustain top speeds and it is an average of 45 seconds. 'top speed' is any speed above 100km/hour |

mrksquare: All animals can be tamed. Is a matter of training them from when they were birth to maturity. Go to UAE and Indians, must millionaires have tigers and lions as pet. Go to Russian, must Russian have big bear 🐻 as pet. No. These animals cannot be tamed. It is scientifically proven that they can always turn on their owners and it has happened several times. Most of these pets you mentioned are genetically modified through series of breeding. Even so, they remain wild. . What you see in circus shows as wild animals are animals forced to 'obey' using torture and several persuasive techniques and even that, has led to the death of many lion handlers. If you don't believe me, tame a crocodile, when it grows to 20 foot, swim with it. This is the law of nature. Instinct to kill is genetically imprinted. It's like saying you can tame an human being to not grow hairs. He has no choice, if you are not bald in your lineage, you have no control over your tendency to make hairs. |

Cooleasy: You know so much about cheetahs. Are cheetahs harmless to humans in the true sense of the word? Cheetahs and Jaguars are the two big cats that can be tamed like house cats. It's like asking if a dog is harmless to humans. I think it depends on who owns the dog. Your own dog is virtually harmless to you no matter how big and powerful it is, but to a stranger, we know the full story. However wild cheetahs are the only wild animals that will not unnecessarily attack a human being. If you are faced with cheetahs in the wild there is a 60% chance they won't attack you especially if you look big. . But if you ever come across a Lion, tiger, leopard in the wild, bro, say your last prayer. |
Pets › Re: Fear Grip Residents As Hyena Escapes From Jos Wildlife Park by ChristCee: 8:31am On Jul 09, 2024*. Modified: 11:13am On Jul 09, 2024 |
Welcum: I didn't even know that Nigeria still has any form of wild-life conservation institution. I think hyena is the fastest animal? If so, just know that a hyena could be found in your community any time from now. fastest land animal is the cheetah can sprint between 80 to 130 kilometers per hour. Gazelles and pronghorn antelopes are the second fastest land animals reaching 97 - 105 km/hr. Science believe that Cheetahs constantly preying on Gazelles caused the evolutionary trend of gazelles to evolve speed which in turn caused the cheetahs to evolve faster speeds. For instance, Cheetahs evolved long tails that acts like the rudder of an airplane to cope with gazelle's increasing speed. With this tail a cheetah can mimic and replicate gazelles's doggedness and sudden changes in direction of travel without losing speed. It's one of the many examples of how an ecosystem shapes the life forms in it. Survival of the fittest. In 40% of all hunting runs, a gazelle would still outrun a cheetah. Cheetahs can only sustain 130km/hour for about 45 - 60 seconds, they only switch to maximum speed if they feel they could close in on the prey. Cheetahs would not wish to be totally exhausted from a hunt, because after the kill, they need strength to protect it. |
