jamjo:
What is it with open drainage in the Southeast other new areas in the west and even Kano are closing the open drainage we are building and celebrating mediocrity. spyder880 you are one of the builders when are we going to start seeing 21st-century constructions.
I'm as surprised as well.

Is it the cost or something else, if it's the cost, they can as well make just one closed drainage at the either side of a road instead of constructing it on both sides and then tilts or slant the side that doesn't have ditch towards the side that has the drainage for proper channeling of runoffs. then instead of the drainage they will now construct durable pavements or walkways on either sides of the road with strong kerb.

This shouldn't be a rocket science.
Education › Re: Medicine And Surgery: Is It Worth The Attention It Gets? by christejames(m): 2:02pm On Apr 19, 2018
Why did you have to use the Igbo family for such example? does it mean that it's only the Igbo parents that harp on their wards to study medicine, all because of the money? that's the weak point of this great write up.
Be that as it may, the piece is a great one and enlightening. How I wish our teenagers or young lads still nursing the idea of studying 'medicine or nothing' have a glance through this well scripted work. Not just medicine, most so called professional or lofty courses are now becoming irrelevant in the present day Nigeria. Our youths aren't helping matter, they are easily swayed by what the society has been holding onto for long, none of them wants to make that paradigm shift.
The only place where there are tilting towards whenever they can't make it to the so called highly rated course is, entertainment, which ain't bad but is becoming saturated.

I know very soon we would have that leader that would put everything in place the way the suppose to be.

OK, I don't know much about him and also it seems he is not media type.
Yeah!

His major bane is that he is overly shy but I think he is working on it lately... although he is vocal online. You can search him and follow him on facebook.

What has he done?
He is a nice man. I'm in Gombe currently and can attest to his developmental strides in the state. He is a performer and also young...

I think Nigeria would be safe under him.

Like the first commenter, I would also suggest optometry. The both courses are nice though but our society sees nursing as more feminine...

You think PDP will act like APC that hit the ground crawling?

PDP has learnt from its mistakes and is now rejuvenated so get that into your skull if it's foggy.

You don't need to sound it, PDP will hit the ground running immediately its declared winner not even after inauguration. That's when the new wave of development in Nigeria would be birthed.

I love this reply. Amaechi and his cohorts that embezzled the funds of their respective states just to sponsor the election of this present administration should start voting it before they tender their own apologies...

Buhari must go #B2D come 2019.

Watch how Lai Mohammed will spew as usual, he will go thus... "Buhari promised us an airport that will rival the one in Dubai, this is just the beginning as we are positioned to build 'international airports' in all the local government areas"

Someone should tell me the number of days left for Bubu to be booted #B2D in 2019?

hope the countdown has begun.

They should keep deceiving themselves with this insurgency crisis. If they like, they shouldn't go and find lasting solution to the melee... Oops!! I forgot, the terrorists can never be annihilated permanently but rather technically. Or maybe, there is something they are gaining from these whole imbroglio.

Nevertheless, can't wait for some of the so called repentant terrorists to escort Buhari #B2D in 2019 cause everyone is tired of him.

The new Bon Sunshine Hotel, Enugu.

we need more of such higher and taller condominium/tenement leisure structures to change the skyline of the city. I envision a city where skyscrapers would be seen as bungalows; that is, having them dotting our skyline.

Coal City is Nigerian nay African City for the future!

LOL!

Actually I'm from the east, I'm not a northerner. Sorry for your experience in Taraba state, but here in Gombe state (same northeast) it's a different ball game entirely. The people here are good to be with and somewhat civilized.

Oops! I forgot the state is having rapid urbanization currently.

I'm not saying serving in the North is entirely bad... But states in South South, South East, South west are better. Northern States are at the bottom. Stop arguing you know the truth
Finally you've written what I want to see. I am not saying the north is better than those regions, all I'm saying is that the place is OK to serve.

You just scribbled down a fallacious article. I can tell you from experience that the north is among the best regions to serve, safe for some skirmishes here and there which is not even peculiar to the region alone. I would say it's the best place to serve.

How many southern states indegines still respect corps members? but here in the north once they get to know that you are a corp member and also from South (especially east), you will be regarded in high esteem. The people here are nice, don't listen to the picture the media or stereotypes the southerners have for them. Things are cheap here for real, even house rent. So forget that negative notion you have been nursing for them.

They are hospitable but like everywhere else, BE CAUTIOUS!
