Aregbesola is proving doubters like me wrong in terms of governance. His major undoing is owing his workers backlogs of salaries.

Where orderliness matters!

It can never be a Catholic priest.

LOL! Have you asked about Father Adasu of Benue state? go and check him up. I think he was a one time guvnor. I'm Catholic though before you bash me.

back to the topic, the young man is only vying for a representative position which we direly need a capable and honest person to man. If he fits the criteria for a good representative then I have nothing against his ambition other than wishing him the best.

ARROBA:
Air Peace Takes Delivery of New B777 Aircraft

Nigerian carrier, Air Peace, has taken delivery of one of its newly acquired Boeing B777-200 aircraft in preparation for its commencement of international operations.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 274 capacity aircraft, christened “Ikechukwu “, touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 3.30 pm on Friday.

The aircraft, which was flown in by Capt. Victor Efionu and his team, was received by the Chairman of Air Peace, Mr Allen Onyema and other top aviation personnel.

Onyema said Air Peace recently began flights to Banjul, Freetown and Dakar in the West Coast of Africa, stressing that it would soon start flights on international destinations including Dubai, Guangzhou-China, London, Houston, Mumbai and South Africa.

“Air Peace is ready to begin operations on these routes as soon as we get the cooperation of our aviation agencies, our home governments, and the outside governments of the countries we are going to .

As soon as we get their cooperation, we will make it happen, ” Onyema said.

According to him, what Air Peace has done in less than three years of operations shows clearly that Nigerian airlines can compete and even perform better than the legacy airlines if there is a level playing field.

” This is the first time a Nigerian carrier is acquiring a B777. What we have had in the past is through leases which were not favourable to the airline operators.

“So, I don’t believe that Nigerian airlines cannot compete favourably with the others. What we have been lacking is the necessary support.

“Within the last three years, we have been able to increase our fleet size to 24 aircraft. That is rapid growth and we are still growing stronger,” he said.

Onyema further dispelled insinuations that Nigerian airlines were not safe, noting that Air Peace spent up to $2.5 million annually in maintaining a single aircraft on its fleet.

“So, in terms of safety, we can assure our guests of the very best because even our technical partners is a firm from the United Kingdom.

“Air Peace cannot be said to be weak or indebted and if there are airlines that are going through that, they should come out and name them instead of generalising, ” he added.

The Air Peace chairman also reiterated his opposition to the Single African Air Transportation Market (SAATM), stressing that it was of little or no benefit to Nigerian airlines.

He said currently, the treaty does not favour Nigeria because other countries use high charges to discourage Nigerian airlines from operating to their cities.

According to him, when their own airlines come to Nigeria, they pay relatively less charges than what they level Nigerian carriers.(NAN)

This is great news since they intend making AIIA, Enugu their international hub. This will bring healthy competition between them and Ethiopian airline which ultimately leads to the viability and growth of the airport. More airlines we seek!

She killed it herself or she just took pictures with it...

Everything in those pictures reek of food for the Ogas at the top.

Thank God he even reacted but taking action would be a hurdle to cross...
I'm happy I have dusted my PVC waiting for #B2D campaign come 2019.

So what's he trying to imply?

He wants to use that as a yardstick to justify the ineptitude and ineffectiveness of our leaders?

We all know no part of this earth is perfect but the imperfections in Nigeria alone is mindblowing.

Thank God my PVC is handy, operation #B2D why correcting my mistakes in 2019.

I just can't wait to see this man making his final journey to Daura from Aso Rock in 2019.

...and Akanu Ibiam stadium, UNN and Delta State polytechnic stadium, Oghara were omitted?

Well, let me take it that that of UNN is uncompleted that's why it didn't make it but Delta State polytechnic? Nah! their stadium is way better than most of the stadia posted here. Even at Nsukka, the game village has several sports complexes that are of the same construction design or archetype with the ones posted here, for example, there is cricket pitch, hockey pitch and other football fields aside the main stadium with each having at least a single row grandstand like the ones posted.
And don't forget that UNN is multi campus with the campus at Enugu already having a completed stadium fitted with modern facilities like floodlights et al. Therefore, the school has two main stadia.

Try and go round Nigeria!

Nigeria is just a huge Theatre of comedy with our leaders who are bereft of any comic wit at the Centre stage of play...

RIP to him!

I hope the symposium was imparting...

That's not the state's govt project therefore all the eulogies and praise should be directed to the appropriate individual that made it possible.

A common thing or display by all these thieves and pilferers is the way they look meek and forlorn whenever they are caught as if they are incapable of doing what they did, which makes some onlookers to start developing sympathy and empathy for them...

One down onto the next one!

congratulations! it's a great milestone attained. I pray that you go higher as a representative of the family and also lift the family higher...

Just remain focused during your service year!

Based on your criteria I think you did quite a commendable job but I'm still at lost why Baze University Abuja didn't make the list into the private schools...

Government of transparency indeed.
I can't wait to bid Bubu farewell to Daura come 2019!

Government of transparency indeed.

That's why I love PDP, they don't play politics of hate and vituperation...

I'm loving the rejuvenated PDP! I can't wait for them to be declared winner of next years general elections.

Sai Mr Project!!

Is it not Nigeria again? our maintenance culture is abysmally zilch.
We complain of dearth of infrastructures in our tertiary institutions but the few and little ones on ground are proving herculean for us to manage, after we would turn our blame to the leaders. I'm not exonerating our leaders though cause their awful performance in governance stems from the poor quality of education imparted to them.

What is wrong with our uniform most times?
Is like they all need to be taken on a course on how to handle weapons and how to manage their anger. They are easily peeved by response of motorists.

RIP to the hapless victim.

An ingenious work!

HigherEd:
I guess a stadium isn't priority for UNN for now. Maybe they want to spend money on other critical things first.

Yeah. You may be right...

ThaCayman:
You dey UNN now? Me too. Which hostel?

I graduated two years ago. I stayed in Eni-Njoku and Alvan hostels... currently serving though.

HigherEd:
How many seater is that of UNN?

Still uncompleted but from the grandstands constructed so far it can accommodate more than 15,000 spectators. I bet when completed it would host some of our local league matches.

Beautiful stadium. How I wish UNN will just complete her stadium which would make it the largest academic/school stadium in the country.

Covenant is truly pulling weight!

That's Nigerian institution for you, putting students under pressure just to look strict.

I love this...

The response to the name change is classic and uplifting. The man was truly an Icon that should be immortalized and choosing FUNAI is a step in the right direction.

Prof Nwajiuba has transformed the school into a burgeoning academic melting pot. Amongst the newly created federal universities, I dare say FUNAI is the best. They have even started offering Medicine and post graduate studies.

Congratulations to the real slayer.

When will firms and organizations like Multichoice start motivating intellect?
