If you want to attend any of those schools base on achievement i think UNN has an edge over OAU. UNN has produced prolific lawyers/barristers since ages (her law faculty is the first in the country). I'm not trying to write off the OAU though. Just go and start preparing for jamb cause the two schools are very competitive in terms of admission. Thanks! |
Wishing him well as he strive to transform his people of Offa! |
By Ediri Ejoh TheFederal Government has announced plans to establish a 1000 mega watts coal power plant in Enugu state. The President, Goodluck Jonathan, who disclosed this in Enugu, said the plant is expected to help address the epileptic power situation in the country. Jonathan, who was represented by Vice President Namadi Sambo, said the plant would complement other electricity projects being executed by the Federal Government and private investors in the area and ensure that Enugu and the rest of the South-east region enjoyed improved electricity supply. The Federal Government had a couple of weeks ago said the country is capable of generating up to 30 per cent of its energy needs from its coal resources using environmental-friendly clean technology. Jonathan said the country is endowed with abundant coal reserves of the required quality necessary for power generation. To this end, the Federal Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Coal to Power for the development of Ezinmo Coal Block in Enugu and a 1000 megawatts coal power generating plant. The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and HTG-Pacific Energy Consortium for the development of the Ezinmo Coal Bricks. According to Jonathan, “Nigeria is endowed with abundant coal reserve of the required quality necessary for power generation and there is no reason why we should not explore the sector.” He added that the signing of the MoU is a sysbol of the growing synergy between the Ministries of Mines and Steel Development and Power to attract investors to coal-fired oil generation opportunities. “We expect the co-operation to continue until we get the desired destination in terms of our power needs,’’ he said. Also speaking, Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, argued that the MoU was on the utilisation of the mining license, granted by the Federal Government for the Ezinmo coal block. According to him, the license was granted to an indigenous company with a Chinese partner, HTG-Pacific Energy Consortium, for the exploitation and mining of the coal block at Ezinmo. Continuing, the Minister noted that Ezinmo was a very large coal block which ranged from Enugu State to Benue State. Nebo said the signing of the MoU, would be followed by Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that would authorise the investors to build the coal-fired power plant. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/fg-establish-1000mw-coal-power-plant-enugu/ |
chimkaire:Chaii! I no know say my loud voice don wake them oo. The goat is not only wicked oooo, its like someone sent it from the village to follow Atikwu oo |
Wow! So funny! Hope the opposition won't see the goat as a paid agent just like the numerous ones on nairaland. LOL!!! |
egift: Please can someone show us some of the major projects David mark has brought to Benue State.don't mind them. In terms of project can David Mark be compared to his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu of Enugu west senatorial zone? ...visit Otukpo, the purported capital of this Idoma nation and you would be sorry for the kind of leaders they have. No visible infrastructure, the only project from David that is still up and running is Joy Fm 96.5 which he established about seven years ago, even that station is longer as interesting as its used to be, currently all their major programmes are just in accordance with the Senator's electoral ambition. His people are tired of him, don't mind those posters above trying to make senator look innocent. Even if the senator is contesting the governorship position it would have been better cause with his quite popularity, he would usurp power from those power drunk Tivs that has held that position since time immemorial. |
tandj: Faun, sorry o i vamoosed!wow! That means you've gone round Nsukka oooo. I'm currently a UNN student, didn't know much about my town until I returned home from the north for studies in Nsukka. Yea I know that man (Fidelis) my family had one of his songs CDs, he is the one that sang the famous "kabeleka" song of Nsukka, he has acted movies with the Nollywood. The last of his movies that I watched was acted in Nsukka (precisely my hometown Obukpa) a native movie featuring Pete Edochie and other high profile actors/actress, the movie was interesting mehn!!!. Fidelis was the anchor during the presentation of the award of the best writer of literature won by Chika Unigwe from Anambra state (a lioness) and somebody Achebe (Chinua Achebe's niece), the award organised by NLNG (Nigerian liquidfied natural gas) also feature Peter Obi, Bath Nnaji and other high profile Nigerians (I was there live!!!). That Fidelis man is really impeccable. Nna you too much about NSK!!! |
Truly our old trafford, really enjoyed it way back with my friends in Benue. Life was smooth and easy then with little or nothing to worry about. |

You want our economy to be akin to that of Zimbabwe? Or betterstill , you want this great country to become a banana republic? ...your plans against this country is dead on arrival LOL!!! |
Creative I must say its not easy, kudos! |
It looks like he already had shoe then cause that robe (jalabia) that he is wearing should be quite expensive during the '80s LOL. BTW, he looks energetic then and still is... Wow! That my presido that would be leaving the office by 2019. GEJ well don! |
Energito God bless you for the promotion. I believe this will shun the mouth of haters of that state always seeing the state as a "backward" one with no visible infrastructure. Now they know that that state has dualised roads, highrise buildings, international market, schools et al which other states that we are hyping (currently) are hyped because of such projects. I'm not trying to exonerate Ochendo from blame but we need to cut that man some slacks, his state is the least in terms of allocation but we are seeing some major projects from him although he still need to do more and better... Thanks again Energito!!! More power to ur elbow! |
Beautiful thread! More coordinated than the first one. I just hope that guy won't see this thread to feast on the way he did to the first one. |
Collynzo22: Why should I tell you my full name? You were the one derailing this thread claiming that you went to FUTO, studied EEE and graduated in 2011.forget that guy. That's Chino with one of his numerous monikers. |
patttcom: Good observation.hahaha... They should just desist from all this names calling and focus on their role as opposition. |
Our thread keep soaring high, thanks Oga Spyder. |
Faun: "Action, Action, Action" yet no pictures of the Anambra El Dorado?don't mind that guy called Chino (or is it China?), he is just enigmatic to himself looking for who and where to pour his frustration. He needs help asap! |

thank God you also saw it. |
I love the way the writer categorized foolishness especially of Nigerians cause it actually depicts the most of our behaviours. But trying to align with the opposition is where the writer got it all wrong, instead it should have remained neutral to carry everyone along. So from this fallacy committed by the writer (hasty generalization) i exonerate myself and other wise Nigerians from the FOOLISH article. PEACE!!! |
Great state indeed. The state is gradually reclaiming its rightful position in this state called Nigeria. |
Thanks for sharing. That's very kind of you. |
Wow! Impressive. I just hope the thread would be maintained just like the Enugu thread. The onus is now on every anambrarian to ensure this thread is sustained by posting current pictures. And please ensure the pictures are tagged before posting (not commanding u guys but making a suggestion). Thanks! |
McWhillion: It is being translated to Nigerian Englishyou funny abeg LOL @Nigerian English. |
How authentic is this info? ...if its true, that means anything that has beginning must surely come to an end, GEJ has finally been vindicated. |
So pathetic!! Wada is not the only guvnor on that echelon of failure, his neighbour Suswam is just a carbon copy of him (wada). Both (and other nonperforming) have continuously dragged their respective states to the mud. Their states dearth of infrastructures. I just hope our anti-corruption agency like EFCC trail them after their respective tenure, and also make sure they are nailed for tampering with their states treasury. God is watching! |
ElFenomeno1: Peace.thanks bro. |
barcanista: Oga na 14 Years ono mind am |
