Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima and his deputy Hon Usman Durkwa visited the scene of suicide bomb blast at the University of Maiduguri. Governor Kashim Shettima lauded the Vice Chancellor; Prof Abubakar Ibrahim Njodi for his tireless efforts to restore peace and said this is the First act of the Boko Haram in the University.

The governor also assured the University of the government’s commitment to providing adequate security.

Emergency workers have evacuated body of a Professor and others to mortuary after Twin Bomb-Blast from suicide bombers in the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.The incident occured in a mosque near Gate 1, not the main Central Mosque, while the other explosion occured around Gate 5 of the same university.

The incident occurred during early morning Islamic Prayers, Subhi around 5am.Rescue and security officials have cordoned the areas while triage and casualty evacuation have been concluded.

Official from National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and that of Borno State (BOSEMA) confirmed the evacuation of bodies of the Professor, a child and two bombers.

While doctors confirmed the dead of four people including the two bombers, 17 other victims who sustained injuries are being treated by medical personnel.

A ghastly motor accident involving a security car and another vehicle -occurred this early morning at Coker road in Ilupeju area of Lagos. According to reports, the driver of security car was wounded seriously after the crash before being rushed to a hospital.

The Enugu State Police Command has nabbed a 3-man armed robbery gang terrorising residents of Enugu metropolis. The command’s spokesman, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed this in a statement released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Enugu.Amaraizu said that the command’s Anti-Kidnap Unit operatives nabbed the armed robbers following intelligence information.

He said that the armed robbers were trailed and arrested on Jan. 12 in their hideout in Ogidi in Anambra State.

“The command has nabbed a notorious armed robbery kingpin identified as one Chinedu Okeke alongside his gang members identified as Onyedikachi Isiuwa and Tochukwu Nwodo.

“It was gathered that suspects allegedly snatched an Acura MDX Jeep with registration number EKY 642 DJ at gunpoint on Dec. 6, 2016 at Upper Chime Avenue in Enugu and as well stole other valuables.

“Following intelligence information, suspects were trailed to their hideout at Ogidi in Anambra State where the suspects were nabbed after a gun duel. “The gun duel left the suspects fatally injured,’’ he said.

Amaraizu said that the police operatives also recovered some of the stolen items.
“The suspects are currently helping the operatives in their investigations in relation to their nefarious activities,’’ he said.

Okay, we know the most common one: most women lie about the “O” word. But there are other things besides that the modern woman lie about. Very often!

THEIR first gig

For most adult women, the first se xual experience is unforgettable and probably the best ever. Even if they have not kept in touch with their first man, they remember him with fondness if he did not leave them pregnant and stranded with a baby.
But will they ever tell their man this? Never.
Studies show the average woman lies about the age at which she was disvirgined, adding anything between 2 and 10 years to the age. For instance, if a woman got disvirgined at 14 she is likely to put the figure at 20 to her current man. Men, on the other hand, openly boast about their earlier se xual conquests.

That they check out other men
A man might be so close to the girl in his life that he would point out other women’s body parts that he finds attractive and everybody would have a good laugh. On the other hand, a woman would never do that. If she thinks the guy next door has a cute ass, she never, ever mentions it to the man in her life. Not only would she not mention it, she would never eve even make the blunder of oogling the attractive derriere when their man is around. Studies sho women make lewd jokes about other men whe they are with girlfriends just as much as men do, and they even fantasie but are great about hiding it.

That she hates cooking
A few years down the line, many relationships run into crisis on this account- many many women just do not like to cook.

In our part of the world, girls are raised not only to learn how to cook but to happily cook for other people for the rest of their lives, thre times a day. If they cannot live up to that ‘simple’ responsibility, they are complete failures, especially in relationships.

She does not trust him
For all her freedoms and liberation, a woman i far less likely than a man to voice her insecurities in a relationship that the other way round.

She has watched her mother look the other wa more often than not. She has heard her aunt tel her uncountable times of how it’s a man’s world. She has been called names just for showing a flash of jealousy and she has been told by the census that there are more women than men.

Her girlfriends are telling her to be wise and hold on to her straying man and so while he snoops and snoops and finds nothing, she make minimal efforts and finds everything but does she ever mention it? Never..

The reason that hot new househelp gets a shaven head and the girlfriend is told jokingly t do her top buttons up is not because she does not trust her girlfriend or the maid but because she certainly does not trust her man.

Her man might ask the question a dozen times- “honey, do you trust me?” and her answer would be a big fat lying “Yes”

A 55-year-old man who claims to be an Assistant Comptroller of the Nigerian Customs Service has been arrested by the police. The man arrested in Ogun State, police say, has duped unsuspecting Nigerians.

Mr Ariyo Wasiu, a resident of Lagos island was said to have been dismissed six years ago from the mechanic department of the customs for an act of indiscipline.

According to the police, the dismissed officer was arrested while allegedly perfecting his act at a company in Agbara area of Ogun State in south-west Nigeria

The spokesman for the police in Ogun State, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi, said investigation had begun to determine the culpability or otherwise of the fake Assistant Comptroller of Customs.

He said charges would be filed after investigations.

Upon interrogation, the suspect, however, claimed that he was lured into duping as a result of the current harsh economic reality.
